state farm commercials with football players

State Farm, a company that strives to make insurance simple, has proudly featured some iconic football players in its commercials.

State Farm commercials featuring Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes have been running for years. This year, Mahomes' top passing target Travis Kelce joined him in the commercial, and now his head coach Andy Reid has made his first appearance.

Patrick Mahomes

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has become a national icon, appearing in multiple State Farm commercials. In these ads, Mahomes portrays sneaker salesman, yoga instructor and gym rat roles.

The latest advertisement to hit the airwaves features Mahomes and his head coach, Andy Reid, in a humorous ad that depicts players drawing mustaches on their faces while they sleep. Directed by Eric Stonestreet, this commercial will air during Sunday Night Football action on CBS on October 2022.

Mahomes, who has a well-deserved reputation for acting in State Farm commercials, encouraged Reid to join him and said it was "kind of funny". In an interview with Carrington Harrison on 610 Sports Radio's "The Drive" program, Mahomes shared the story behind this advertisement.

State Farm ads have featured Reid before, but this time for a humorous twist. In a 30-second commercial, Jake (played by actor Kevin Miles) asks Reid if he enjoys drawing mustaches on his players when they sleep.

Though the ad itself is entertaining, it's the character Jeff that has gained the most online recognition. Jeff totes a tenor saxophone in the commercial, leading him to become an Internet sensation.

State Farm has used Mahomes in several commercials, featuring him alongside their spokescharacter "Jake". In some of these ads, Mahomes attempts to get a "Patrick rate" on his insurance; while in others he gets to spend quality time with his pup at a park.

State Farm ads featuring Mahomes and his canine companion, Jake, have become popular. They've appeared together in several films, as well as at a sneaker sale and at a gym.

Mahomes has also featured in a few State Farm advertisements that have generated considerable social media buzz, such as the bath bomb ad featuring Jake and a tenor saxophone. Filmed in Minneapolis, the spot quickly went viral and was recently included on an EP of jazz-themed bath bombs.

Aaron Rodgers

State Farm commercial star Aaron Rodgers has been one of the highest paid NFL players for over a decade, earning an estimated $2-3 million per year from endorsements and royalties.

Rodgers may not be the most dynamic player on the field, but he still makes for an excellent quarterback. This season he started every game and completed 62% of his passes for over 4,200 yards. Plus he has plenty of talent surrounding him that can help him win games. Rodgers should make the most of his remaining time with the Packers; however, some help may be necessary at the helm next year.

Despite his inconsistent performances this season, he remains a popular figure both on and off the field. He's one of few players in this league who polarizes opinions from both sides of the ball.

This week, the Packers star player made a major appearance in two new State Farm ads. These are part of their Personal Price Plan campaign which features Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.

In the first ad, Tom is taking a bath and tells Jake from State Farm that he likes bath bombs. Though it's poorly written, it still manages to be humorous due to how well-mannered and considerate the quarterback treats his customer.

The second ad is much funnier and features customers celebrating when they receive discounts through the company's "Discount Double Check" program. It's humorous and immediately reminds people of Rodgers' belt celebration when they see it.

State Farm's humorous commercial is an effective example of their ability to connect with consumers, particularly younger ones. While it may not be the greatest ad ever, it does serve to get people interested in their products.

Though these State Farm commercials might not be as humorous as some of their other football player commercials, they're definitely worth taking a look. They serve to connect with fans and give them something to laugh about while watching football.

Andy Reid

Since his appointment as Kansas City Chiefs head coach in 2013, Reid has guided his franchise to three Super Bowls, a runner-up finish and an early first-round bye in the playoffs. Additionally, he has guided them to six division titles and four conference championship games during his time with the team.

Andy Reid has earned the respect of many in the coaching profession after serving for almost 25 years. He began his journey at Brigham Young University and spent 14 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, leading them to victory in Super Bowl XXXI (2006).

After seven years as an assistant coach for the Green Bay Packers, Reid was selected to take over as head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. Since then, his team has made multiple postseason appearances and two Super Bowls (LV and LVII), cementing its place as one of football's most dominant units.

Mahomes, however, is a rising star who has taken the franchise to new heights with his playmaking prowess. He was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player and is widely considered one of the league's top offensive threats.

Mahomes has also featured in multiple State Farm commercials, portraying various characters such as a sneaker salesman, yoga instructor and gym rat. He is currently the face of State Farm's Personal Price Plan campaign which showcases him alongside Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in 30-, 15- and 6-second spots across Spanish language, NFL and general markets.

On Sunday, Mahomes and the Chiefs earned their first win of the season against the Arizona Cardinals to move to 3-1 heading into Week 6 against Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football. Mahomes expressed his teammates and coach have been supportive throughout this journey so far.

Mahomes said he has no plans to change his style of play this season and is eagerly awaiting the Chiefs' next matchup against the Raiders - which will mark Mahomes' final regular season game as a rookie.

Mahomes and Reid will lead the Chiefs to their second Super Bowl in three seasons, an amazing accomplishment for any coach in the NFL. But what's even more remarkable is that Reid has remained with the Chiefs for over two and a half decades - an amazing milestone in any coach's career.

Sue Bird

Patrick Mahomes, one of the most recognizable NFL endorsers in history, has featured prominently in several State Farm insurance commercials over the last two years. As a popular face for the brand and an inspiration to younger audiences alike, Mahomes continues to draw new customers in.

Mahomes may be the most well-known NFL star to appear in State Farm ads, but other sports stars have also done so. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Atlanta Hawks forward Trae Young and WNBA stars Sue Bird and Jonquel Jones have all featured prominently in several of the company's commercials.

In one ad, a young girl enters a car dealership and is warmly greeted by "Jake" from State Farm. However, she gets more than she bargained for when the "Jake" turns out to be Mahomes.

Mahomes has a longstanding partnership with State Farm, beginning during his early NFL days with the Houston Texans. He starred in multiple commercials featuring his "Jake" character and has also collaborated on products like shoes and bath bombs with them according to Kristyn Cook - State Farm's chief marketing officer.

As Mahomes' fame grew, State Farm hired Kevin Miles to play "Jake." He has portrayed Mahomes in six state farm commercials since 2020.

Miles noted that the company has also utilized other sports stars in its ads, such as WNBA star Sue Bird and NBA players Damian Lillard and Chris Paul. According to Miles, both characters - "Jake" and Mahomes - have garnered considerable attention from fans and young consumers.

This year, the company's newest ads spotlight WNBA legend Sue Bird. Popularly referred to as the "Tenacinator," Bird is one of the most beloved and well-known women in basketball.

Her career accomplishments include winning an Olympic gold medal, a World Championship and four WNBA titles. She is widely considered the greatest female basketball player ever by both her peers and fans alike.

She recently collaborated with Candace Parker to mock Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry in CarMax's latest set of commercials. When asked why she decided to do the gig, Candace Parker explained: "It was kind of an opportunity to do something different and do something a little bit more outside the court."

Aaron Rodgers Super Bowl 45 Stats

Aaron Rodgers is widely considered to be the greatest quarterback ever to play the game. He earned himself a Super Bowl ring and has also been named four times to the NFL's Most Valuable Player list.

He threw for 304 yards and three touchdowns during the Packers' Super Bowl victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers, joined by star wide receiver Jordy Nelson who caught nine passes for 140 yards.

Passing

Aaron Rodgers is an NFL quarterback who has earned multiple MVP awards, including two Super Bowl championships with the Green Bay Packers. With a career passer rating of 104.5 and touchdown-to-interception ratio of 449/93, Rodgers stands as one of the greatest quarterbacks in sport's history.

In 2011, the Green Bay Packers made their first Super Bowl since 1997, dominating the game from start to finish and defeating Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25 in the title game. Led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers who completed 24 of 39 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns without an interception, Rodgers led all players on this historic journey.

He helped the team set a franchise record for wins and finished the season with 45 touchdowns, 4,643 passing yards, and an NFL-record 122.5 passer rating. Many considered 2011 his best season ever and he earned himself the NFL MVP award.

Rodgers led the Packers to a 35-21 victory against the Detroit Lions in their opening postseason game, but they would go on to lose two more contests, including the NFC Championship against the New York Giants. Aside from his impressive stats, Rodgers was an invaluable asset for a defense which had struggled recently to stop running plays.

Aaron Rodgers made a name for himself with the Packers during his tenure, being known for his knack for connecting with receivers on short passes and for his leadership both on and off the field. Throughout his tenure with the team, Rodgers earned praise both on and off the field.

After winning the NFL MVP in 2010, Rodgers was expected to be the best quarterback for many years. Unfortunately, his performance hasn't quite lived up to expectation in recent seasons. Although he remains an impressive talent, his success may not be enough for him to secure a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Instead, he has dedicated himself to philanthropic endeavors. He founded his own foundation, the Aaron Rodgers Foundation, and has taken on various responsibilities to assist those in need. He is an enthusiastic supporter of organizations such as RAISE Hope for Congo and Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund; additionally, he was a guest host on game show "Jeopardy!" to raise awareness for those making an impact in our world.

Rushing

Football fans often overlook rushing as one of the most essential skills in the league. The most successful teams utilize both passing and rushing to win games; Green Bay Packers being one example. They boast one of the best offenses and defenses in the NFL, along with a talented young team led by MVP contender Aaron Rodgers.

Being an effective runner requires being able to read the play and make the appropriate moves. That is why it's so essential for you to pay close attention and listen closely to your coach when making decisions.

Make sure not to overuse yourself, as doing so could lead to injury and the inability to complete tasks effectively. This is particularly pertinent if playing in the NFL where teams increasingly rely on running the ball to score points.

The Packers struggled to find their running game against the Buccaneers, leading to an average day for their offense. Nonetheless, they managed to score some touchdowns.

They maintained balance on offense by employing both pass and run plays, helping them remain ahead of the Buccaneers throughout the game. Furthermore, the Packers played a strong defense that made it difficult for Buccaneers to get their offense going.

Ultimately, the Packers were able to secure a victory over the Bears by 28 points. This was an enormous triumph for their team and will remain as a fond memory for all involved.

It's hard to determine who was the superior player in this game. Both quarterbacks played well, but it's impossible to definitively declare one as the victor.

Aaron Rodgers is one of the NFL's premier quarterbacks, not necessarily because they're best suited for the position but because he knows how to maximize his opportunity. He follows in Tom Brady and Peyton Manning's footsteps as an heir apparent to this elite group of superstars.

Receiving

Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history and boasts some impressive regular season stats. However, his Super Bowl record falls slightly short of other great quarterbacks' records.

He has failed to lead his team to the Super Bowl on multiple occasions. His only exception was in 2010, when he led the Packers to a win against Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl. Additionally, he holds an unfavorable 1-4 record in NFC Championship games.

Rodgers had impressive passing statistics during his first two seasons as the starter for the Green Bay Packers. In 2008, he threw for 4,038 yards and 28 touchdowns; two seasons later, in 2009, he added another 4,000-yard season to lead his team to an 11-5 record and a playoff berth.

In 2010, Rodgers continued his impressive start as a starter with 4,643 yards and 45 touchdowns thrown. His passer rating of 122.5 earned him top honors in several key passing statistics such as touchdown to interception ratio (7.5), completion percentage (9.0) and yards per attempt (9.2).

For the second consecutive season, Josh Gordon set new records in passing yards and touchdowns, finishing second overall in both categories (yardage and total touchdowns) while ranking fourth overall for pass efficiency.

The following season, he led the Packers to a division title and earned himself the title of NFC Offensive Player of the Year. His passer rating was the highest recorded by any Packers quarterback since Brett Favre.

He finished the 2010 season with a remarkable 92.4 grade from PFF, an all-time high for any quarterback. This marked the first time ever that a quarterback earned such an impressive grade from PFF during a single season and marked an important milestone for the Packers offense.

Rodgers was incredible for the Green Bay Packers in their Super Bowl 45 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, completing his first pass of the game - a 29-yard throw to Jordy Nelson - before going on a seven-yard run on third and goal. On his next play, Rodgers completed an eight-yard pass to Greg Jennings for another touchdown which gave his team an incredible 27-17 lead.

Special Teams

Special teams play is often overlooked in the quest for a championship, yet they play an essential role. That is why the Green Bay Packers made such an early impression in the third phase of the game by recruiting Rich Bisaccia - a special teams expert who helped Tampa Bay become one of the most dominant units in that aspect last season.

In their first game under Bisaccia, the Packers routed Kansas City Chiefs 41-38. The offense moved the ball well in the second half, while defense held Kansas City's running game to just 16 yards. Furthermore, defense made a huge play on game's defining play when they intercepted quarterback Andy Dalton and returned it to their 45 yard line with four seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Packers went on to win the following game against the New York Jets, securing themselves the NFC North title and home-field advantage for playoffs. In his final two games of the season, Rodgers threw for 343 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions to lead Green Bay to an impressive 13-3 record.

Super Bowl XLV saw Tom Brady put in an outstanding performance that earned him both his first career Super Bowl ring and MVP award. In 24 of 34 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he completed 24 of 34 passes for 304 yards and three scores.

Rodgers had already begun his remarkable comeback season, becoming a beloved hero in Green Bay with an unprecedented triple-digit passer rating. During the regular season, he led his team to 15-1 victory - becoming only the second quarterback ever in NFL history to lead their team to such success!

He earned the title of NFC Offensive Player of the Month for October after leading Green Bay to a 3-0 record. Additionally, he was chosen as NFC Offensive Player of the Week twice that month, finishing each contest with an impressive 101.2 passer rating.
