Diddy Enlists Montell Jordan, Kelis and More to Remake Their Biggest Hits for His Super Bowl Commercial

The King of Hip-Hop is gearing up for his annual Super Bowl commercial and has enlisted some of the greatest artists in the game to remake their biggest hits. The list includes Montell Jordan, Kelis and more.

Originally recorded in 1993, "Crossroads" was originally a posse cut that featured Compton, California-born Eric “Eazy-E” Wright and Wallace “Wally” Laird III -- both of whom would ultimately be murdered. But after the death of Eazy-E, Bone Thugs remade the song to honor him, and it has since become an iconic track in hip-hop history.

Montell Jordan

Montell Jordan is a singer and songwriter who has carved out a musical journey that includes becoming a megachurch pastor. The Los Angeles native, who grew up in the south side of town, started his music career by singing in talent shows and church choirs at an early age. He soon began recording his first songs, which led to the release of his first album This Is How We Do It.

That hit song made Jordan a name for himself and earned him a Grammy nomination. It also helped him achieve success on the R&B charts. In 1995, "This Is How We Do It" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks and reached number four on the R&B charts.

As a member of Def Jam's Def Soul label, Jordan enjoyed a long run as one of the most popular artists on the company’s hip-hop imprint. However, he left Def Soul in 2003 and signed with Koch Records, saying he wanted to mature artistically.

He was able to achieve that goal by putting on a mask and performing on TV’s hit series “The Masked Singer.” In this episode of the show, Jordan explains why he decided to take on the role.

After hearing his performance, Diddy says, “OK, Donna. It’s a great song, you should do this.” He then proceeds to ask her to remix her 1996 hit, “I Love You Always Forever.” She smiles as she sings into the microphone to the tune of the song, which was nominated for the Grammy Award in the category of Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

With the song completed, she hugs Diddy and leaves the studio, saying, “I love you, Diddy.”

Next, Kelis takes her turn in the studio and delivers new lyrics to her 2003 Hot 100 No. 5 hit, “Milkshake.” She croons, “Uber One saves you forever/ Rides and eats, save on whatever.”

Ylvis finishes her track to the tune of her 1998 hit, “It’s My Turn” before Haddaway steps into the studio and sings her 1997 hit, “The World Is Mine”. As they all rework their hits, Diddy sips his cold one and tells his rep that it's time for him to go home.

Kelis

Kelis was born to a family of musicians in New York City. Her father was a jazz musician and her mother was a fashion designer. She is an American singer and songwriter.

After high school, she began working with A-list rappers and R&B artists. She made a cameo on Noreaga’s “Superthug” and Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Got Your Money.” On her debut album Kaleidoscope, Kelis collaborated with Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo of the Neptunes.

The album hit number seven on the UK Albums chart and earned Gold certification. It also featured the hit singles Caught Out There and Forever Be, which remained in the top 10 of the UK music charts for more than a year.

She has toured the world and has shared the stage with many famous singers including Lionel Richie, Patti LaBelle, Michael Jackson, and Rihanna. Her career has spanned 20 years and she has sold over 6 million records globally.

Although her music has been influenced by soul and R&B, she has a strong background in jazz and disco. Her singing style is very unique and her lyrics are often quite witty.

Besides being an artist, she is also a cook and has a culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu in London. She has released cookbooks and has appeared on the TV show Hell’s Kitchen.

Kelis grew up in Harlem, Manhattan. She is the daughter of a musical father and a Pentecostal mother. She has three sisters.

She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York, where she learned to play the saxophone. She also won a spot in the Girls Choir of Harlem.

After school, she worked as a songwriter and producer. She was signed to Virgin Records in 1998 and released her debut album Kaleidoscope the following year. The album is inspired by jazz and disco music from the 1970s.

The album contains the hit song “Caught Out There.” This was her breakthrough and made her one of the most popular artists in the industry.

She has a great social media presence and has many fans worldwide. She has also been the host and judge of several singing competitions such as Pitch Battle and The ked Singer.

Ylvis

The Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis has enjoyed a fairly rapid rise to fame in their home country, but they have only recently started to gain international attention. That changed on Friday morning, when their video for a parody about the sound of foxes went viral.

Ylvis is made up of two brothers, Vegard and Bard Ylvisaker. They began their career performing in their home country's comedy scene, and quickly found success on television and radio. They are now regarded as one of the most successful acts in Norway and have performed on the world's biggest stages.

Their first show, Ylvis - en kabaret, was performed at the Ole Bull Teater in Bergen, and received rave reviews from both critics and audience. Their second performance, Ylvis - en konsert, was also highly successful. Both shows were staged for several years in Bergen and Oslo and on tour throughout Norway.

As they gained more exposure, Ylvis was invited to participate in the TV series Absolutt Norsk ("Absolute Norwegian") and were also featured on the Norwegian version of "Catch Me if You Can." They became very popular on these shows, and were soon invited to appear as regular guests on Trond Viggo Torgersen's entertainment program, TVT.

Since their debut, Ylvis has released a number of singles and albums, and has accumulated numerous hit songs. The group has sold over a million albums in Norway, and are widely regarded as one of the country's most popular entertainment acts.

They have also hosted two game shows, and have appeared in a number of Norwegian films. Their appearance on the Norwegian version of "Hvem kan sla" (Who Can Beat Ylvis?) in 2009 drew a large crowd.

The Ylvis brothers are from Bergen, Norway and have been performing together since their teenage years. Their first show, Ylvis en kabaret, was performed in 2000.

In 2001, they were invited to take part in Rune Larsen's Saturday night entertainment series, Absolutt Norsk. The brothers performed at Ole Bull Teater and Chat Noir Variete in Bergen.

Their performances were well received and quickly became very popular, so much so that they were encouraged to start a touring variety show called Ylvis III. This was a huge success and lasted three years, despite not being filmed.

Haddaway

Nestor Alexander Haddaway (born January 9, 1965 in Trinidad and Tobago) is a German singer who gained prominence with his 1993 smash hit, “What Is Love.”

The song reached the number one spot on several international charts. It was featured as the theme music for the film Night at the Roxbury and the Saturday Night Live show.

After his breakup with singer/songwriter Lisa Loeb in 1993, Haddaway moved to Germany and recorded the album The Drive. This record failed to match his previous success, despite its single, “Fly Away,” reaching the top 20 in a number of European countries.

In addition to his music career, Haddaway has also worked as a teacher and a businessman in Germany. He has run a variety of businesses, including a bar and a fashion and photography company.

Haddaway's most notable contribution to the music industry was his 1993 smash hit, “What Is love.” The song was a major hit in 13 different countries and was featured as the theme music for the film "Night at the Roxbury" and the Saturday Night Live show.

When he wasn't busy singing, Haddaway spent his spare time working as a trumpet player in the school's jazz and marching bands. He also formed an ensemble called Chance, which performed small engagements around the Baltimore area. He later enrolled in political science and history at George Washington University, where he earned his doctorate.

He then moved to Cologne, Germany, where he worked in bars and made music. He also began playing American football and started a carpeting business.

During his time in Germany, Haddaway released a handful of songs, including the 1993 hit, “What Is Love.” He was also a part of the reality television series Comeback, which helped his career.

A few years later, Haddaway released a second album entitled The Drive. This album was another major failure, with only a few of its singles making it to the top 40 in any country.

However, it didn't stop Diddy from embarking on a tour to promote Bad Boy Records. The tour, aptly named the Bad Boy Family Reunion, has already sold out a number of dates and promises to be a big moneymaker for Diddy's Bad Boy label. The tour features a lineup of old-school hip-hop icons like Ma$e, Lil Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, Mario Winans, 112, Total and Carl Thomas. This should provide a healthy boost to the label's bottom line, especially with streaming services putting a bit more cash into artists' pockets.

Diddy Taps 90s Icons For Uber One's Super Bowl Commercial

Diddy tapped some '90s icons to create a super catchy jingle for Uber One's Super Bowl commercial. Montell Jordan, Donna Lewis, Kelis, Ylvis and Haddaway are all featured.

The rapper-mogul is also a savvy businessman, running a number of companies including CIROC Vodka and DeLeon Tequila as well as cable network Revolt TV. His latest TV spot promotes Uber One, which saves members on both rideshare and food delivery services.

Montell Jordan

Taking a page from Google's playbook, ridesharing and food delivery juggernaut Uber has upped its game in the customer service department. To that end, the company has commissioned an impressively sized advertising campaign that spans the gamut from big name celebrities to ad nippers. The aforementioned campaign is accompanied by a whopping number of bafflingly named branded vehicles. The aforementioned vehicle line includes one of the most enticing and elusive fleets, namely the gleaming red glimmer limo.

Kelis

In the latest musical ad from Uber One, Diddy tries to help the food delivery service come up with a song that will get people talking. He turns to his musician friends to provide the inspiration. The Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis -- who previously penned a novelty hit for him in 2013 -- get the job done, spoofing a few popular songs and playing to an audience that includes Diddy's own team of executives.

The clip also introduces Combs' rebranding of his companies as Combs Global, and promotes his Love Records, CIROC Vodka, and DeLeon Tequila brands. It's an effective way to show off the different sides of his empire, and his ad is likely to garner attention for its jingle-free take on the Big Game.

Kelis has had a long and varied career, serving up a mix of R&B, pop, hip hop, and dance music. Her 1999 debut album, Kaleidoscope, spawned the single "Caught Out There." She followed that up with 2003's Tasty, which featured her breakthrough hit “Milkshake.” Her 2006 album Kelis Was Here earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album.

While she's best known for her sexy 2000s R&B hits, Kelis also has a love for cooking. She holds a degree from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school and has hosted several television shows about cooking. She's even published a cookbook.

According to E! News, Beyonce's new album Renaissance features an interpolation of Kelis' hit single “Milkshake,” which was written by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, also known as The Neptunes. The interpolation is currently being removed from the album's streaming services, and Kelis has called out both Beyonce and Pharrell for not contacting her ahead of time.

She's calling it a “very passive aggressive move” and “no soul or integrity,” and her name is being deleted from the album credits. Beyonce hasn't publicly addressed the issue.

In addition to producing and writing, she has also performed on many of her own songs. Her 2003 hit "Caught Out There" was a Top 10 R&B hit, while her 2007 single "Bossy" reached double platinum status.

Donna Lewis

The rideshare and food delivery app rolled out the big guns in November of 2021 with the launch of their new 'Uber One' membership program. Besides saving you a mint on rides and Uber Eats, the perks of being an 'Uber One' holder include some very cool swag. The company opted to be different by creating a Super Bowl ad featuring a number of big names in the music business.

Among the star-spangled throng is Welsh pop singer Donna Lewis. She's best known for her 1996 hit "I Love You Always Forever" which was a Top 40 hit and the first of many accolades to come her way.

She's also made a name for herself as a composer and producer. She has penned songs for everyone from Madonna to Miley Cyrus and produced several major label albums for the likes of Kanye West, Eminem, and Jay Z. She also has an illustrious track record as a fashion guru and is known for her witty Twitter feed (see here). The most exciting part about this super-sized woman is that she's got a big heart. She recently announced that she's engaged to fellow musician Martin Harris and is looking forward to raising their family of three kids with her husband in the near future.

Ylvis

The next ad is from Uber One, which recently launched a new membership program called "Uber One." Ahead of the Super Bowl, the ridesharing and food delivery company teased a short video featuring Montell Jordan, Donna Lewis, Kelis, Ylvis, and Haddaway remixing their top songs.

It's a simple concept that works beautifully in this spot. Diddy, who is the founder of Bad Boy Records and a huge hitmaker, helps the rap superstar songwriter come up with a song that will sell more Uber One memberships. He then asks his musician friends to help him come up with a hook and lyrics for the song.

Ylvis, the Norwegian duo consisting of Bard and Vegard Ylvisaker, was born in Bergen and Africa but now lives in Oslo. They're a very popular comedy duo, having been featured on television shows like "I kveld med Ylvis" and "Norges herligste," as well as the radio show O-fag.

After performing in school choir and theatre, the brothers were spotted by impresario Peter Brandt, who helped them launch their career as professional variety artists. Their first gig was at the Ole Bull Teater in Bergen, and their show soon became popular all over Norway.

Their success led them to perform on TV and radio, and in 2008 they hosted a game show called Ylvis moter veggen ("Ylvis vs. The Wall"). In this game, two teams compete to see who can get through a series of holes in a wall and fall into a pool of freezing water.

They've since been touring Norway, performing in a variety of different venues. Their most popular performance was at the Ole Bull Theater in Bergen, where they were accompanied by an orchestra.

In addition to their show, the Ylvis brothers also host a talk show on TVNorge. They also regularly guest on comedian Trond Viggo Torgersen's entertainment show TVT, and they've made their mark in the Norway's Melodi Grand Prix.

Ylvis are probably best known for their hit song "What Does The Fox Say?" They're an extremely talented group that's gaining international fame. The video for their "Fox" parody is currently earning more than 6 million views on YouTube. But that's nothing compared to the massive success they've enjoyed so far in their home country.

But it’s not all glitz and glamour for the rapper-mogul, who is now facing a lawsuit filed by his former personal chef. She claims he summoned her to his bedroom to serve him and his sex partners food during or immediately after sex.

Sriracha-Maple Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches

Ethan Taylor, former personal chef to stars like Justin Bieber and Sean Combs (aka Diddy), has his favorite late night snack. Known for his fried chicken biscuit sandwiches, Taylor sat down with us in Los Angeles to share this easy recipe with us.

The sweet and spicy flavors of this sandwich are sure to please your guests. You'll love the sriracha hot sauce and maple syrup - they pair so well together! The sweet and savory combo makes for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner dish that's sure to impress.

To make the sandwich, start by topping a bottom bun with lemon garlic mayo and lettuce. Next, layer sliced chicken and then top the whole thing with a 3-ingredient maple sriracha sauce. This easy breakfast recipe is perfect for a family weekend or brunch with friends!

For the sriracha-maple chicken, mix together red pepper flakes, maple syrup and sriracha sauce. You can also use tabasco instead of the red pepper flakes if you're not a big fan of super spicy food.

When the chicken is cooked, place it in a large bowl and mix together with the maple sriracha glaze until it's completely coated and the chicken is completely warmed through. This ensures that it's not cold when you serve it on the pancakes.

In a third bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, potato starch, curry powder, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, cayenne, and granulated sugar until the batter is smooth. Dip each piece of chicken into the batter to cover it completely. Fry until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes per side.

If you're looking for a new breakfast recipe, these Sriracha-Maple Chicken Biscuit Sandwiches are definitely worth trying! You'll love the spicy and sweet flavor combinations, as well as how simple this recipe is to make!

Chicken Noodle Soup

Chicken Noodle Soup is the ultimate comfort food. It’s easy to make, packed with protein and loaded with healthy veggies. It’s also a great meal for the family, and a wonderful choice to warm up after a long day at work or school!

If you’re looking for a new way to serve this classic soup, try adding some fresh herbs to it for a delicious twist on the traditional recipe. Dried basil and oregano add a touch of southwestern flavor to this dish, while fresh thyme leaves give it a deep herby undertone.

You can also use a store-bought stock to make this recipe faster. But if you’re looking for something extra, I highly recommend using your own homemade chicken broth.

It will take you less time to make and the flavor will be more intense. Plus, you can add your favorite veggies to the stock to get a different kind of soup!

Once you have your homemade broth, it’s just a matter of adding the other ingredients. Then you can enjoy this hearty, filling and delicious soup any time of year!

If you want to really make this recipe pop, consider adding some milk or half-and-half. This will give it a velvety, creaminess that’s truly magical!

When you’re ready to serve your soup, ladle it into bowls and garnish with fresh chives. You can even provide saltine crackers or garlic bread on the side!

Freezing Instructions: You can freeze this soup for up to 3 months. Just reheat it on the stove before serving to bring out its flavors again!

This recipe makes a lot, so you may want to split it into separate containers. If you do, be sure to thaw the soup in the refrigerator before serving!

Then, you can simply heat up the leftovers in your Instant Pot (affiliate link) or a saucepan. You can also keep them in the freezer for up to three months and thaw out overnight before heating them up!

For the best results, I suggest making your soup in the slow cooker. This is the fastest way to cook this delicious recipe and it always turns out amazing.

Beef Tenderloin with Red Wine Sauce

A delicious, decadent and richly flavored red wine sauce is what really sets this beef tenderloin recipe apart. It's a true show stopper that's perfect for any special occasion!

This easy and delicious recipe was inspired by the acclaimed New York chef Eric Ripert. He's the author of the popular cookbook "Avec Eric."

Whether you are cooking for a dinner party or just an everyday night in, this recipe is sure to delight! It's also a great way to use up leftovers.

The first step in making this dish is to season the tenderloin all over with kosher salt and pepper. This helps the meat sear more evenly on all sides and seals in the juices as it roasts in the oven.

Heat up an oven-proof large skillet over medium high heat with oil; carefully place the tenderloin in the pan. Sear the beef, turning occasionally, until it has a deep golden brown all over, about 10 minutes.

Transfer the beef to a cutting board and tent with foil. Allow it to rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

While the tenderloin is roasting, make a rich and flavorful red wine sauce by simmering shallots in a pan until softened. Stir in red wine and broth, then add fresh thyme. Once the sauce has reduced, slowly whisk in butter until emulsified.

This red wine sauce is simple to make and is a great accompaniment for roasted beef tenderloin. It's also a fantastic way to use up any leftover sauce from the beef tenderloin!

You can make this recipe in advance if you like. The tenderloin can be chilled overnight, and the sauce can be made a day or two ahead of time.

If you don't have a lot of time to prepare your meal, you can order your roast and sauce from your favorite butcher. They can even tie the tenderloin for you!

Then all you have to do is pop it into the oven and enjoy. You'll be so glad you did!

The best thing about this dish is that it only takes a few minutes to prep and then it's ready to cook. The sauce can also be made the day before and then simply reheated when it's ready to serve.

Eggplant Parmesan

Eggplant Parmesan is a comforting layered casserole similar to lasagna, only it's made with breaded and fried eggplant slices. It's a family favorite and one that you're sure to love.

To prepare the recipe, peel and slice eggplants into 1/4-inch-thick rounds (you should get 16 to 18 rounds from one eggplant). Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 30 minutes or so to absorb bitterness and dry out the eggplant. Rinse, pat dry, and set on a wire rack over a baking sheet to dry further.

While the eggplant is sitting, set up a dredging station with three small bowls: flour in one, eggs in another, and panko breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese in the third. Dredge eggplant slices in the flour, then dip them in the eggs, and finally coat them with the panko mixture. Repeat with the remaining eggplant.

Layer the casserole: Spread about 3/4 cup of the sauce in an 8x8-inch baking dish and arrange about one-third of the eggplant slices over the sauce, overlapping slightly (cut them to fit, if necessary). Pour another 3/4 cup of the sauce over the eggplant, then top with half of the mozzarella cheese and any remaining sauce.

Bake until the eggplant is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 35 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.

Make ahead: The eggplant can be salted and rinsed the night before and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Assemble the casserole when ready to bake.

To assemble, spoon about 3/4 cup of the sauce in an 8x8-inch ovenproof baking dish and arrange about one-third of eggplant slices over it. Spoon another 3/4 cup of the sauce over the eggplant, and then top with half of the mozzarella cheese and all of the Parmesan cheese.

The dish can be baked right away or stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze it for up to three months. Just be aware that the quality of frozen eggplant Parmesan will decline over time.

Fetty Wap Married to 2023 Year Old Leandra Gonzalez

Fetty Wap, the 'Trap Queen' rapper, has officially tied the knot with his new boo Leandra Gonzalez. The couple confirmed their nuptials on Instagram with photos of the pair sharing "I do" vibes.

The couple got married in Toronto last August. However, the marriage has hit some rocky waters since then.

Leandra Gonzalez

Leandra Gonzalez is a model and business owner who married rapper Fetty Wap in August 2019. The pair exchanged vows in a private ceremony on August 3, as per TMZ.

They are currently living a low-key life and enjoying their free time with each other. The couple has a daughter together.

She has a beautiful body figure and a gorgeous set of brown eyes. She is 5 feet tall and weighs 55 kilos.

The rapper allegedly cheated on her and beat her up during their marriage. However, he is denying all the allegations that his estranged wife made against him.

During their failed marriage, the two have been very open about their problems with each other. They haven’t held back from criticizing each other in public and have even taken their fight to social media.

In March, she filed for divorce citing adultery as the reason for their separation. She claims that she was physically abused by her husband after just a month of marriage and that he had been cheating on her with several women. Moreover, she claims that he was even in the Bahamas with another woman on New Year’s Eve.

After the divorce settlement was finalized, she filed a legal paperwork to ask a judge for the $60k engagement ring that Fetty gave her during their wedding. She wants it now or else!

She says that she is ready to live a normal life now and away from all the trouble that her husband has caused her. She also stated that she is no longer afraid of putting her life in danger to protect her daughter.

Although her divorce was messy, she has a strong will and she is determined to win this battle. She also said that she will not go through this again unless her ex-husband does something to make it right.

Her husband is a famous rapper and she has many fans who love his music. She is a model and has a great net worth.

In the same post, he dedicated his Rolling Loud performance to her last month, saying: "LoLo daddy did that s-t for you last night baby girl."

Despite all the love he receives from fans, he has also received some hateful comments online. Especially after the news of his 4-year-old daughter Lauren's death hit the internet, people were quick to express their disbelief in the news.

It is unclear why the songwriter's daughter died, but reports suggest she suffered from a fatal cardiac arrhythmia due to complications of congenital heart anomalies. She had been suffering from the health issue since birth and was only four years old when she passed away.

In the aftermath of Lauren's passing, TMZ revealed that she died on June 24 in Riverdale, Georgia. The publication said that the cause of her death is unknown but she had been suffering from the heart disease for a long time.

According to the death certificate, Lauren's mother Turquoise Miami, a former girlfriend of Fetty Wap, confirmed that her daughter passed away. She added that she had been taking care of her and was trying to find a new home for her.

The rapper's wife, Leandra Gonzalez, is not the best person to be around when she's dealing with the trauma of losing a loved one. Earlier this month, photos of the rapper and his new wife appeared online. She was wearing a body-hugging white dress while he wore a black suit.

He and his wife have a daughter together, Monty, who is born in 2023. They were also spotted celebrating what appears to be a wedding ceremony.

When it comes to music, there's no stopping this New Jersey-based rapper, whose name is Willie Maxwell II. He's known for his anthem, "Trap Queen," which hit the Top Ten in 2014.

The New Jersey-born rapper says he is not looking to be famous for money but to use it as a platform for improving his community. His goal is to help his hometown in Paterson, New Jersey.

He grew up in a housing project and is proud of his humble background, describing it as a "hard life." His music is an extension of his hard work and determination to get ahead.

Although he's been arrested on multiple occasions and faces up to 40 years in prison, he's still got a strong fanbase who are loyal to his brand of rap. In addition to his solo music, he has also helped introduce a few up-and-coming rappers through his Remy Boyz 1738 crew.

As a result, his net worth is currently around $10 million. He is a talented artist who has been featured in Billboard and Complex, among other publications.

In August 2019, he pleaded guilty to a drug conspiracy charge that carries a mandatory minimum of five years in prison. Despite his plea, he will have to wait for his sentencing date to be set.

His probation department asked Judge Joanna Seybert to postpone the hearing on Wednesday (January 4). Luckily for him, the court has decided to delay it.
