Eataly is located in the Lingotto district of Turin, and is easily accessible via the Lingotto metro station. The New York Times has described it as a "megastore" that "combines elements of a bustling European open market, a Whole-Foods-style supermarket, a high-end food court and a New Age learning center."

Eataly is the largest Italian marketplace in the world, committed to promoting high-quality yet affordable regional Italian food with a local twist. As of now, Eataly USA comprises Eataly New York Flatiron, Eataly Chicago, Eataly NYC Downtown, Eataly Boston, Eataly L.A., and Eataly Las Vegas – all modeled after the first Eataly in Turin, Italy, founded by Oscar Farinetti in 2007. Eataly Boston is a three-floor authentic Italian experience with plenty for guests to eat, shop and learn including: four full-service restaurants; retail counters (including meat, seafood, fresh pasta, pastry and chocolate, cheese and cured meats); two coffee bars; a bakery; a salad bar; a mozzarella lab; a gelato counter; every essential grocery department including sweets, spreads and jams, hundreds of olive oils, and dry pastas (sourced from both Italy and New England); a housewares section; a book store; a cooking school; various private event spaces, and much more! Founded in 2007, Eataly was born in Italy from Oscar Farinetti’s idea to gather high-quality food at sustainable and reasonable prices for all, celebrate Italian biodiversity and create an informal, natural and simple place to Eat, Shop, Learn, all under one roof. The name EATALY is a fusion of two words: EAT and ITALY. As a result, Eataly stands for ‘Eating Italian’ which encompasses the history and the food culture of Italy, the ease of preparing Italian dishes, and the many qualities that Italy has to offer. There are over 40 Eataly stores across 15 countries around the world, with Eataly London being the first in the UK employing 300 people. Eataly.co.uk (Source: www.broadgate.co.uk)
