The cartoon has been featured on numerous television specials and even got its own animated series, but the mainstay remains the comic strip itself.

Many find the strip's focus on simplicity endearing, while others have found it somewhat predictable and unimaginative. Indeed, the cartoon has faced plenty of criticism throughout its existence.

Garfield has managed to remain popular despite his lazy ways for decades. His sarcasm and insufferable attitude make him one of the most beloved comic strip characters ever created.

Tamagotchi

If you're a fan of classic video games, Tamagotchi - those egg-shaped electronic pets available at McDonald's in the 1990s - may come to mind. Kids loved taking these blob-like creatures anywhere and would play with them to form relationships.

Tamagotchis were unique among other toys of their era in that they weren't designed with gendered stereotypes in mind. According to Bloch and Lemish, they lack a particular male or female face; instead, they're non-aggressive, nurturing, and friendly - an unexpected change from many computer games and television shows of that era.

Tamagotchi are famous for their ability to grow into adulthood if properly cared for. This involves feeding them, playing with them and keeping them clean. Unfortunately, if neglected too long, however, they will succumb - an unpleasant outcome.

Tamagotchi have an additional unique feature - they have a family tree! Each Tamagotchi has its own parent and child figures, plus you can even marry them!

Tamagotchis can be bred if desired, giving them a distinctive appearance. However, keep in mind that only one pet at a time is allowed.

Tamagotchi's initial versions were egg-shaped, but over the years they've come in various shapes and colors. Each has its own unique features that make them compatible with smartphones.

Furthermore, some of them offer the feature to pause the game. This means they can be left off for a short period of time but you won't be able to play with them while paused.

Tamagotchis remain popular with children and teenagers despite all of the controversy that surrounds them. If you're searching for a new toy, the North American version of Tamagotchi may be worth checking out!

On the 20th anniversary of McDonald's original Happy Meal, McDonald's is giving you a chance to relive your childhood with Tamagotchi as part of a Surprise Happy Meal! These limited-edition toys can be found in stores nationwide until November 11!

Andrew Garfield, Doctor Who

Andrew Garfield has achieved fame as Spider-Man, but before he achieved international stardom he was once part of Doctor Who?

Many actors must first appear in TV shows or films before they can achieve fame. While this is a common practice, it also comes with some unexpected benefits.

The Social Network

In 2010, Andrew Garfield doctor made a name for himself as Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network. The movie was an immense hit at the box office and earned several Oscar nominations.

The Social Network chronicles the founding of popular social networking site Facebook, telling a tale of internet technology and its founders Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg), Eduardo Saverin, Sean Parker, and the Winklevoss twins.

Never Let Me Go

Kazuo Ishiguro's sixth novel, Never Let Me Go, is an intense and thought-provoking read that follows the journey of three young friends growing up at Hailsham Boarding School in the English countryside. Their seemingly ordinary lives take an extraordinary turn when they discover they're clones created to provide organs for "real" humans.

Ishiguro is a highly respected writer, and his prose often deceptively restrained and nuanced even when emotionally charged. His novels always pose profound questions about what it means to be human.

Never Let Me Go is a slow-burning novel that begins by setting the world of Hailsham. It's an exclusive boarding school for children, isolated from the outside world and where creativity takes precedence over rote learning. But soon Ishiguro begins dropping hints in ambiguous sentences that suggest an awful truth.

Kathy H (Carey Mulligan) and Tommy D (Andrew Garfield), two snarky, cynical teens, have a shared connection: they attended Hailsham as children together. Now young adults, the pair relive their days at the boarding school as they try to uncover what happened to them as they attempt to move forward in life.

Once they uncover what happened, they are devastated and furious. Yet they also remain determined to move on with their lives even as they come to understand that they had been duped and misled.

Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield deliver powerful performances in Never Let Me Go, a poignant coming-of-age drama that also raises important moral and ethical questions about cloning and human transplants. While it occasionally plays on some cliches, Never Let Me Go makes an uplifting argument for true love.

It's a story of betrayal, romance and friendship that's complicated by the fact that its main characters are clones. As they attempt to uncover their secrets, they must contend with ethical dilemmas surrounding cloning and come to realize true love transcends mere emotion.

Due to these elements, Never Let Me Go is not only an intense drama but also an intriguing science fiction work that offers an alternative future. It would make an excellent choice for fans of dystopian films such as Brave New World or Nineteen Eighty-Four.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to 2011's hit, featuring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone - back as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy! As you might expect, this time around they have even greater chemistry onscreen.

Unfortunately, even with its strong cast, the film cannot overcome its weak script. It would've been much better with a more focused storyline; unfortunately, things get too confusing and characters don't get enough room to develop properly. Furthermore, the villains don't stand out too well either - especially Electro (Jamie Foxx), an engineering nerd turned blue-in-the-face.

Peter is a loner living in 1930s New York City wearing an armored metal rhinoceros suit that makes him appear like an adorable kid dressed as a superhero. He carries an immense burden for feeling out of place and wishes to avoid getting involved with dangerous superhero endeavors; this desire is further compounded by the fact that his deceased parents still haunt him to this day.

Garfield can't shake the feeling that Gwen promised her father she wouldn't involve him in his super-hero adventures. It's an unresolved issue that won't go away, and Garfield plays it perfectly with a brooding, cynical tone which made him the ideal Peter Parker.

Though the movie may focus too much on Peter and Gwen, there's still plenty of humor to keep things lively. Additionally, two new villains are introduced - a prankster whose engineering skills have gone awry, and an elderly heir to Oscorp fortune who is dying from genetic disease.

In this sequel, there's an unexpected amount of romance. While it doesn't quite reach the same heights as in the original, Garfield and Stone's chemistry remains fantastic.

Though The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn't quite as good as its predecessor, it still provides a fun ride and fast-paced action sequences. Unfortunately, the movie's subpar script and recycled themes leave viewers with the feeling that something was missed from its talented team behind it. Still, Garfield and Stone make the most of their screen time; hopefully with more focused writing they could create an excellent sequel down the line.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3

For years, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 has been in development. Directed by Marc Webb and featuring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, it marked a reboot of the beloved franchise.

The movie was a big hit at the box office, grossing over $758 million worldwide. Unfortunately, critics weren't impressed and fans expressed skepticism towards its portrayal.

Fans have been intrigued by a trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man: No Way Home, which includes footage from both films in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise - including The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Now some are wondering if Marvel and Sony have decided to bring back Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man.

Although The Amazing Spider-Man 3 may not exist, its popularity and loyal fan base remain intact. Rumors swirl that Sony may release a sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man in 2022.

Since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans have been demanding Andrew Garfield to return as Spider-Man in a third film. Now, a social media campaign has been launched in an attempt to make this happen.

This campaign, known as #MakeTASM3, was used to promote the digital release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. While it proved successful in encouraging fans to comment and spread awareness about the film, it has caused some issues for Sony's social media account.

Twitter responded to the tweet, but did not address why Andrew Garfield has been refusing to join another superhero movie due to an alleged series of incidents between him and Sony. While Garfield may remain adamant about not appearing in another superhero movie, there may not be as much sway behind that decision as one might think.

Garfield's recent appearance as Spider-Man in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home has given him a huge rebirth among fans. Not only did he reprise Peter Parker, but also had an uplifting moment when he saved MJ (Zendaya) from Green Goblin's attack on Statue of Liberty. While his time with the series hasn't always gone smoothly, it has given him newfound fame and an avid following of admirers.
