# Calculator to 20 Decimal Places

A calculator to as many decimal places as you want! Please keep in mind that since this calculator can't round decimals, all calculations will be accurate, but this calculator won't throw any warning about rounding decimals. A lot more features when you use the T-shirt and spoon.

### Place

Most scientific and graphing calculators can only display possibly up to 10 decimal places of accuracy. While this is enough in most instances of everyday use, it can be fairly limiting for applications where higher standards of accuracy are necessary. Hence the existence of big number calculators such as the one above, that can provide far higher levels of accuracy. Big numbers are more likely to be used in fields such as cosmology, astronomy, mathematics, cryptography, and statistical mechanics.

Normal 2 (Norm 2) mode uses scientific notation for any number less than 0.000000001 but greater than −0.000000001, but otherwise displays answers to however many decimal places they have, subject to the maximum that will fit on the display. This mode is entered using (Source: www.open.edu)

#### Round

Note that this is not the same as rounding to a specific number of decimal places. For example, 22 divided by 15 = 1.466 when calculated to 3 decimal places because you stop once you reach the third decimal place. On the other hand, 22 divided by 15 = 1.467 when rounded to 3 decimal places. In order to round to the third decimal place you must calculate to at least the fourth decimal place so that you know how to round the third decimal place. See our Rounding Numbers Calculator for more information. e has plenty of names in mathematics. We may know it as Euler's number or the natural number. Its value is equal to 2.7182818284590452353602... and counting! (This is where rounding and approximation become essential.) 🧮

If your calculator doesn't allow symbols, simply enter 2.718281828 (or any rounded form of this number) into your choice value box 👍Significant figures are all numbers that add to the meaning of the overall value of the number. To prevent repeating figures that aren't significant, numbers are often rounded. One must be careful not to lose precision when rounding. Many times the goal of rounding numbers is just to simplify them. Use the rounding calculator to assist with such problems. (Source: www.omnicalculator.com)
