Last week, the nominees for this year's event were unveiled and they include some of pop music's biggest stars. Included among them are Selena Gomez, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny and more.

Aside from these stars, the list also features several first-time nominees: Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Doja Cat, Riley Keough and Jennifer Coolidge.

These are just a few of the nominees competing for a Golden Popcorn Bucket at this year's MTV Movie & TV Awards. Voting is now open and you can vote in 26 categories to determine your favorites.

This year's nominations include fan favorites like Top Gun: Maverick, Stranger Things, The Last of Us and The White Lotus. Furthermore, new categories like Best Reality On-Screen Team and Kickass Cast give your favorite films and shows an opportunity to win big at the ceremony.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards are a celebration of the year's most popular films and shows. Hosted by Drew Barrymore, these awards will air live on May 7 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.

In addition to film and television, the awards will also honor music with performances by Taylor Swift, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo and Muni Long.

Swift has achieved worldwide fame throughout her career, selling over 60 million albums equivalents and featuring 15 singles in the top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 chart (four at No. 1). Additionally, she has toured extensively around the world with an adoring fan base to boot.

Harry Styles

On Sunday, May 7, the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards are set to take place and promise an epic celebration of all the best films and shows released this year. Actress Drew Barrymore will host the ceremony, with many stars already nominated for their roles.

The awards show is a fan-voted event, so you have the power to vote for the nominees you like best. Voting begins this week and will remain open through April 17th; simply visit MTV website or download their app to cast your ballot.

Harry Styles and Selena Gomez have been nominated for the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards, with both singers competing in two categories - Best Villain and Best Kiss - for their roles in Don't Worry Darling and My Policeman, respectively.

Another artist nominated for the 2023 MTV Awards is Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny. He's up for Breakthrough Performance and Best Fight, following his confrontation with Brad Pitt in Bullet Train.

In addition to his music career, he has also appeared on several reality shows and sports teams like WWE. With such an expansive fan base and impressive performing abilities, it is no wonder why he has such a devoted following.

Last year, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy and could win more in the coming years, according to the awards organization. With 10 trophies under his belt, he's widely considered one of the top acts in his genre.

This year, he's been touring with his band The Red Hot Chili Peppers and will be performing at Amway Center in Orlando next August - marking his first ever stadium tour.

This event will showcase live performances from artists like BTS and Cardi B. Additionally, there will be a tribute to music venues affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

The show will take place at Barker Hangar in Los Angeles and be hosted by actress and talk show personality Drew Barrymore. With her longstanding experience hosting awards shows, everyone expects her to do an outstanding job.

Bad Bunny

In just over a month, the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards will begin, featuring no shortage of big name stars nominated for awards. The ceremony takes place on May 7th with actress Drew Barrymore set to host.

On Wednesday, MTV unveiled the list of nominees for its event - featuring stars from both sides of the screen. Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick led with six nominations in film categories while Stranger Things and The Last of Us each garnered six nods on television. In unscripted categories, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, RuPaul's Drag Race, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules each earned two nods.

While many of the big names will likely be present on the red carpet, there are also a number of first-time nominations including Austin Butler for 'Elvis', Bad Bunny for 'Bullet Train' and Bella Ramsey for 'The Last of Us'; Riley Keough for 'Daisy Jones and the Six' and Keke Palmer for 'Nope'. There were also several female-dominated performance award nods such as Aubrey Plaza for 'The White Lotus' and Christina Ricci for 'Yellowjackets'.

There are also some sultry kisses in the Best Kiss category, featuring Harry Styles and David Dawson in 'My Policeman'; Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne in 'Only Murders in the Building'; Keanu Reeves' assassin gets recognition in the Best Fight category for his battles against 'Everybody'.

Experience the fan-voted MTV Movie & TV Awards on May 7 at 8PM ET/PT from Barker Hangar in Los Angeles. Voting is open through April 17 and winners will be announced during the show.

The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards will honor some of pop culture's biggest stars. Drew Barrymore is expected to host the show, with an impressive list of nominees that includes some of today's hottest stars.

The award show is renowned for showcasing the best in pop music, but also has several other categories. In addition to traditional awards, there are often live performances from celebrities and their attractive dates.

One of the most renowned awards shows is the VMAs, often referred to as "Super Bowl for youth." Millions of young people tune in every year to watch their favorite stars walk down the red carpet with an attractive date.

Harry Styles has earned seven nominations this year, including Artist, Song and Video of the Year. Taylor Swift also received six nods this year and she stands a chance to take home one of three new awards introduced this year: Best Longform Video.

Bad Bunny has been nominated for eight different awards this year, including Best Urban Artist and Album of the Year. His album Un Verano Sin Ti hit number one on the charts last year and earned him over $435 million in sales.

Bad Bunny's former girlfriend is suing him for $40 million over a voice recording she provided to the singer before he rose to fame. This is an astronomically expensive lawsuit and one that may prove costly for the rapper.

However, the lawsuit is only a temporary setback as the rapper still has numerous award opportunities to come. The Latin Grammys and American Music Awards are two upcoming events that could provide him with some major recognition.

The Latin Grammys are one of the most beloved award shows in Latin America, yet recent nominations have left some artists disappointed. Reggaeton and Latin trap musicians were excluded from major categories like album, song and record of the year in 2019.

This year, however, the Latin Grammys feature an improved selection of nominated artists. That means there could be major honors for popular Latin trap acts like Bad Bunny and J Balvin.
