A Ms Pat

A Ms Pat

Ms Pat:

Ms Pat is the CEO of a top performing music retailer. She gave me the ultimate impromptu resume review. I didn't have to buy her a drink to get her to talk to me—I was lucky enough to find her at a networking event one night. It's universal, but I will never forget her advice that I would later need.

Mom

With a comedy career now spilling over 15 years this powerful woman brings an honest, in your face, and hilarious perspective to her shows. She has appeared on TV Guide Network’s “Standup in Stilettos”, and Nickelodeons “Mom’s Night Out”. She is a regular guest on the syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show, and appeared on Katt Williams DVD “Kattpacalypse”. In January of 2015 she appeared on Comedy Central’s “This is Not Happening” and NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, and in July of 2016 Ms. Pat performed at the Montreal Comedy Festival appearing in Kevin Hart’s “LOL”, and Jeff Ross “Roast Battle” for Comedy Central.

This July, Pat’s multi-cam sitcom The Ms. Pat Show will premiere on BET+. Hollywood legends Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment are producing the series along with powerhouse producer Lee Daniels. Based on her own life, the show tells the story of a former convicted felon turned suburban mom (Ms. Pat), whose hustle and resilient spirit was forged on the streets of Atlanta. To much reserve, she and her family now find themselves in conservative middle America. Iconic TV producer Norman Lear loved the pilot episode so much that he reached out to Pat personally to meet with her. (Source: improv.com)

Time

This is the worse, degrading, humiliating show I have seen in a long time. BET should be ashamed to air such a disgraceful show. The unnecessary cursing of and at each other as if this is normal talk in the black family. The reckless and again unnecessary use of the N-word was pointless and added no value. Calling this "adult" tv insinuates that that Adults speak and fight like this in everyday.. Really BET??? While some may say this is just comedy, true comedy has content is strong enough to stand along without the vulgarity and still be funny. I am disappointed in BET. I have and will continue to shared with all my friend & family that this show is belittling trash that need to be thrown in the alley where it belongs. BET needs to do better by calling themselves Black Entertainment Television because people are watching and we do not want this art to imitate life. We have enough people degrading us without providing ammunition and yet another platform to do it on and with.

The Ms. Pat Show is the funniest show I have seen in a very long time! I laughed--HARD--from the first episode to the last! The cast is funny! Ms. Pat is hilarious and real and she says whatever is on her mind, even if she gets in trouble for it. Tami Roman is a gem in this show that I was NOT expecting! I would love to see more of her in a comedic form. The actors who played the husband and kids were great. I even love how Ms. Pat makes the show explicitly hers by doing a comedy bit at the beginning of each episode. All in all, I am in love with this show. I hate that there are only 10 episodes, but I sincerely hope they come back for another season! (Source: www.amazon.com)
