FutureStarrChex Mix Recipe:
Everyone’s favorite savory Chex Mix snack mix made with Chex cereal, cheese crackers, pretzels, nuts, and a simple homemade sauce; all baked to perfection!
When it comes to snack foods, nothing beats good ol’ Chex Mix. It’s salty, crunchy, savory, and just so dang addicting. Add a Diet Coke to the lineup and someone gets me my spandex pants because in the words of Miley Cyrus,” I can’t stop, and I won’t stop.”
Most of us will be sitting at home next weekend passing out candy to little goblins and ghouls, so I thought you might need a little spicy-salty-crunchy snack to keep you company as you wait for that doorbell to ring. This Spicy Chex Mix is the classic snack mix but with a spicy kick! It’s super easy to make and the cost is just so much less to make at home compared to buying it pre-packaged. You might find yourself making a batch every week or so instead of buying your regular chips and pretzels!
I've been so overly excited to put this seriously simple recipe up for you! I'm attached to this recipe because my Grandma always had a giant bowl of Chex Mix out during Thanksgiving and Christmas! I've done my best to replicate her recipe here. What I love about this vs packaged mix, is that I can add all of our family's personal favorite snacks and make sure every piece is coated in seasoning. Make sure you put a bowl out this for your guests while you wait for that juicy Roast Turkey to finish up, and if you're looking for more appetizers our Dill Pickle Bacon Cheese Ball is always a crowd pleaser! Ingredients 8 ounces bag of Chex mix ½ bag of pretzel pieces 1 bag of Cheerios
I've played around with this a lot to get that perfect balance. It's a super simple mix of melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and garlic powder. Make sure that you use SEASONED salt and not regular table salt! I use Lawry's brand because that's what is easiest for me to find. You can use any brand you like and can find it at any grocery store with the other spices. (Source: thesaltymarshmallow.com)

Preheat the oven to 275°F. Melt the butter in the microwave in a medium bowl or measuring cup. Add the brown sugar and vanilla extract and whisk well until combined and dissolved. In a VERY large bowl, add the Chex cereal, pretzels, and Bugles. (Source: www.thecountrycook.net)
