Today I was bored, so I asked my phone's calculator how many decimal points were in 1/4. The answer? 0. 4. Yay for phones that do math!

Calculating numbers that contain fractions can be tricky, even when you’re using a calculator. You may be able to write a fraction on a calculator using the fraction button. If your calculator doesn’t have this feature, use an online calculator if you’re allowed to do so. As another option, you might turn the fraction into a decimal or turn the fraction ipercent{"smallUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikihow.com\/images\/thumb\/6\/6e\/Write-Fractions-on-a-Calculator-Step-4.jpg\/v4-460px-Write-Fractions-on-a-Calculator-Step-4.jpg","bigUrl":"\/images\/thumb\/6\/6e\/Write-Fractions-on-a-Calculator-Step-4.jpg\/aid11506348-v4-728px-Write-Fractions-on-a-Calculator-Step-4.jpg","smallWidth":460,"smallHeight":345,"bigWidth":728,"bigHeight":546,"licensing":"\u00a9 2022 wikiHow, Inc. Google has finally pushed an update where when you are calculating on its official calculator app the results would now automatically be shwon in decimal and now in fraction also. There were few times when you had to calculate from some equations but the answers you used to get were absurd and might be having unlimited or repeating decimals. So, it was difficult to use the derived answer to use it somewhere else as it wont be that much accurate , but with fractions as option you can use that fraction format to use it in other calculations. Enter numbers and mathematical symbols on the keypad as part of your equation. Use the “1/x” key to create fractions in which one is the top number, such as 1/4 or 1/2. For instance, if you want to enter 1/4 as part of your equation, type “1,” followed by “1/x” and “4” (omit quotation marks here and in subsequent typed commands).

This calculator application is terrific. I enjoy this app because the calculator I have been using lately only gets basic mathematics done. Not only that but to use anything other that’s the basic calculator it costs a monthly payment and because I don’t use the calculator that often it would be a waste of money. With the slightest touch on my old calculator it would pop up saying you need to pay to use the fractions and other features it has on it and the fact that this is completely free makes my work time go by faster and I would REALLY RECOMMEND THIS TO STUDENTS AND ADULTS that need a calculator for fractions. Overall I feel that this application is a very helpful and worth the storage space on your device. (Source: apps.apple.com)
