Bad daddy's

In 2007, the first Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar opened on East Blvd. in Charlotte, NC. It was an immediate success, and for good reason. Our philosophy to prepare simple foods–such as the quintessential American dish, the hamburger–with culinary passion satisfied a craving among restaurant-goers like nothing had before. The new restaurant will join the Marietta Chamber of Commerce and other city officials in celebrating its grand opening starting at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 8. Of course, it’s Bad Daddy’s, so this won’t be your typical grand opening celebration. Instead, the new restaurant will be slicin’ into a giant version of one of its renowned burgers so attendees will get to see its handcrafted, mouthwatering ingredients up close and personal.

You may have heard by now that Charlotte’s favorite burger bar, Big Daddy’s, has changed its name to Bad Daddy’s. But don’t despair burger lovers, that’s all that’s changing. The issue was a legal one (there’s a Big Daddy’s Diner in New York that owned the name) and Bad Daddy’s is the exact same restaurant under the exact same ownership, just with a few different letters. The deal includes 4 restaurants in NC, a portion of member interest in 3 additional NC restaurants, the license for the Bad Dddy’s Burger Bar at the CLT airport, IP associated with Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar and 52% of member interest in restaurant franchise, which includes two Bad Daddy’s opening in SC and TN and rights to Bad Daddy’s in CO.“When we first got involved with Bad Daddy’s approximately two years ago, we were excited about the potential for the brand and had certain first rights of offer to acquire it. Since then, the performance of the Bad Daddy’s restaurants we have opened and those in which we will be acquiring an interest has confirmed our original enthusiasm. We believe it is in the best interests of our shareholders to acquire 100% of the rights to the brand and all future development now rather than later. They have a great group of people and this transaction will provide an expanded operating base from which to accelerate our growth, additional opportunities for the operating team and all the future development rights for the concept.” – Boyd Hoback, President & CEO of Good Times Restaurants.

MIAMI (Feb. 12, 2015) – Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar, a chef-driven, full-service restaurant that uses a mix of local and artisanal ingredients to create the most delicious, flavorful and downright baddest burgers around, is joining the star-studded Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE to compete for the coveted Amstel Light People’s Choice Award in the 2015 Amstel Light Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons hosted by Rachael Ray.
