With five miles of ocean shoreline and rugged hills and uplands, two major river canyons, as well as wide grassy valleys dotted with sycamores, oaks and native walnut trees; Point Mugu also provides swimming, body surfing and surf fishing opportunities while its jagged pinnacles form part of Boney Mountain Wilderness Area.

From the south, access the park by turning off of Pacific Coast Highway at Sycamore Canyon Campground. On the west side of Thornhill Broome Park, there is a walk-in group campground with up to 12 vehicles that can accommodate guests. Amenities like restrooms, picnic tables and fire rings are available at this site; reservations must be made up to six months in advance of your arrival date.
