Five months ago Kfc Restart Kitchen, a fast casual restaurant, decided to make a huge change — stop promoting its chicken. They took chicken off the menu, leaving only plant-based dishes, in order to contribute to the growing trend and increase sales. The response from customers was overwhelming and from June to December, sales increased by 45%. Today, the Atlanta location is a third of its size in 2017, and they now serve more than 5,000 meals a day.

KFC Georgie Gold Chicken is fried chicken pieces that are coated with a mustard bbq sauce and then topped with dill pickle slices. The chicken is coated with a flour and spice mixture and then deep fried until golden brown and crispy. The mustard bbq sauce is prepared in a bowl and gets a lot of flavor from ingredients such as mustard, molasses, honey, and vinegar. I like to use boneless chicken pieces instead of bone-in chicken pieces. Enjoy.

ever since KFC came out with the Georgia Gold sauce for their chicken, I would order it every time I went (1-2 times a week) I went about a week ago and it said out of stock, when I questioned when it would be back in stock, they said that it had been discontinued and they only had Nashville hot (i know people like it, but I don't like spicy foods) so is it true that they discontinued it? I cant seem to find anything online about this. (Source: www.reddit.com)

A few factors could help Georgia Gold avoid some of the negative attention Hot Chicken received. First, honey-mustard barbecue flavoring is already more widespread than Nashville Hot — you can buy Carolina Gold BBQ sauce at Trader Joe's. Second, KFC has created the term Georgia Gold, drawing inspiration from a number of different local barbecue joints.

KFC Georgia Gold comes with a new king of fried chicken. Actor and producer Billy Zane, best-known for his roles as tycoon Cal Hockley in Titanic and most recently as Stan Gutterie on ABC’s summer smash hit, Guilt, will appear as the Georgia Gold Colonel in the brand’s latest ad campaign starting January 29. For the specialty role, KFC sought out an established actor who knows you don’t have to be a millionaire to eat like one. “Just like KFC’s Georgia Gold, I’m sophisticated, classy and gold. Yes, you read that right. I’ve undergone extensive gold plating in support of this new offering from KFC. Totally worth it,” says Billy Zane, the Georgia Gold Colonel.
