The calculator is one of the most helpful and ubiquitous tools in the global human knowledge base. It helps people out in their day to day lives. And it helps people understand, even if they aren’t actually working in mathematics.

Number

The calculator memory is at 0 until you hit m+ or m-. Each time you hit m+ the number on the display is added to the number in the calculator memory. Each time you hit m- the number on the display is subtracted from the number in the calculator memory. To recall the number in the calculator memory hit mr. To zero out the memory hit mc. The purpose of rounding is to make a number easier to work with. The problem is that by rounding you lose some accuracy. To make sure you lose as little accuracy as possible, you should choose the number which is closest to the original (unrounded) one. Take the number 7.1 as an example. To round it to the nearest whole, you'd simply choose 7 because 7 is closer to 7.1 than 8 is.

I needed to add a series of 25 prices and had to do it in terms of "add xx.xx to the answer" 25 times - each time it repeated back the addition operation and then the answer - extremely time consuming. When I asked "what it the answer?" at the end it read out the entire list of 25 numbers - again, extremely time consuming - and then it garbled the sum! After going through this charade twice I asked "add zero to the answer" and got the sum that I needed. Should not have to go through this trick! The calculator works, but it will only accept 2 numbers and an equasion. it does not understand adding up a series of numbers. Developers should keep in mind that this kind of skill will be used most for somple things like balancing a checkbook or adding up grocery reciepts. Not by a nasa engineer. with a focus on complexity rather than simplicity it will go unused. (Source: www.amazon.com)

I absolutely love this app, since use it for school and it is just very simple to use while also being able to use more complex equations! My only problem is the fact that I have to pay a monthly fee just to use other calculator features that are on normal calculators is just ridiculous! I understand that you guys want to make money, but do you really, like really need to make people pay a monthly fee just to be able to calculate fractions! I would be absolutely fine if it was a one time fee, but why a monthly fee!? This is one of the top most downloaded calculator apps on the App Store if not the best one, not to mention the little adds at the bottom (not distracting at all) that you make money off of adds which shows you already make quite a bit of money off of more than half a million user, yet you have to go even farther to make me pay for a monthly fee for features in every ordinary high school level calculator! I would rather have to pay 5-7 dollars once for all of the other features instead of being fed off of for multiple years to come of using this app. I would rate this app 5 stars right off the bat if it got rid of the monthly charge and maybe even replaced it with a one time fee. Please address this concern, and thank you so much for your time.

I’ve been using this app for YEAAAARS.. it’s been so long I honestly can’t even remember how long it’s actually been. I use the calculator a fair amount of times but it’s not a super frequent occurrence and originally I wanted this calculator because the Apple calculator wouldn’t let me delete a typo without deleting the entire calculation and this also tracks calculation history. Anyway, I paid for the $2.99 ad free upgrade a few years ago and everything has been fine up until a few months ago I randomly had a $2.99 credit on my Apple account. At first I had no idea where it came from UNTIL I went to use the calculator and an annoying ad covered the entire screen. Apparently they changed things and instead of a one time $2.99 charge they want $1.49/mo to use the calculator ad free. The little ads at the bottom aren’t bad but the thing that makes it unbearable and the reason why I’m deleting the app after at the very least 5 years is the ads that popup while I’m in the middle if typing which ultimately lead to me clicking on the ad and opening up safari or app store. I don’t like the fact I’m forced to open unwanted ads to god knows what. I don’t want that on my phone. Such a shame. I might have failed math in high school but this calculator is not that important to me to have to deal click on ads because they pop up while I’m typing. (Source: apps.apple.com)

I greatly appreciate the accuracy and flexibility of this calculator. It's very nice that I can use variables and nest functions, and the functions never seem to completely "zero out" due to a failure of precision like most calculators that are available for calculating hyperbolic trig functions. Especially since I am working with special relativity, where almost every single "daily life"-scale velocity is unbelievably small compared to the speed of light, so I am usually working with fractions on the order of a few billionths or smaller. This is a simple basic calculator with memory functions similar to a small handheld calculator. Use this basic calculator for math with addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Memory and clear functions for this standard calculator are listed below. Solve any math problem, do your taxes and returns with a basic, scientific, and fraction calc. Or swap to the currency converter to calculate a foreign currency purchase. Use it at work or at school on your iPhone plus iPad. (Source: apps.apple.com)
