Star shopping

Star shopping is the practice of heading to a store, mall, boutique, or wherever else and purchasing a star or similar decoration, typically of a decorative or fun nature. The most popular stores for star shopping are typically Hallmark, Macy's, and Forever 21. Star shopping is not merely the act of buying items, however, as the star is a physical representation of the person that it's being gifted to.

ILoveMakonnen and Fall Out Boy recently paid homage to Peep’s memory with the trippy video for the posthumous track “I’ve Been Waiting.” (Source: www.billboard.com)

One of late rapper Lil Peep‘s most beloved tracks, the 2015 ballad “Star Shopping,” was re-released on Friday (April 19) on the MC’s eponymous imprint. In a note explaining the reboot of the song, Peep’s mother Liza Womack wrote in a statement, “Gus actually composed the lyrics to ‘Star Shopping’ on his phone, in his Notes app, on August 16, 2015 — right after a trip to Cambridge for his grandfather’s birthday. The song wasn’t uploaded to SoundCloud until December of that year. That was Gus’s big song, as he got many views and likes on it right away–20k in 24 hours, and over a hundred thousand in a week. He was very excited about that.” (Source: www.billboard.com)
