Restaurant Depot

When seeking a new restaurant, it’s easy to find reviews and articles written by people who love the food they serve. Restaurant Depot is different. We provide restaurant distribution and planning to restaurants across the United States, Canada and Japan. Our clients are able to get in and serve top-quality food in the most efficient and effective way possible, which also means they get great reviews. With that in mind, our blog is five times a week, published in-between work hours.

Depot

Restaurant Depot is a wholesale cash-and-carry food service supplier. This business opened in 1990. After 1995, it was acquired by Nathan Kirsh and is now owned by Jetro Holdings, which also owns Jetro Cash & Carry. As sister companies, Restaurant Depot and Jetro Cash & Carry operate with the same business model. They both help businesses purchase supplies in bulk for less. By eliminating the overhead costs of product advertising and delivery fees, customers maximize savings by shopping at Restaurant Depot.

When you shop at this wholesale cash-and-carry supplier, you'll find almost anything you might need to keep your business supplied and your inventory stocked. Food items available at Restaurant Depot include fresh produce, fresh meat and seafood, frozen items, bread products, canned goods, dairy products, baking supplies, beverages, and international grocery items. You can also find supplies for cleaning or food storage, kitchen utensils, laundry products, first aid items, and more. Restaurant Depot offers all the products you may need from various brands, so you can find what you're looking for from the brands you love. (Source: www.instacart.com)

Food

Everything! This company has no clue how to be efficient. To top heavy in corporate and have no consideration for it’s true work force. Expect your life to work around the “business”. Pay is crap, benefits are a joke (good luck finding a doctor that’s takes this crap) and the cost of your insurance is determined by how much you make. How much you make is determined by your gender, race, and appearance. You WILL become over worked, drained mentally and physically, develop BAD trust issues, hurt on the job and expected to keep quiet about it while working through it ( unless you hurt or a customer with power equipment then it’s still your fault), expected to make miracles with extremely outdated technology/ equipment/ and business model. Upper management doesn’t care for they call excuses but in all actuality is REALITY and will find ANY reason to fire you, blame you, or question your sanity. I wouldn’t even be work there if I didn’t have bills. I DONT EVEN EAT IN THE RESTAURANTS WE SELL TO! Money is their number goal. Not food safety ( although they will say that) not employees safety and not even customer safety! I wouldn’t even want slaughter house animals to walk in any of these buildings. ITS BEYOND DISGUSTING 🤢 !

Last spring, Restaurant Depot locations across the nation opened up their doors to the public for the first time. While normally membership cards and shopping privileges are exclusive to owners of restaurants, caterers, and foodservice distributors, the pandemic prompted the company to allow everyday citizens to wander their packed aisles. Full to the ceiling with bulk buys of almost every food imaginable, it's a panic-buying foodie's dream. (Source: www.allrecipes.com)
