The award is voted on by Academy members and will feature nominees Anitta, Omar Apollo, DOMi & JD Beck, Samara Joy, Latto, Maneskin, Muni Long, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle, and Wet Leg.

Performers

The Grammy Awards start at 8pm EST on Sunday, February 5, and livestreams will be available. This year’s lineup of performers features an impressive array of hip-hop and R&B talent. There’s a strong emphasis on contemporary artists, including Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs and Steve Lacy.

It’s also expected that former One Direction member Harry Styles will perform his hit single “As It Was,” which he co-wrote with Blood Orange frontman Devonte Hynes. He was nominated for six Grammys this year, tying him with Kendrick Lamar and Adele for most nods.

Other nominees who are set to take the stage include Sam Smith and Kim Petras. Despite having a new song released just six days before the end of its eligibility period (September 30), the pair is still expected to perform their Hot 100 No. 1 smash, “Unholy,” which was nominated for best pop duo/group performance.

While it’s hard to predict who will be nominated for the top awards, it’s clear that there are several contenders for Album of the Year. With a total of nine nominations, Beyonce leads the pack and is only behind by Kendrick Lamar and Adele.

She also took home the Best New Artist award. If she wins, she will tie Taylor Swift for most awards won.

The night began with a lively performance by Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican rapper sung his song “El Apagon” and later “Despues de la Playa.” He was followed by a performance by Brandi Carlile, a former winner who won five Grammys in 2021.

Stevie Wonder made a memorable third appearance, singing with Smokey Robinson and Chris Stapleton. Their Motown medley was a joy to watch and hear, and Wonder’s vocals still sound as good as they did back in the day.

Hosts

The Grammys are music's biggest night, so it's no surprise that there are a variety of superstars tapped to host the awards show. Viola Davis, James Corden and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are all among the presenters.

The list of hosts for the Grammys 2023 was released on February 1 and is sure to cause quite a bit of buzz around the awards show. But, it's not just the host who will be making an appearance -- several celebrities are set to take to the red carpet and perform live on the show.

One of the most recognizable faces in pop is the queen herself, Beyonce, who leads the nominations with nine. But there are also a number of other artists who could win big in the awards ceremony.

In addition to Beyonce, Adele, Kendrick Lamar and Brandi Carlile are all nominated in the Best Album of the Year category. The winner of this coveted prize will tie Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon for the most wins in the category.

Meanwhile, LL Cool J will introduce and perform the "Hip Hop 50" segment at the awards show, which will feature performances by a variety of hip-hop legends. He'll be joined by The Roots and Black Thought.

Another performer to watch out for is Harry Styles, who has been confirmed to join the Grammys 2023 lineup. Other performers include Bad Bunny, Lizzo, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Steve Lacy and Kim Petras.

The performers also include a slew of country stars. Kacey Musgraves will pay tribute to Loretta Lynn with a song from her "Coal Miner's Daughter" album; Sheryl Crow, Mick Fleetwood and Bonnie Raitt will honor Christine McVie; Maverick City Music and Quavo will pay tribute to the late Migos rapper Takeoff with a performance of his hit song "Without You."

But before all this happens, Laverne Cox will be chatting with Grammy nominees and more on E!'s livestream. After that, viewers can tune in to the award show on CBS and Paramount Plus.

Meanwhile, Bonnie Raitt was the most unexpected winner of the night. She earned the award for her cover of Beyonce's "Just Like That," and her face showed just how surprised she was.

She beat out a handful of other well-known names, including Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Adele and Beyonce. And she’s nominated for Album Of The Year, as well.

Beyonce, of course, is nominated for nine awards and has won 32, putting her on the list of most decorated artists in Grammys history. She has now surpassed the 31-win record held by late conductor Georg Solti.

The awards show is the most important event in the world of music and is a huge celebration for everyone involved. It's a chance to see the biggest names in music perform and also present some of the most exciting new talent in the industry.

Who Votes For the Grammys 2023?

It’s that time of year again — the Grammys are just around the corner. The nominations are now open, and voting is set to close this Sunday, October 23rd.

Voting is an important process for the Academy. It allows members to vote for their favorite artists and help ensure they get recognized for their work.

Beyonce

At the tender age of 11, Beyonce Knowles scribbled out her goals on a piece of paper. She wanted to make a gold album, record a platinum follow-up and write and produce the third.

Beyonce has accomplished all three goals in a big way. Her latest studio project, Renaissance, is a front-runner for album of the year.

Her latest single, "Break My Soul," is also up for best dance/electronic recording. She also submitted songs for R&B consideration, including "Cuff It" and "Virgo's Groove."

She has a good shot at making history in 2023. She's tied with Jay-Z for the most nominations in Grammy history, and she's up for nine awards this year.

Adele

Adele is one of the world's most successful musicians, and her career has been built on the back of a team that has worked tirelessly to promote her work. Her manager Jonathan Dickins is her guiding light, and she has been ably supported by her PR company Purple PR and Richard Russell at XL Records.

She has a powerful voice and a talent for writing songs that resonate with many people. Her first two albums, 19 and 21, sold millions of copies worldwide.

Her third album, 25, earned five Grammy awards, including album and record of the year. In 2021, she released 30 (which has also been nominated for a record of the year award), which drew on her divorce and its aftermath.

Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran is an English singer, songwriter and musician who has earned millions of fans around the world. He has received a number of awards and is one of the most popular artists in the world.

Sheeran was born on February 17, 1991, in Hebden Bridge, England. He is the son of John Sheeran, an art teacher, and Imogen Sheeran, a jewelry designer and publicist.

He first started singing at the age of four and joined a choir as a youth. He also performed at local events and concerts.

Sheeran released his debut EP in 2011, titled No. 5 Collaborations Project, which was a success. It ranked high in several British and iTunes charts. Sheeran soon signed a contract with Atlantic Records. Later that year, he moved to London and started performing. Sheeran has since released numerous albums and singles.

BTS

BTS is a seven-member K-pop boy band that first made its mark in South Korea, where it is now considered one of the biggest groups ever. They've broken countless world records and are known for their authentic music, top-notch performances and organic friendships with their fans.

Their music often talks about mental health, loss, the journey towards self-love, individualism and the troubles of school-age youth. It also usully references literature, philisophy and psychological concepts.

The septet, comprised of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, has received two GRAMMY nominations and has become a major player in the global music industry. Their fandom, called ARMY, is a global community of millions of people that are unified by their love for the group.

Maren Morris

Maren Morris is a country singer whose career has taken off in a big way. She’s been nominated for many awards, including best new artist, and has become a household name in the country music scene.

She’s also been a vocal advocate for transgender rights in the industry. And, despite her pop influences, her recent songs have been a hit on the country charts.

Her debut album Hero was released in June 2016 to critical acclaim and she’s been nominated for multiple awards. She’s also won the Academy of Country Music’s award for best new female artist.

Her journey from a small town in Texas to the top of the country chart has been remarkable. She’s also a mother and a wife. She’s been married to Ryan Hurd since March 2018. And they’ve just welcomed their first child.

Maroon 5

Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band that originated in Los Angeles. It consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, drummer Matt Flynn and keyboardist PJ Morton.

They released their first album, Songs About Jane, in 2002. It did not immediately become a hit, but a year later, it hit #1 on the Billboard charts and launched several singles.

During this period, they changed their style and began using a more funk-oriented sound. The following year, they released It Won't Be Soon Before Long, which spawned their biggest single, "Harder to Breathe."

After the success of their next two albums, Hands All Over and Overexposed, they embarked on a string of top 10 hits including the number one hit, "Moves Like Jagger," which they collaborated with Christina Aguilera on. They also won the GRAMMY Award for Best Alternative Music Album in 2010.

Kendrick Lamar

Born Kenny Duckworth, Kendrick Lamar grew up in Compton, California. He began rapping at the age of 16 and signed with record label Top Dawg Entertainment.

In 2012, he released his first major-label album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, which spawned R&B and hip-hop hits "Swimming Pools (Drank)" and "Poetic Justice."

He has since been nominated for 14 Grammy Awards. He has won three for his rap albums: To Pimp a Butterfly in 2016, Damn in 2018, and Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers in 2023.

He has also won four for his rap performances. He won the Best Rap Performance Award for his single “Humble,” which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. He also won the Best Song for Social Change for his song, “Baraye,” which was posted on Instagram and has received over 40 million views.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is a talented singer-songwriter who has made her name in the industry with her hit singles and albums. Her first album was released in 2006, and it sold over 7.75 million copies worldwide.

She has been nominated for several prestigious awards including Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. She is also a philanthropist who donates to charities.

The singer began her career at the age of 11 by winning a talent competition and she was given the opportunity to perform in front of Charlie Daniels at a local amphitheater. She then signed with a music label called Big Machine Records.

Her debut album, 'Taylor Swift', was released in October 2006. It sold over 7.75 million copies and was nominated for the 'Album of the Year' award at the Grammy Awards.

Coldplay

Since their debut in 1996, Coldplay have gone from a college band to international rock stars, releasing a number of chart-topping albums and performing on major stage shows. They are best known for their euphoric live performances and have a reputation for taking inspiration from electronica, ambient, pop, R&B, funk, classical, jazz fusion and progressive rock.

The band consists of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion. They originally formed as Pectoralz but changed their name to Coldplay in 1998.

Bjork

Bjork first came to prominence as the lead vocalist of avant-pop group The Sugarcubes, but when she launched her solo career after their demise in 1992, she quickly eclipsed their popularity and went on to become one of the most popular and critically acclaimed artists of her time.

She released her first album, Debut, in 1993, which not only established her new artistic direction but was an international hit. She was awarded BRIT Awards for International Female Solo Artist and Newcomer, and throughout the year she had U.K. singles -- including Venus as a Boy, Big Time Sensuality, and the non-LP Play Dead, a collaboration with David Arnold taken from the film Young Americans -- and modern rock radio hits in the U.S.

Her sixth studio album Volta was released in 2007 and was an ambitious release that spanned the whole musical spectrum.
