#UtahJazz Linked to 3-Team Trade - #AdrianWojnarowski Reports
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers, Jazz and Timberwolves are working on a three-team trade that would send D’Angelo Russell to Los Angeles, Russell Westbrook to Utah and Mike Conley to Minnesota.
The Lakers would get Russell, forward Juan Toscano-Anderson and center Damian Jones. In return, the Jazz would receive Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt.
The Utah Jazz have been linked to a 3-team trade that involves Russell Westbrook and Mike Conley. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the deal Wednesday afternoon, and sources have confirmed it to the Deseret News. The deal involves Westbrook and a top-four protected 2027 first round pick going to the Jazz, D'Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley moving to Los Angeles and Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker to the Timberwolves.
Westbrook, who signed with the Lakers in 2021 and has been a staple of the franchise’s success since, is averaging 15.9 points and 7.5 assists this season while playing off the bench. The former MVP is coming off a strong season in Oklahoma City, where he led the league in triple-doubles and set a career high in assists.
A move to the Jazz, where he would play next to Anthony Edwards and Rudy Gobert, could benefit him by giving him more half-court offense and help with a defense that is currently the league’s worst. It would also allow the Jazz to cash in on a top pick that could be useful should LeBron James or Anthony Davis decline over the next decade.
Conley, who has been with the Jazz for the past year, has a similar skill set to Westbrook. He’s a veteran point guard who can run the team and shoot the three well, allowing him to be an option on both ends of the floor.
This move also gives the Wolves more flexibility to work with when it comes to roster construction and trades in the future. With Anthony Edwards establishing himself as one of the NBA’s best young stars, a steady-handed veteran like Conley could fit in better with him and give the Wolves a third offensive option when Karl-Anthony Towns returns from his knee injury.
The Wolves will likely use this move as a springboard to improve their team in the long run, and it has the potential to make them more competitive in the Western Conference. But this move could also end up being a disaster for the Jazz, especially if the Wolves fall out of the playoff picture in the near future.
The Jazz are linked to a 3-team trade that would send D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for guard Mike Conley. Beasley, 26, was originally acquired by the Jazz in a trade for Rudy Gobert in July of 2022. He averaged 13.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game this season while shooting 35.9% from deep and was a key component in the team’s surprising run to the play-in round of the Western Conference playoffs.
In addition, the Jazz have a lot of assets they can use to make a run at a championship this year, including 15 unprotected first-round draft picks through 2029 and $60M in potential cap space that could be used to develop more young players like Lauri Markkanen, Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton. This deal could allow the Jazz to move into the top five of the NBA’s lottery and re-establish their presence in the West.
It is also possible that the Lakers will buy out Russell and he will never suit up for Utah, much like Derrick Rose did in 2018. But if the Jazz take Westbrook to the deadline, they may want to try to trade him to another team that can benefit from his talents.
Minnesota is one of those teams that needs a veteran point guard to help guide them forward, and Russell is a good option for them. He is under contract for another season and has proven he can compete on both ends of the floor.
Beasley, on the other hand, is a more versatile player that can score and shoot. He is also a strong floor-spacer and has shown that he can defend.
But he is also a polarizing player and he has been criticized for his on-court demeanor. He is also accused of threatening to kill people with a rifle after a car stopped in front of his home.
The Timberwolves have been struggling to incorporate their new center into the offense and this deal will provide them with a reliable veteran point guard who can be counted on for consistent half-court execution. It will also give them the opportunity to bring back Conley, who spent three seasons with Rudy Gobert in Utah and has been a vital component to their surprising run this season.
The Utah Jazz are linked to a 3-team trade involving Mike Conley that would send him to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN reports. The deal involves D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt going to the Lakers, while Conley, Westbrook and a 2027 first-round pick are sent to Minnesota.
The Jazz have been linked to multiple trades this season as they seek to rebuild the team around Royce O’Neale, Rudy Gobert and Lauri Markkanen. They have assembled a massive package of assets that includes 15 unprotected or lightly protected first-round picks through 2029 and more than $60 million in salary cap space.
While the Lakers did not make a major move at the trade deadline, they have been attempting to build a team that can compete for titles in the near future. This trade could give them the roster upgrades they need to be in contention.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers are expected to send guard D’Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley to the Timberwolves in exchange for guard Mike Conley and a top-four-protected 2027 first-round pick from the Jazz. Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones and a second-round pick will also be included in the deal.
In terms of D’Angelo Russell, he has become the focal point of the Wolves offense this year as he averages 17.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting 46.5% from the field and 39.1% from 3.
Beasley, who is a versatile 3-and-D wing that has been a key contributor in the rotation this season with the Jazz, has been a key figure in the team’s success so far. He is averaging 13.4 points while shooting 35.6% from three in his seventh NBA season and is a reliable 38 percent shooter from deep, but his 3-point shooting has been down this year with the Jazz.
Whether this deal will be successful is up to the Lakers, but it could provide them with a significant boost to their team. Adding Russell, Beasley and Vanderbilt to the mix should help the Lakers improve their chances of winning the Western Conference this year and building a sustainable team in the long run.
D’Angelo Russell, a former Ohio State star and the second overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, has been linked to a 3-team trade that would send him to the Los Angeles Lakers. The deal also involves the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz.
After struggling for the first two seasons in the NBA, Russell has finally found his groove this season. He is averaging 17.9 points, 6.2 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game this season. His shooting percentages are up and his three-point range is also more consistent than in past years.
He also has had some strong games, including a career-high 52 points in a loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves last month. He has shown that he is a top-five point guard in the league, and his presence on the court could help the Lakers win more games this season.
In addition to Russell, the trade also reportedly sends Mike Conley to the Timberwolves and Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt to the Lakers. This is a good move for both teams, as it ends the uncertainty surrounding Westbrook in Los Angeles and gives Russell a chance to thrive.
This trade has a lot of moving parts, but it’s still in the works. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Lakers are negotiating with the Timberwolves and Utah Jazz about the trade, which hinges on how much the Timberwolves value Russell and whether they can send back draft picks.
A trade of this nature is unlikely to be finalized until Thursday, but the Lakers have been rumored to be interested in Kyrie Irving since the beginning of the NBA trade deadline. If they are able to acquire Kyrie, the Lakers may be ready to reunite him with LeBron James, which is an exciting prospect.
The Timberwolves, on the other hand, have been in a constant state of flux this season with injuries to several key players. The addition of Conley will allow for more stability in the locker room and a better chance for the team to achieve success during the season.
The deal also includes a first-round pick in 2027 that is protected. The Jazz will send Westbrook and a 2027 first-round pick to the Lakers, while Utah will also send forward Juan Toscano-Anderson and center Damian Jones to the Timberwolves. This is a good move for both the Jazz and the Lakers, as it will end the uncertainty surrounding Westbrook in Los Angeles and give Russell a chance to thrive.
The Los Angeles Lakers have officially pulled the trigger on a trade that has been months in the making. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, a three-team deal has been finalized that will send Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz and D’Angelo Russell to the Lakers.
In the deal, the Jazz will receive Westbrook, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones and a lightly protected 2027 first-round pick. Meanwhile, Minnesota will receive Mike Conley Jr., Nickeil Alexander-Walker and three second-round picks.
The Los Angeles Lakers have finalized a trade with the Utah Jazz and Minnesota Timberwolves that will send Russell Westbrook to Utah and acquire D'Angelo Russell from Minnesota. The deal also involves Mike Conley and Malik Beasley from Utah, Nickeil Alexander-Walker from Minnesota and a protected 2027 first-round pick from the Lakers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Lakers have been in desperate need of a scoring boost since losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, which has them in 13th place in the Western Conference at 25-30. A big part of the team's struggles has been the late-game spacing issues and decision-making that have plagued them in crunch time this season.
Fortunately, the trade will address those issues by adding another scorer to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Russell, 26, has a career 46.5 field goal percentage this season and should help the Lakers improve their offense on both ends of the floor.
He has also been making a lot of three-pointers this year, with a career-high 39% percentage. He should add a veteran presence to the Lakers, who have been without D'Angelo Russell for most of this season because of an injury.
While he is still averaging 15.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game, Westbrook has been struggling with his efficiency this season, as his 41.7 shooting percentage ranks among the worst marks of his NBA career. He may seek a buyout from the Jazz so he can join a contender, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report previously reported.
This would be a homecoming for Westbrook, who was a Los Angeles native and helped lead UCLA to a pair of Final Fours. His tenure with the Lakers was a mixed bag, though injuries and a poor on-court fit with LeBron James and Anthony Davis tripped up the franchise last season.
Despite that, Westbrook was an All-Star last season and was a favorite to win the Sixth Man of the Year award. His on-court impact was not enough to propel the Lakers to title contention, but his contributions were crucial in helping the team make an offseason trade that would eventually get them Anthony Davis. The former All-Star's on-court personality and tenacity will help the Lakers take a step forward in their search for a winning formula.
With the trade deadline just a few days away, three teams are in serious talks for a huge trade. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania reported on Wednesday that the Lakers, Utah Jazz and Timberwolves are working on a deal that would send D'Angelo Russell to Los Angeles, Mike Conley to Minnesota and Russell Westbrook to Utah.
According to the reports, the Timberwolves will receive point guard Mike Conley and a top-4 protected 2027 Lakers first-round pick from Utah in return for Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt. The Jazz will also receive Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones and Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
Conley is a veteran point guard who spent most of his career in Utah, overlapping with Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert for three seasons from 2019 to 2022. He has averaged 10.7 points, 7.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds this season while playing a significant role in Utah's 10-3 start and a playoff appearance.
He has also been a strong leader for a Utah team that has made an impressive run through the NBA's regular season. His positive net rating has helped the Jazz maintain a top-10 record.
In addition, Conley is still a solid playmaker who should be able to help the Timberwolves win some games in his new role with D'Angelo Russell now in Los Angeles. The Timberwolves are getting a veteran point guard in Conley who should be able to help the team compete for the Western Conference title this season and beyond, even as Russell remains a restricted free agent after this year.
Additionally, Conley has a strong contract in place, which will help the Wolves retain a significant amount of flexibility for future moves if Russell does decide to leave the team in free agency. He's under contract for two more years and will be a free agent after the 2023-24 season, so this move will preserve his salary slot while also giving the Wolves more flexibility to sign other big-ticket players next season.
While Russell is one of the best point guards in the NBA, he has struggled to find consistent success defensively. This move will give the Timberwolves a veteran point guard that can be counted on to play solid defense. In addition, Conley should be a reliable scorer and shooter from the perimeter.
A blockbuster three-team trade that will send Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz and D'Angelo Russell to the Lakers has been finalized, sources tell USA TODAY Sports. The trade also sends Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt to Los Angeles, while Mike Conley Jr. is heading to Minnesota along with second-round draft compensation.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday that the Lakers, Timberwolves and Jazz are in discussions on a deal that would include Westbrook and Russell. He also shared that the Timberwolves are sending guard Mike Conley and a 2024 pick to Utah, as well as a 2025 and 2026 second-round pick.
Meanwhile, the Lakers are adding another former Kentucky Wildcat to their roster as they have reportedly agreed to a deal that will see Jarred Vanderbilt head to Los Angeles in exchange for a first-round pick. The deal would give Vanderbilt a chance to join his old college teammates Wenyen Gabriel and Anthony Davis, who are currently on the roster of the Lakers.
While the Lakers have made a major addition, this move doesn't stop them from continuing to make a lot of changes throughout their NBA season. According to reports, they are looking at adding a guard to their roster with a little extra speed and athleticism, so it's no surprise that they are trying to add a player like Vanderbilt, who spent one year at Kentucky and is averaging 12.9 points, 6.9 assists, and 3.7 rebounds this season in 52 games.
If Vanderbilt is part of the deal, it will give the Lakers a more complete and versatile offensive option that isn't restricted and doesn't have to worry about getting injured. It's also a sign that the team has confidence in their ability to win games on the court with this roster and that they are willing to take risks with young players.
The trade will also free up a significant amount of cap space for the Lakers, so they could use it to help them compete for the championship next season. This will also allow them to continue building the future of their franchise in other ways, such as by acquiring more draft picks or by adding more veteran players who can contribute immediately.
The Los Angeles Lakers are completing a three-team trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz that will send Russell Westbrook to the Jazz and get D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt from the Lakers. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the deal is now finalized.
The move is a smart one for the Lakers, who haven’t made the playoffs since 2015-16, but are currently 25-30 and two games behind the Play-In Tournament. It gives the team a few new pieces to help boost its chances of winning a playoff spot, with 27 games remaining on the schedule.
Adding Russell, who is averaging 17.9 points and 6.2 assists this season, will allow the Lakers to address their biggest issue: 3-point shooting. He’s a career 38 percent shooter from deep and has a solid percentage of makes this season, ranking 12th among players with at least 350 three-point attempts.
Beasley, on the other hand, is an excellent off-the-bench player who will add some 3-point firepower to the Lakers. He’s also a good rebounder and will likely be used in some defensive rotations.
With Russell, Beasley and Vanderbilt, the Lakers have gotten a strong trio of young players who can help them compete in the NBA and beyond. They will still need to work out the contract details, but this is a deal that gives them some financial flexibility, even after this season.
Vanderbilt, on the other hand, will give the Lakers a great deal of versatility and defense in the frontcourt. He’s a big man with excellent athleticism, averaging 8.3 points and 7.9 rebounds this season. He’s also a shoo-in for the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award, which he won last year with the Timberwolves.
The move will give the Lakers a chance to improve their depth at each position and hopefully jump back into the top six in the Western Conference. It’s still too early to see if this trade will help them make the playoffs, but it should improve their roster enough that they can win a few games against the top teams in the Western Conference before the All-Star break.
The LA Lakers have made some serious moves this offseason, acquiring D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt. The three players instantly upgrade the team’s 3-point shooting and defense, which has been a major issue this season.
The move also gives LA a starting point guard for the foreseeable future. This will help them build a strong foundation for the next few seasons with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly getting a nice haul in a three-team trade that will send Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz and acquire D'Angelo Russell from the Minnesota Timberwolves. This is a great deal for the Lakers, who are in need of help in their backcourt.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, this three-team trade will involve the Los Angeles Lakers trading Russell Westbrook and Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz in a deal that will also include the Minnesota Timberwolves sending D'Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley to Los Angeles. The Lakers will also get Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones and a first-round pick from the Jazz.
This trade will give the Lakers an immediate upgrade in their backcourt, as D'Angelo Russell has been shooting 43 percent from deep over the last two months. He is almost 27 years old and will provide a veteran presence at the point for the Lakers.
It’s no secret that the Lakers had a desire to trade Westbrook, who has been struggling since joining the team prior to 2022-23. Earlier this season, new head coach Darvin Ham moved him to the bench, which allowed LeBron James and Davis to play more minutes together. However, it didn’t seem to work, as the Lakers have struggled to find consistency on the offensive end this season.
Despite this, Westbrook still holds the NBA record for most career points scored and assists recorded. He will be a free agent next summer and will be an option for teams looking to add more firepower at the point.
One thing to keep in mind is that Westbrook is a highly expensive player who will cost the Lakers $47.1 million this season and could be on the market in the future. That could lead to him seeking a buyout from the Jazz, which would allow him to choose his own team.
In the meantime, the Lakers have also been in trade talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves for D'Angelo Russell, who they selected second overall in 2015 and has spent his entire career in Minnesota. This is a great opportunity for the Lakers to bring in Russell, who is an All-Star and has the potential to be an excellent pouncer on offenses.
Aside from D'Angelo Russell, the Lakers will also receive Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt in this trade. It will be interesting to see how they pair Beasley and Vanderbilt with Russell in the Lakers’ lineup.
It would also be interesting to see if the Lakers can make this deal a success and land a top pick in 2022 or 2023. If this is a successful deal, then it will be a game changer for the Lakers in the future.
Hopefully, this deal will turn around the Lakers’ fortunes and give them a chance to win an NBA championship in 2023. It will certainly be exciting to watch and will be something the Los Angeles fans have been waiting for.
D'Angelo Russell and Malik Beasley are heading to the Los Angeles Lakers in a three-team trade that also includes the Utah Jazz, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. In the deal, Russell Westbrook and a first-round pick will head to the Timberwolves, while Beasley and Vanderbilt will go to the Lakers and Mike Conley will go to the Jazz.
This is a major trade for the Lakers, and it comes after they spent a year and a half without Russ as their point guard. The team has gotten a big boost in their backcourt, which was one of the reasons they missed the playoffs in Westbrook's first season.
Adding Russell and Beasley instantly improves the Lakers' 3-point shooting and defense, two areas in which they have struggled this season. The Lakers are currently 29th in 3-pointers made and 28th in opponents' points per game.
The deal reunites Russell with the Lakers for the second time in his career. He was drafted by the team No. 2 overall in the 2015 draft and played two seasons for them before he was traded to Brooklyn in June 2017.
Beasley is a former NBA All-Star who has averaged 11.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals this season. He is also a career 38% three-point shooter and has shown an improvement in his outside shooting this season.
In addition to his ability to score, Beasley is a solid defender, and he brings some depth to the frontcourt. The former UCLA standout's speed and lateral quickness help him make plays on the defensive end.
Meanwhile, Vanderbilt is a very versatile player, as he can play both the small forward and power forward positions. He doesn't have much on the offensive side, but he is a very good defender and will be a valuable piece for the Lakers.
This is a very important trade for the Lakers, as they need to upgrade their frontcourt and give LeBron James more options. This move will make the Lakers a better team and allow them to compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference this season.
The Lakers have already made a lot of changes this season, and the new trio of Russell, Beasley and Vanderbilt will further strengthen their roster. They will now be able to add a star in the form of James, while still retaining a strong group of young players who can push them for a title.
While this is a major upgrade in the backcourt, the Lakers will need to continue to make improvements elsewhere, such as on the offensive side. They have a strong core of young talent, but it is not yet clear that they will be able to get past the playoffs this year.
The Lakers should have a chance to win the Western Conference this season, but it will be tough. They have a difficult schedule and will need to make a big leap in the standings.
After a shaky start to the season, Utah Jazz forward/center Jarred Vanderbilt finally turned things around with a monster performance against the Los Angeles Lakers. He recorded a career-high 14 points, 14 rebounds and four assists while hitting three of his seven attempts from beyond the arc. He also nailed all four of his free throws and added four steals as the Jazz cruised to victory.
Despite his sluggish play this season, Vanderbilt still provides fantasy managers with decent value in leagues that weigh rebounds and steals as the most important stats. In fact, he's averaging a double-double in just 25 minutes per game this season and ranked as one of the best values in the league during the first half of the campaign.
He's still not a must-own in many formats, but he's a solid bet to get more minutes as the season goes on. He's a solid backup for Kelly Olynyk and Walker Kessler, and he'll still provide some nice value in the paint.
While he's had some trouble finding consistent playing time this season, there's no reason to think that Vanderbilt won't find his way into the Timberwolves rotation soon enough. After all, the team has a lot of young, talented players in the frontcourt right now.
In the meantime, Vanderbilt's best bet for steady playing time is to continue delivering on the promise he showed early in his Timberwolves career. In his first three seasons with the team, he averaged 5.9 points and 7.9 rebounds in just 69 games while helping the Wolves finish fifth in the NBA in defense.
Now that he's in Minnesota, it's time for Vanderbilt to tap into the mojo that made him "first team" all-defense back in January. The 23-year-old is still a work in progress, but he has a strong track record of playing hard and coming through with big performances when called upon.
The Timberwolves are likely to be a top contender in the Western Conference this season. But they'll need Vanderbilt to keep pushing and running like a lunatic if they want to make it all the way.
He needs to show more consistency in his shooting from beyond the arc and he has to do a better job of drawing fouls. But if the Wolves can get him back on track, he could be a nice add to the roster.
There are a few options for the Lakers to consider when it comes to adding a big man, and Vanderbilt could be an option as a backup to Anthony Davis and Thomas Bryant. He's a capable defender from the center position, though he hasn't been effective on the offensive end this season.
He also has a lot of upside as a shooter, but his lack of experience and a limited skill set will make it difficult for him to break into the starting lineup with the Lakers. He'll likely have to battle for minutes in the rotation with the likes of Anthony Davis, Thomas Bryant and Rui Hachimura.
During the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 5th, 2023, Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ failed to win Album of the Year. It marked her fourth time not winning the coveted award.
Jay-Z weighed in on the situation in an interview with Tidal before the show began, expressing his feelings about Beyonce’s snub. Jay compared her album to his own 2003 release, The Black Album, which earned him a nomination for album of the year.
JAY-Z Thought Beyonce Deserved Album of the Year at the Grammys: ‘We Just Won 32 Awards For You’
Before the 65th annual Grammy Awards ceremony, JAY-Z sat down with TIDAL’s Elliott Wilson to discuss why Queen Bey should finally win Album of the Year. He pointed to how the singer has deserved a win for her acclaimed work on Renaissance and how she is one of the most influential artists in modern music history.
The rapper, who was in attendance at the award show and walked away with four awards for her music, also praised Beyonce’s efforts to champion diversity within her art. But he added that the Recording Academy was a big disappointment, especially considering how many of her wins were genre-specific accolades, which aren’t regarded as a sign of a great album.
He also said that the singer is one of the best songwriters in the game and pointed out that the album has been inspiring creativity since it was released. He further said that Beyonce is the most decorated artist of all time with over 32 awards and that she should be given AOTY for her work on Renaissance.
It’s not surprising that Beyonce and her husband JAY-Z walked away with so many awards on Sunday, but the fact that she was shut out in the major AOTY races, which she had been nominated for for the past three years, is troubling. Not only is it a disservice to the Grammys, but it also reflects the industry’s lack of recognition for Black artists.
Beyonce’s newest album, Renaissance, was a homage to the club era during which Black and queer people sought liberation from their oppression through dance music. With its songs arranged like a DJ mix, Renaissance brings together post-1970s styles of Black dance music (disco, house) and pays tribute to the pioneers of these genres.
The album’s lyrics explore escapism, hedonism and self-assurance through dance music and seeks to inspire joy and freedom for listeners who have been living in isolation. It is an imaginative, deeply personal record that runs circles around her similarly minded Billboard-charting peers.
In an interview with TIDAL’s Elliott Wilson before the Grammys, Jay-Z praised Beyonce for making an album that is both “grand and painstakingly plotted.” It’s an album that draws inspiration from Black dance music, as well as a wide range of other musical influences. It’s a “masterpiece of both form and feeling,” as Wood notes, that explores the nuances of club culture.
But it’s important to note that Renaissance was a long-awaited comeback for Beyonce, and not an easy one. It’s also a very different style of pop from Lemonade or 2013’s Beyonce. Unlike those records, Renaissance is focused on the dancefloor, and its lyrics are aimed mostly at the self and her crew. It’s an incredibly horny album, and Beyonce isn’t afraid to show off her sexy side.
While Beyonce was a huge winner at the Grammys this year, she unfortunately did not receive her much deserved Album of the Year award. However, her husband JAY-Z took to social media to share his thoughts on the matter and said that he thought Beyonce’s Renaissance should have won this prestigious award.
Jay-Z is a rapper, producer and businessman who has made an impact on the music industry. He is the founder of Roc-A-Fella Records and the creator of his own clothing line. He has also made investments in disadvantaged communities around the world and is known for his philanthropic contributions.
The rapper and fashion mogul took to Instagram on Sunday (September 4) to reveal his favorite track off of Beyonce’s latest album ‘Renaissance’. In his post, Ye shared a screenshot of the track and said that it was his favorite song on the album.
He also stated that he does not get swept up in the emotion surrounding the Grammy awards, but feels that Hip-Hop and Black music should be more rewarded by the industry. He added that Beyonce’s previous albums did not win Album of the Year and felt that this one should have won it, adding that he believed this was an album that inspired creativity and should have received the accolade.
During his interview with Tidal, Jay-Z said that he believed that Beyonce’s Renaissance should have won the award this year and that she is an artist who deserves to be recognized. He further stated that he feels that the Recording Academy does not give enough credit to Hip-Hop and Black music in general.
In his interview with Tidal, Jay-Z also mentioned that he and Beyonce are planning to collaborate together on a third installment of the Renaissance series. The album will be a joint effort and will reportedly focus on bringing the two artists together to produce a musical experience that they can both enjoy.
According to the New York Times, Beyonce’s upcoming album will include a variety of genres including jazz, pop and R&B. The songs will also feature a variety of guest performers.
Jay-Z is a multi-platinum rapper and businessman who has earned a place in the history of the music industry with his achievements. He has won more than thirty GRAMMY awards and is a billionaire. He is the founder of Roc-A-Fella records and has been involved in numerous businesses, such as his ownership stakes in Armand de Brignac champagne and Uber.
He has also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He and Beyonce have welcomed twins to their family in 2017.
Although Jay-Z is a superstar, he still believes that the Recording Academy needs to do more to recognize the accomplishments of Hip-Hop artists. In fact, he even went as far as to say that he thinks Beyonce’s Renaissance should have won Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammys.
The Renaissance is a period of European history from the 14th century to the 17th century, when some of the greatest thinkers, authors, statesmen, scientists and artists in human history flourished. It’s often described as a “rebirth” or “revival” of classical ideas and influenced many disciplines in arts, literature, philosophy, music and science.
The term was coined by Florentine painter Giorgio Vasari, in his 1550 publication, ‘On the Arts of the Renaissance’ (see below). It is widely considered to be a movement that brought about new and exciting developments in art. Artists, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, were able to improve their techniques and develop new ways of creating realistic works.
Renaissance architecture was a huge part of this movement, as it was designed to be elegant, symmetrical and functional. It also emphasized the use of classical ratios, such as length and height.
Another key factor that contributed to the Renaissance was the invention of the Gutenberg printing press, which made it easier for people to spread information across Europe. This allowed more books to be printed and the works of early humanist authors, such as Francesco Petrarch, to be more readily available.
Humanism was a philosophy that focused on the human condition and the importance of knowledge of ancient Greece and Rome. It reflected the idea that a study of antiquity could teach people to be more virtuous and civic-minded.
A humanist approach to architecture and other art forms is what makes Renaissance masters such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo so extraordinary. They were able to create works of art that reflected their deep understanding of the human body and the environment, as well as their keen sense for light and perspective.
During this time, a number of important scientific discoveries were made that revolutionized how we view our world. For example, Galileo and Descartes presented a new way of looking at astronomy. While these discoveries were revolutionary in their own right, they also influenced Renaissance artists as they developed new and exciting techniques that helped them create better-looking works of art.
For these reasons, the Renaissance was one of the most significant periods in human history. During this time, some of the greatest thinkers and authors in the world flourished, including Leonardo da Vinci and William Shakespeare.
The Renaissance was also a period of global exploration, as Europe explored new lands and cultures to expand its commerce. The invention of the printing press, as well as international trade and finance, helped the Renaissance flourish in Europe.
Jay-Z has recently spoken out about Beyonce’s loss at the Grammys. During an interview with Elliott Wilson on TIDAL, he opened up about why he believed that Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ should have won Album of the Year instead of Harry Styles.
In the upcoming season of Finding Your Roots on PBS, Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello details his great-grandmother's harrowing escape from the Armenian Genocide. While the Turkish invaders killed all but one of her children, she escaped by pretending to be dead.
She played dead on the ground until the Turks left her home, then swam across a river to escape death marches. Afterward, she hid in a cave until she was picked up by the Germans.
Joe Manganiello, an American actor who appears on True Blood, is sharing the details of his great-grandmother's harrowing escape from the Armenian Genocide in an episode of the popular PBS documentary series "Finding Your Roots."
The genocide occurred in 1915 when Ottoman forces invaded eastern Anatolia and killed an estimated one million people. It was the culmination of a series of pogroms, massacres and assimilation and Islamization of Armenians that had started as early as 1894.
According to Joe, his grandmother Rose Darakjian survived the genocide by pretending to be dead after her husband and seven children were shot. She then escaped her village by swimming across the Euphrates river with her youngest child strapped to her back. She also avoided death marches and hid in a cave until she was picked up by German soldiers.
During the genocide, thousands of Armenians fled their villages and sought safety abroad. Several countries sent consular missions to the area and relief groups raised money to help the victims.
The Armenians feared that the Turks would kill their women and children, and some did in fact die, but many more survived. Some were able to escape and live as refugees in other parts of the world, including Europe and America.
While the genocide ended in 1918, it had a lasting impact on the Armenian community. Today, the people of Armenia have a new nation and a new identity that is completely different from their past.
It’s important to understand how the genocide happened so that we can learn from it and prevent it from happening again. This is especially important given that the Turkish government is still very much in denial about it.
Fortunately, the issue is starting to get more attention from academic historians, who are working to discredit these denialist theses and get Turkish and Armenian scholars to discuss the genocide in a more meaningful way. This has resulted in a more sophisticated understanding of the event and its aftermath.
The United States has been a key player in the process, offering financial aid to victims of the genocide and sending volunteers to Turkey. It also supported the formation of Armenian missions in the U.S. that provided regular updates on the events in the region. In addition, the US Embassy in Turkey has played an important role in bringing reconciliation between Armenia and Turkey to fruition.
Among the many eye-opening revelations on Season 9 of PBS' Finding Your Roots was the discovery that True Blood star Joe Manganiello has German roots. The actor, who is married to actress Sofia Vergara, discovered he was descended from a German officer with strong Nazi ties.
He told Gates that he knew nothing about his father's ancestry and had been unsure of his maternal line, either. His mother, who has Armenian and Italian ancestry, was "much more comfortable with my ancestry than I was."
The show's researchers traced his maternal lines back to his fifth great-grandfather, Plato Turner, a slave who became free before slavery was abolished in Massachusetts. That man fought in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.
When it came to the paternal line, the show's researchers learned that Manganiello's legal grandfather, surnamed Manganiello, was not his biological grandfather, and that his biological grandfather was a mixed-race African-American. They found that his fifth great-grandfather was a slave who became free before slavery was outlawed in Massachusetts and then went on to fight in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.
That was a huge shock to him, and to the rest of his family. Until the episode aired, they believed the man Manganiello had been told was his paternal grandfather was his biological father.
On the show, he also found out that his mother and aunt were the children of the half-German infant born to her grandmother. “It was a really profound moment for me, and I have never had to face that before,” Manganiello told Rolling Stone.
After hearing the shocking news of his ancestry, Manganiello said he has been overwhelmed with gratitude and humility. He has learned that he is part of a long line of people who have fought to be free, and he is thankful for the opportunity to explore his roots.
He is now working on a new project about his family's ancestry, and plans to share it with the world when the episode airs on January 3. He'll also be screening the episode in Los Angeles on January 15 -- a Finding Your Roots first.
Manganiello's great-grandmother was a harrowing woman who had the strength to survive a massacre. After the Turks entered her home and killed her husband and shot seven of her children, she strapped her eighth child to her back and swam across the Euphrates River. She eventually found refuge in a cave and lived with other refugees, but she still had a bullet in her body.
The actor's family had told him about his great-grandmother's harrowing escape, but they never really knew how she did it. When he linked with PBS' "Finding Your Roots," he learned a lot of new information about her.
In addition to the Armenian Genocide, his great-grandmother's ancestry also included Croatian and German ancestry. Gates and his team discovered that she was born in a camp during World War I to a German soldier who was stationed in Turkey, which helped them uncover her survival story.
It took a year for the show's researchers to find her, but when they did, it was a major moment. They also uncovered the fact that her half-German son had been a Nazi.
“This is really a very profound moment for me,” said Manganiello, who had previously thought he was German. He said he was surprised to learn that he is actually of mixed race with some African ancestry.
He also found out that his fifth great-grandfather was an African slave who became free before slavery was abolished in Massachusetts. He also learned that his distant relative fought for the Continental Army in the American Revolution.
To learn more about these and other haunting family stories, be sure to watch the episode with Joe Manganiello, along with that of former football star Tony Gonzalez on Tuesday (February 7) at 8 p.m. ET on PBS.
Finding Your Roots is a documentary series on PBS that uses DNA tracing to help celebrities discover new details about their ancestry. It's a fascinating look into the lives of people with different backgrounds and reveals the importance of preserving our history.
The show, which is hosted by Henry Louis Gates, uses a mix of old-fashioned research and DNA detective work to unravel mysteries about our families' pasts. With the help of Gates and his team, guests like Manganiello and former football player Tony Gonzalez are able to put their own family history into perspective.
Joe Manganiello, who plays Slade Wilson/Deathstroke in the DC Cinematic Universe, learned that his great-grandmother was a genocide survivor. It was a discovery that completely changed his life, according to a new episode of the PBS series Finding Your Roots.
In an episode that will air on Tuesday, February 7, Manganiello details how his ancestors survived the Armenian Genocide in 1915. His 91-year-old great-grandmother, Rose, was the only one of her family members who managed to escape from Armenia to Turkey.
After the Ottoman Turks invaded her village in 1915, she laid down unmoving and stayed there for days. She had no choice but to pretend to be dead. The Turkish soldiers then killed all but one of her children.
When she finally escaped, she swam across the Euphrates River and strapped her youngest child to her back. She made it to the other side but her baby drowned on the way. She then hid in a cave until she was picked up by the Germans, who took her to a camp.
Then, she gave birth to a half-German infant. She was impregnated by a German officer, who also served in the Nazi Army.
As he reflects on the story, Manganiello says that he can't help but feel sorry for his great-grandmother. "She's a very beautiful woman, but she was just trying to protect her eight children and herself," he said.
While he's happy to have found out his ancestry, he still has a lot of questions left about it. Especially since his mother, Susan Manganiello-Brachanow, has always said she was Italian.
Fortunately, this revelation has helped her understand more about her ancestry and the importance of accepting it. She now feels more connected to her roots and has become a stronger, more outspoken advocate for marriage equality.
The discovery isn't the first time Gates has guided a celebrity through an emotional deep dive into their family history. Many have said their discoveries have changed their lives forever. But this may be the most profound self-image-altering surprise yet.
