Work

Calculators are not just for math problems. What are the benefits of having a calculator everywhere you go?

This is a simple basic calculator with memory functions similar to a small handheld calculator. Use this basic calculator for math with addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Memory and clear functions for this standard calculator are listed below. (Source: www.calculatorsoup.com)

Use

The calculator has three arithmetic operations. It can perform addition, subtraction, and division, and it has functions for moving the decimal point, changing the sign, and rounding the result of a calculation.

I absolutely love this app, since use it for school and it is just very simple to use while also being able to use more complex equations! My only problem is the fact that I have to pay a monthly fee just to use other calculator features that are on normal calculators is just ridiculous! I understand that you guys want to make money, but do you really, like really need to make people pay a monthly fee just to be able to calculate fractions! I would be absolutely fine if it was a one time fee, but why a monthly fee!? This is one of the top most downloaded calculator apps on the App Store if not the best one, not to mention the little adds at the bottom (not distracting at all) that you make money off of adds which shows you already make quite a bit of money off of more than half a million user, yet you have to go even farther to make me pay for a monthly fee for features in every ordinary high school level calculator! I would rather have to pay 5-7 dollars once for all of the other features instead of being fed off of for multiple years to come of using this app. I would rate this app 5 stars right off the bat if it got rid of the monthly charge and maybe even replaced it with a one time fee. Please address this concern, and thank you so much for your time. (Source: apps.apple.com)

The calculator was developed by the astronomer, physicist and mathematician, Edward Crelle, around 1885. Crelle moved from Paris to Vienna in 1871 and realized that there were no accurate and easy-to-use mathematical formulas for rapid computation. These formulas were essential for his work in astronomy and physics. By 1873, Crelle had developed and patented the first prototype of the mathematics calculator with some variations of the workings of the device by 1884.

Everyone knows his age, but the this calculator is not less than fun. It tells you your age in Years, Months, Weeks, Minutes and Seconds as well. (Source: calculator-online.net)

Calculate

Word problems are a recurring and natural part of the educational process. The best way to help students understand and remember topics or concepts is to help them develop a strategy and then work through a practice question or two. Help students understand that a calculator is one of their best tools to use when they get a word problem. Help them understand how to use a calculator and the different calculations that it can perform.
