FutureStarrA Oprah Winfrey Prince Harry Meghan Markle
Oprah Winfrey, the world’s first black female billionaire, and Prince Harry, the brother of the current prince, have reportedly been dating for years. The two were first photographed together in Mexico City in late 2011, and the relationship has reportedly been exclusive for nearly 4 years.
Filmed in Santa Barbara County, California, the interview came the year after Prince Harry and Meghan announced their decision to step down as working members of the British royal family in January 2020. The interview included discussion of their courtship, wedding, their second child's gender (female), mental health struggles including Meghan's suicidal thoughts, and a shared sense of abandonment in terms of emotional and financial support. Moreover, Meghan critiqued the British monarchy as an institution, while they both said one or more comments had been made privately to Harry by an unidentified individual within the royal family in relation to the skin color of their then unborn son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. Also discussed was a royal title for Archie, the personal security of the couple, and Harry's estrangement from his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William. Meghan's own relationship with her estranged family was also briefly touched upon.
Knauf decided to come forward in July and to share emails and texts he received from Meghan, according to the Times. He had wanted to stay “neutral” in Meghan’s court case, but that position reportedly changed after the duchess won her summary judgement, and she and Harry talked to Winfrey. Knauf also is the former aide who wrote an internal complaint in 2018 that alleged that Meghan bullied members of her staff. He currently works for Prince William and Kate as chief executive of their foundation. (Source: www.mercurynews.com)
For the next two hours, she and her husband Prince Harry opened up about her reported “feud” with Kate Middleton, about her own mental health, and about race and the royal family. For the duchess, it was about time for her side of the story. “I don’t know how they could expect that, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us,” she said, using a term for the business side of the monarchy.
The interview, the couple’s first since they stepped back from their royal duties, was billed as “Oprah with Meghan and Harry,” but it was Meghan who had the most significant story to tell. And understandably so, because for the past three years, she’s been the target of incessant negative press coverage. (Source: www.vogue.com)
