FutureStarrArtist Profile - #EzraMiller
Ezra Miller is a visual artist whose work is both challenging and inspiring. His pieces consist of generative art, visual compositions, and interactive pieces that offer more of an immersive experience than one might expect from electronic music.
Miller has made headlines recently for his acting and has been accused of stealing music from two musicians and releasing it without their approval or credit.
Ezra Miller is an artist and entrepreneur whose talents span multiple digital disciplines, such as real-time generative art, interactive websites, live performances, and immersive experiences. He's renowned for his collaborations with electronic musicians as an art director, web developer, and VJ.
He began his career as a singer, using his musical talent in numerous commercial projects. Subsequently, he transitioned into film work and has appeared in several films such as Afterschool (2008) and City Island (2009).
Growing up, Miller developed an interest in technology and became fascinated with cell-phone footage. He created a video tribute for twins who passed away at a boarding school that he described as both an incredibly strange experience and great filmmaking opportunity.
Miller began acting when she was seventeen, and soon achieved success in their debut feature film Afterschool which premiered at Cannes in 2008. In it, they played Robert, an internet-addicted loner who collects cell-phone footage for entertainment purposes.
They then went on to star in several other movies, such as Wallflower (2017) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016). Additionally, they will star in the upcoming DC superhero film The Flash which will hit theaters in 2023.
Miller was still in the spotlight, yet they faced a barrage of allegations from those involved with them or whom they had come into contact with. Their behavior had often been unpredictable and aggressive, especially when dealing with those who had become followers of their work.
In 2020, they faced a serious allegation when a woman trying to ask them a question was assaulted at a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. The attack was captured on camera and prompted many people to contact police for assistance.
In light of this latest accusation, Miller has issued a statement through their representative apologizing for any rumors and offering an apology to those affected by their previous behaviors. They also pledged to seek help and return to a "healthy, safe, and productive" stage in their life.
Generative art is an artistic practice that involves manipulating systems to produce something random and unique. This encompasses generative music, architecture, poetry, and visual artwork. Generative artists typically manipulate randomness' magnitude and locations within their works in order to produce artwork which cannot be easily reproduced.
Generative artworks often draw inspiration from systems beyond human control, like the weather. By studying natural systems, we can observe how the balance of power between rule setter and follower can create captivating results.
For instance, we can observe light dappling through trees, water bubbling in a pan, birds chirping or ice forming on windshields. We might also witness an army of bees buzzing around or the motion of a hand drawing on paper.
In generative art, the balance of control between a rule setter and participant, such as a computer or individual, can be seen. This often leads to captivating results in the artist's work - such as Ezra Miller's piece which uses different rules to produce unique shapes in his artwork.
Generative artists who create compelling artwork often educate their audiences on the process of creation. This can be accomplished through videos, blogs or even GitHub repositories.
Generative Art is still relatively young, yet its potential and growing acceptance among both artists and coders are impressive. This shows that this artform has the potential to remain vibrant for years to come.
Katharina Brunner is one of the most beloved and inspiring generative artists. Her GitHub repository on Generative Art serves as an excellent resource for those just starting out with this medium.
She maintains an active Twitter account where she discusses her work and keeps followers up to date on the progress of her projects. You can also follow her on Instagram.
In addition to her coding abilities, she has an artistic background and has been creating digital artwork for several years. Her work often draws inspiration from nature and her desire to push the boundaries of what it means to be an artist in today's digital age.
Visual Composer is a website building tool that gives web designers an intuitive drag-and-drop interface for designing websites. It supports WordPress, the popular content management system (CMS) for developing and running websites. The tool offers professional-grade templates for designing web pages as well as pre-made elements, blocks and addons for quick use.
Visual Composer Hub offers an accessible directory of downloadable elements, templates and stock images. Plus, its Premium licenses come with access to dedicated customer support teams.
Its free version is ideal for beginners and small businesses alike, offering hundreds of designer-made templates, elements, and stock images. Plus, it's SEO friendly with a frontend editor that lets you preview how your site will appear before it goes live.
The plugin is ideal for agencies and freelancers who require a straightforward and dependable way to create and update websites quickly. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to use and have some issues with responsive design or typography.
Many developers rely on Visual Composer to design and enhance their clients' websites. With it, they can easily create an opt-in form, integrate a video player, or even include a newsletter subscription box.
Visual Composer is an effective tool for designing basic website designs, but its code can become bloated if used extensively and may slow down your site's load time. Furthermore, it could interfere with other tools like CRM or payment gateway development.
Ezra Miller uses Visual Composer to craft dynamic images that are activated by music. His live performances combine distorted electronic club beats with captivating visuals.
Miller recently collaborated with music producer Objekt, also known as TJ Hertz. Their show brought together sonic distortions and captivating visuals to depict the tension between nature and technology.
Miller's generative artwork is an expression of his artistic process, fusing machine learning and coding with digital technology. The works he creates draw inspiration from both mathematics and art disciplines.
Interactive art is an art form that incorporates technology into the creation of a piece. This could range from an interactive website to live performances with electronic musicians. Generally, this artwork is coded, allowing the artist to construct complex and intricate designs without actually crafting physical objects.
Generative art, or real-time artwork, is the result of this process. An artist uses algorithms to select elements and colors for their masterpiece and then codes them accordingly to produce that visual.
The most widely-used tool to create this type of art is Adobe Flash, but there are other options as well. For instance, artists can utilize OpenGL API and WebGL to create interactive artwork - especially useful when working with large-scale images like those produced by video games or movies.
Another option for creating interactive art is building a virtual reality headset. These devices, similar to wearable computers, allow you to experience an entire art installation from any location. The most successful VR headsets have low costs and are highly portable - perfect for using with an iPad or other tablet device.
Companies are taking advantage of this technology to create novel, creative products. One company, for instance, is offering a virtual reality game that uses artificial intelligence for an immersive experience - available free on the App Store.
Other technologies include computer-controlled lasers and kinetic sculptures. Some of the most impressive interactive art displays incorporate these components together, such as Tundra's "Outlines," which uses 400 single diode red lasers to project light onto various surfaces and angles; or Sinjin Hawke and Zora Jones' Unction, which utilizes Microsoft Kinect and Hololens for an engaging interactive experience that is both enjoyable to play with and visually stimulating art piece.
