When I have a hungry family to feed, I break out an old fashioned cass
erole. Hearty casseroles are designed for that kind of work! Potlucks, large family gatherings… whatever your need, a casserole will be there for you. This recipe for Million Dollar Spaghetti is one of my all time favorite casseroles. It’s basically an easy combination of baked spaghetti and lasagna. (I know, it sounds delicious doesn’t it?)
This million dollar spaghetti casserole is tender pasta tossed in a hearty meat sauce, then layered with four types of cheese and baked to golden brown perfection. A comfort food classic that’s perfect for feeding a crowd! (Source: www.dinneratthezoo.com)
Million dollar spaghetti is a mash up between lasagna and spaghetti with layers of pasta, ground beef, and creamy cheese topped with gooey Mozzarella. It's so easy to make and it feeds a crowd - great for potlucks.
Million Dollar Spaghetti is a recipe that has been floating around for many years, but one that I had not dared to try! Silly me. It’s loaded with creamy deliciousness and charm and I’m sure will make it to our table many times in the future. If you are looking for a simpler version, try my Spaghetti Recipe or Spaghetti Carbonara! (Source: iamhomesteader.com)
Baked Million Dollar Spaghetti is a hit in our house every time we make it and it isn’t hard to see why. With melted cheese, cream cheese, meat and homemade marinara sauce, and perfect as a make ahead meal you can freeze, this dish is a perfect meal in a pan and even better served with a nice side salad.

How to StorePasta lasts in the fridge for about 3-5 days. Store it in an airtight container. When it is time to serve it, you can reheat it in a microwave or in an oven
Cottage cheese is a curd cheese with a smooth texture. It is a healthy option packed with protein, too. Creamy and tasty ingredient to your amazing flavorful spaghetti. Recently, I added this type of cottage cheese to my breakfast, scrambled eggs, dipping sauces. The taste is so good that I became addicted!
Salads are a great accompaniment to million dollar spaghetti. They are a cool and crisp contrast to the rich and hearty pasta. I like to serve panzanella salad or a light and refreshing cucumber salad with spaghetti. I also like to have garlic or cheesy bread with spaghetti. Some of my favorites are garlic knots and cheesy pull apart bread. (Source: www.dinneratthezoo.com)
When I am making a pan to freeze I do a few easy things. First I start with a foil casserole pan, these are cheap and mean that if I am gifting this to someone they do not have to worry about returning a dish to me. Next, I follow the recipe up until the point of baking. At the point, I cover it with foil and label and date it. Place in the freezer for up to 3 months. If you are gifting this here are the thawing instructions: Remove a day ahead of time and place in the refrigerator to come to room temperature. If you don’t have time to thaw in the refrigerator, you can place it directly in the oven, but it will cook for 55-65 minutes. I still recommend removing the foil towards the end so that the cheese can melt completely. Easy peasy!
