how many games has nick bosa missed

Nick Bosa is a great player that has been around for a long time. He's been a very important part of the San Francisco 49ers' success. However, there are some questions that everyone has about his career and his current status. Here is a look at his history and the impacts that he's had on the team.

Career highlights

Nick Bosa is a defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers. He is the younger brother of Joey, who has also played in the NFL. The two are very similar in stature and athleticism, but Bosa is a bit larger than his brother.

When Nick Bosa was a sophomore at Ohio State, he was the starting defensive end. At the time, he was considered a consensus 5-star prospect. In addition to his sacks, he had a number of other impressive statistics. He was named to the First Team All-Big Ten and PFWA All-Rookie teams.

Despite his rookie season not being quite as spectacular as he had hoped, he managed to get a lot done. He was awarded the PFWA Defensive Rookie of the Year award and the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month award.

He was also named to the Pro Bowl for the first time. His performance in Week 15 was the best of the season. Not only did he record a sack, but he also had an interception. A couple of quarterback hits and a pass breakup also added up to a big performance.

Nick is still waiting to reach his career high of 15.5 sacks, but he is close. This week, he recorded another sack and had 32 total tackles. There are three more weeks of the regular season left.

In his final year at Ohio State, he finished with 60 sacks and an AP All-American selection. He was also named to the PFWA and Sport News All-AFC teams.

Bosa was drafted third overall by the San Diego Chargers in the 2016 draft. He had signed a four-year deal with the team in July of that year. It was a contract that guaranteed him a $6 million salary. As part of the deal, he received $17 million in bonuses.

Upon signing his contract, he was voted to the PFWA All-Rookie and PFWA All-Defensive Teams. Additionally, he was named to the First-Team All-Big Ten and Smith-Brown Defensive Lineman of the Year awards.

His efforts during his rookie season have made him a leading candidate for the NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Although his sacks are not nearly as many as they were during his junior year, he has had an excellent rookie season.

Hall of fame induction

Nick Bosa is a defensive player who has made his mark on the field with his outstanding play. He is a key part of the 49ers defense. With a career-high 15 sacks last season, he is among the best pass rushers in the NFL. The 25-year-old has also posted two fumble recoveries and forced fumbles.

Nick Bosa is a great candidate to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His selection marks the second time in a row that a member of the San Francisco 49ers has been chosen. A member of the class of 2020, he is one of eight new members.

Along with Bosa, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced the induction of five modern-era enshrinees. Among them are New England's Richard Seymour, Green Bay's LeRoy Butler, Jacksonville's Tony Boselli and Sam Mills, and former Raiders wide receiver Larry Branch.

In his induction speech, Kyle Shanahan praised Young for the contributions he had made to the 49ers. Young was one of the best defensive players of his era. During his 14-year career, he was an All-Pro four times and was part of the 1994 Super Bowl championship team.

As one of the top pass rushers in the game, Young had a career-high 11 sacks in 1999. His induction was a way of honoring his 14-year career.

In addition to Bosa, the class also includes a return specialist, a linebacker, an offensive tackle and a coach. This is the most notable group of new Hall of Famers since the '90s.

Other finalists were running back Curtis Martin, safety Troy Polamalu, and quarterbacks Clay Matthews and Kyler Murray. Two of the finalists were also first-ballot candidates.

On top of his defensive accolades, Joey Bosa also received Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. It is a rare distinction to achieve, and Bosa is one of the only players under 26 to earn back-to-back seasons with 15 or more sacks.

Another first-ballot Hall of Famers is former Jets center Kevin Mawae. Mawae played a key role in the 49ers' title run in 1994, carving space for Curtis Martin. Despite missing four games in 1998 due to a broken leg, he finished the season with a career-high 11 sacks.

Injuries

It is hard to believe that a year has passed since Nick Bosa ruled himself out of the NFL with an injury. During this time, he has been able to make steady progress. In addition to returning to play in the NFC championship game, he has been putting together an impressive Defensive Player of the Year campaign.

However, it is still unclear what exactly happened with his injury. The 49ers are unsure whether he is ready to play on Sunday.

The team is still figuring out how much he will be able to play, but Kyle Shanahan is optimistic. He said, "I am hopeful that he will be able to come out on Sunday."

Interestingly, Joey Bosa has been the most notable player to miss games because of an injury in recent years. While he has missed 11 games at Ohio State, he's also had a number of injuries during his NFL career. Currently, Bosa is dealing with a hamstring injury, but it's unclear how long it will take him to fully recover.

In Week 2, the 2020 Niners played against the New York Jets. There, Bosa tore his ACL. That was the final injury he suffered for the season.

He was unable to play again in the regular season, as the 49ers opted to keep Jimmy Garoppolo as their starting quarterback. But he was able to recover from his injury to earn a healthy free agent contract.

The San Francisco 49ers had a lot of success last year with their defense. After all, they led the league in QB pressure. But with Nick Bosa not playing because of an injury, the 49ers have no clear answer for how they will handle their rushing depth.

The team will continue to focus on getting the best possible playoff seed and maintaining its NFC West lead. On Thursday, the 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks. If they win, they'll head to Green Bay for the divisional round.

The 49ers have a solid depth chart at defensive end and will look to keep their secondary deep. However, they will have to make sure they have enough help in the middle to contain the Buccaneers' offense.

Impact on 49ers' chances of winning

The San Francisco 49ers are missing several key players due to injury. But one player, Joey Bosa, is expected to be in the lineup this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He will need to practice before the game, however.

Bosa has been an integral part of the 49ers' defense in 2019. In his first five games, he has already racked up six sacks, which is just shy of last season's total of seven.

The 49ers hope to get him healthy in time to face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. With Dee Ford in the lineup, he should be able to get more room to work. This will make it easier for Arik Armstead to make plays on the edge.

It is likely that Bosa won't have the full snap count against the Buccaneers, though. If he does, he could be facing more hurries than he's seen in recent weeks.

Last week against the Dolphins, Bosa had three sacks, which is a season high. This is good news for the San Francisco 49ers, who are trying to win the NFC Championship.

While the 49ers are expected to advance, there are some lingering questions about the health of other important players. In particular, the team is missing cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Jimmie Ward, both of whom have been out for most of the season. And wide receiver Deebo Samuel will be sidelined for at least two more games.

All of these injuries will affect the rest of the team. For example, if Bosa doesn't play, the team will need to find another finisher. Whether that means another edge rusher or another receiver, it's unclear.

When Bosa plays, he needs to make a few game-changing plays. This is particularly important if the 49ers hope to stymie the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl run. That means he will have to generate pressure and get to Stafford. Getting to Stafford isn't always the easiest part of the job, but he's shown that he can do it.

The team will hope that Bosa's return will help it keep the Rams' offensive line off the field, especially in the second half of the game. After all, the Los Angeles team is talented, and they have the ability to turn an NFC Championship into a one-sided contest.

How Many Sacks Does Nick Bosa Have This Year?

how many sacks nick bosa have this year

The question of how many sacks Nick Bosa has this year is one that will be answered by several different people. This is because, in addition to being an American football defensive end, he is also a college football player at Ohio State. He was drafted in the NFL's second round this season, and has already been a big part of the San Francisco 49ers' early success.

sacks in a season

If you've been following Nick Bosa since he entered the NFL, you've probably heard his impressive two-sack performance against the Seahawks. Earlier in the season, he had four sacks, including three in a blowout win over Miami. His six-sack performance in December was also notable, as the former Ohio State defensive back is one of the best pass rushers in the league.

He's been the 49ers' sack leader for the last six weeks, recording at least one sack in all but one game. The only exception was the loss to Atlanta. It was a close call.

Nick Bosa is an excellent pass rusher, but not just because of his sacks. He's one of the best run stoppers in the league, too. In fact, the San Francisco 49ers' run defense has been the best in the NFL this year.

As for his sacks, he's had a career-high 15.5 this season. That's more than double his output from a year ago, and the first time he's been able to log more than 15 sacks in a single season since 2006.

But just how many sacks can you have in a season? Well, it turns out there's only a few players in the NFL who've achieved the feat, and even fewer who have reached the magic number of 20.

There's no real way to measure how many sacks you'll get, and other measurements are becoming more important. Still, the average edge defender will rack up about half a sack in a game, while Bosa is averaging about 1.35 per game.

Considering that, he's a clear front-runner for Defensive Player of the Year. Plus, he's got a lot of motivation.

Bosa hasn't missed a game this season, and his 17.5 sacks are only two shy of Al Al Smith's franchise record. He's also only two sacks away from becoming the first 49ers player to have two 15-sack seasons in a row.

He's also one of the best pass rushers in the game, and has been consistently good for a third straight year. He's not expected to leave San Francisco until 2020, but will be a free agent in 2024.

sacks in a game

Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers has had a stellar year. Throughout the season, he has been the leader in the NFL in sacks, quarterback hits, and tackles for loss. As a result, he is considered a prime candidate for Defensive Player of the Year.

Currently, Nick Bosa has 17.5 sacks. This is two sacks away from the franchise record set by Aldon Smith in 2012. He also has the most sacks in a single season by a Niners player since Michael Strahan had 22.5 in 2001.

Bosa is one of only two players to have a career-high 17.5 sacks in a single season. His teammates, such as linebacker Joey Parsons and defensive end Chris Jones, have also recorded more sacks than Bosa.

He has also won the NFC Defensive Player of the Month award for November. During the month, he registered three sacks in three games. It is only a slight drop from his sack total for the entire season.

During the win over the Miami Dolphins, he recorded two sacks, forced a fumble, and recovered a fumble for a touchdown. In addition, he had eight tackles and a pass defensed.

Bosa has now recorded a sack in nine of his 15 appearances this season. The only game in which he did not record a sack was the Week 5 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

In his last game, Bosa logged three sacks against the Miami Dolphins. Considering that he has only missed one game all season, he is likely to be ready to play on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With a win on Sunday, Bosa can make his case for Defensive Player of the Year. He could also dethrone Maxx Crosby, who is expected to win the honor. However, he could face the Bolts offensive line, which has been very effective protecting Justin Herbert.

If he can continue to produce, Bosa will be the NFL's best defender for years to come. He has also won the respect of his teammates and the offensive players on his team.

sacks in a career

One of the most exciting players in the NFL is San Francisco 49ers' Nick Bosa. Not only is he a dominant force on the defensive line, but he is also a smart, funny guy. He is the sack leader in the NFL, and has become the top candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Before he played for the 49ers, Nick was an All-American defensive end at Ohio State. He won the Smith-Brown Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year award, and was unanimously named First-Team All-Big Ten. In college, he was a consensus 5-star recruit.

Now, in his fourth NFL season, Bosa has recorded a career-high 111 tackles and 11 1/2 sacks. He has also added a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.

After four seasons in the league, Bosa has a total of 298 career tackles, 40 sacks, five forced fumbles, and nine quarterback hits. He is coming off a season in which he set a new career high in sacks and won Pepsi Rookie of the Month.

Bosa is currently two sacks from tying Aldon Smith's franchise record of 19.5 sacks from 2012. It's still three weeks to go, but with a record-setting season in 2017, it's possible that Bosa could become the first player in the NFL to win the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.

While he's still a young player, Joey Bosa is a lot stronger than he was during his rookie season. He's also much faster. His ability to get to the quarterback and bring him down is impressive, and it's a skill he'll likely continue to develop.

He is one of the most consistent defenders in the NFL, and he's not afraid to do something different. For example, when he was playing against the Seattle Seahawks, he swung in from left to knock loose the ball from Taylor Heinicke.

Earlier in the season, Bosa won the Pepsi Rookie of the Month award for a second time, and has a solid case for NFL Defensive Player of the Year. With a number of games remaining in the regular season, and with the NFC West already decided, the 49ers will need more from their young defenders.

sacks this season

The San Francisco 49ers have won eight straight games and are still on the road to the NFC playoffs. However, Joey Bosa has yet to reach his goal of 25 sacks this season.

If he continues to play at the same level he has been, it is not unlikely that he will break Michael Strahan's 2001 NFL single season sack record. As the 49ers prepare to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14, they will need to get back to practice. But while Joey Bosa will be in the mix to win Defensive Player of the Year, he will not be focused on the award.

He is one of the best pass rushers in the league. In fact, he is on the pace to set a career high in sacks for the second time. With 15.5 sacks in 2021, he is just two sacks away from breaking Aldon Smith's franchise record of 19 sacks.

In the meantime, he is on a nine game streak where he has recorded at least two sacks. This past weekend, he had three sacks in the win over the Dolphins.

Joey Bosa has also been getting a lot of respect from other players on the field. A couple of players even said he was the only one who had earned the NFL player of the week award for Week 13. It is a testament to how good he is that he has not lost his focus.

Nick Bosa is a defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers. Throughout his four years in San Francisco, he has already amassed a total of 39 sacks and is one of the most dominant pass rushers in the league.

He has been named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for November. In addition to the award, he has been named to the NFC Pro Bowl. While he hasn't reached his goal of winning Defensive Player of the Year, a win over the Raiders on New Year's Day would help him get there.

He has also been ranked as the top defensive end prospect by ESPN and Rivals. During his junior year of high school, he was the first-team 7A all-state player.

How Many Detroit Lions Players Are in the Hall of Fame?

how many detroit lions players are in the hall of fame

You might be wondering how many Detroit Lions players are in the hall of fame. There are seven players that have been enshrined into the hall of fame: Bill Dudley, Lem Barney, Dick Lebeau, Joe Layne, Chuck Creekmur, Herman Moore, and John Henry Johnson. If you're a fan, you can read more about these players and their accomplishments at the official Detroit Lions site.

John Henry Johnson

The Detroit Lions Hall of Fame contains a collection of players that played for the team over the course of their professional football careers. Among those are Hall of Famers Barney Karras, Jim Brown, and Joe Perry.

John Henry Johnson was a star running back during his time in the NFL. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions, and scored seven touchdowns and 6,803 rushing yards during his career.

In his time in the NFL, Johnson earned two 1,000-yard seasons and was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. While in Detroit, he was part of a stacked backfield with Joe "The Jet" Perry.

Despite his stellar performance, Johnson was never a playoff winner. He also suffered from marital and personal problems during his career.

He played in the Canadian Football League for a year with the Calgary Stampeders. His most productive season occurred in 1960 when he carried the ball 118 times for 621 yards.

Dick Lebeau

When you think of the Detroit Lions, you probably imagine their running backs. But there are a few great defenders in their hall of fame as well.

Former Detroit Lions defensive back Dick LeBeau spent 14 years with the team. He retired with 62 interceptions. It makes him one of the top 10 NFL players of all-time.

His 1970 season was his best. The Lions finished with a 10-4 record and earned a playoff berth. In that year, LeBeau set a career high in interceptions with nine. He also returned nine fumbles.

Although LeBeau is not a native of Detroit, his career began in Detroit. After playing for the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers, he signed with the Lions as a free agent. As a defensive back, LeBeau was widely considered the best in the game.

After the 1972 season, he coached the Cincinnati Bengals. He stayed with the team as a coach, scout and broadcaster.

Lem Barney

Lem Barney was a cornerback and punter who played for the Detroit Lions from 1967 to 1977. He had 56 interceptions for his career, and had over 1,000 yards on kicks and punts. In addition to his football career, he also worked as a sports broadcaster.

He was a two-time first-team All-Pro, and he was named to the NFL's All-Rookie team in 1967. As a rookie, Barney had 10 interceptions, including one that was returned for a touchdown.

The Lions had an eight-game winning streak from 1969 to 1970. They were one of the first two wild card teams. But in the NFC Divisional Round, they lost to the Dallas Cowboys. The team's winning streak wasn't repeated since Joe Schmidt took over as head coach in 1972.

Lem Barney was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1992. He was selected to seven Pro Bowls, and he earned a spot on the 1967 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year team.

Herman Moore

If you are a Detroit Lions fan, you're probably already aware of Herman Moore. He is a former wide receiver who played for the team in the 1990s.

Before he was selected by the Lions, he had an outstanding college football career at Virginia. He earned First Team All-American status as a wide receiver, and finished his collegiate career as the Cavaliers' all-time leader in receiving yards.

In his 12-year NFL career, Moore caught 670 passes for 9,174 yards and 62 touchdowns. He was a four-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro.

As a member of the Lions, Moore helped the team win two NFC Central Division titles and six playoff games. His record for receptions during the 1990s is one of the most impressive in NFL history, and he holds several other records, too.

He is also the second player after Jerry Rice to record three 100-catch seasons. At the time of his retirement, Moore was the Lions' all-time leading receiver.

Bill Dudley

The Detroit Lions have a number of Hall of Famers on their roster. These players were a significant part of the team's success over the years. A few players only played a few seasons in Detroit, but the majority of them spent their entire career with the Lions. In fact, the Lions will have 22 players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame when the 2021 induction ceremonies take place.

One of the best players in Detroit's history was Bill Dudley. He was the Lions' return man and punter. His career began in the early 1940s.

Dudley was a great athlete, weighing about 180 pounds and playing at five-foot-ten. Despite his size, Dudley was a very versatile player. As a runner and return man, Dudley had 1322 rushing yards and 465 punt returns.

He became a fixture in the return game, earning an MVP award in 1946. He also led the league in lateral passes in that year. During his career, Dudley scored 18 touchdowns.

Joe Schmidt

It's no secret that the Detroit Lions are one of the oldest teams in the NFL. That said, they have been able to develop some of the greatest players in NFL history. The team has 22 players in the Hall of Fame, and most of these players played a significant amount of time with the team.

Joe Schmidt, for example, was a member of the Detroit Lions for thirteen years. He helped the Lions win two NFL titles during his tenure. During his career, he became one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

One of the many accolades that Schmidt received was an induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His record as a coach was also impressive. In his six seasons with the Lions, he had a 43-34-7 record.

One of the more notable achievements of Schmidt's career was his fumble recovery. He recovered eight fumbles in his last season. This is the second-best single-season fumble recovery record in NFL history.

Joe Layne

The Lions are among the oldest teams in the NFL, with a roster of 22 players who have made it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Most of these players spent most of their careers with the team, but several only played three or four seasons. This leaves them with just 6% of the 362 inductees.

Of the 22 Detroit Lions players inducted into the Hall of Fame, 16 played a significant part of their careers in Detroit. The Lions have a reputation for developing great players, and this has led to many of the best players in NFL history having their career began with the Detroit Lions.

Joe Schmidt, a three-time All-Pro defensive tackle, started his career with the Lions. He helped the team win two NFL championships in the 1950s. His first seven years in the league, he didn't miss a start.

Jim Layne had a 53-29-2 record with the Lions. Layne led the NFL in passing yards in 1952 and passing attempts in 1953. He finished his career with 118 touchdown passes. However, he didn't get to play in the 1957 title game after he broke his leg.

Lary

There are 22 Detroit Lions players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Some played for a few years, while others spent most of their career with the Lions. Most of these players have been inducted after having a significant impact on the team's success. Those that made the cut include a great running back, a strong defender, and a dependable blocker.

The Detroit Lions have won four NFL championships. They also have three first-team All-Pro selections, one of which was a defensive end. In the 1980s, the Lions advanced to the playoffs twice. However, they have only won one game in the postseason.

The Lions have developed some of the best players in the NFL, including two defensive tackles. Bill Walsh coached the team for six seasons from 1967 to 1972. A few of the players that he worked with included Barry Sanders, Alex Karras, and Curley Culp.

Bill Walsh earned a reputation as a devastating hitter. He was also one of the best tight ends in the NFL in the 1970s. His career was shortened by knee injuries.

Chuck Creekmur

The Detroit Lions have produced a lot of great players. Several Hall of Famers came from the team. These Hall of Famers are listed below by the number of seasons they played for the Lions.

Jack Christiansen was one of the top defenders in the NFL in the 1950s. He earned several All-Pro honors and led the league with 12 interceptions in 1953.

John Henry Johnson was an excellent running back for the Lions. In three seasons with the Lions, he rushed for 1,145 yards.

Lou Creekmur is a Hall of Famer who helped the Lions win three championships. As a left tackle, he blocked for many high-flying offenses. When he retired in 1958, he had never missed a game in his 10-year career.

Charlie Sanders was a dependable blocker for the Lions. After retiring as a player and a coach, Sanders returned to the team as a scout. During his career with the Lions, he was a member of five Pro Bowl teams.

How Many Detroit Lions Fans Are There?

how many detroit lions fans are there

If you are a Detroit Lions fan then you are no stranger to their big games and you're probably wondering how many fans the team has. If you are a fan, you are probably looking forward to their upcoming game against the Dallas Cowboys. You'll be able to watch the game on the internet or on TV and if you're not a Detroit fan you can still enjoy the game.

Matthew Stafford

If you're a diehard fan of the Detroit Lions, you'll be thrilled to hear that the team's new signal caller, Matthew Stafford, has been named a Super Bowl champion. After all, he's been around for over a decade and has played in three playoff games. He also won the organization's all-time passing touchdown record, which is pretty cool.

While he's had his share of missteps in the NFL, Stafford is also a 13-year veteran who's made his fair share of plays. As a result, he's one win away from clinching the Lombardi Trophy. And, if the Rams are smart, they'll try to avoid a similar fate.

In a recent podcast, Stafford spoke positively about the city of Detroit, a place he called home for 12 seasons. His wife, Kelly, is a community activist and had brain surgery in the city last year. But, it's the hometown that made Stafford who he is today.

Despite losing three straight games to the Green Bay Packers in Week 12, the Los Angeles Rams still managed to put together a successful season. The team reached the NFC Championship Game, where it was up against the San Francisco 49ers.

Darius Slay

Whether you're a longtime Detroit Lions fan or a diehard Eagles supporter, you've likely heard of Darius Slay. The cornerback is in his second season with the Philadelphia Eagles, and he's become one of the top players in the NFL.

Slay was the 36th overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft. He was considered a talented athlete, but his lack of experience in a man-heavy offense prevented him from getting a start right away.

Slay was named to the First-Team All-Pro and NFC Defensive Player of the Week during the 2017 season. His speed, agility, and ability to get open in coverage are among his strengths.

Slay made a name for himself as a leader in the community. His social media accounts feature many photos of him interacting with fans and kids. He has even offered free football camps for local athletes through his Twitter account.

Slay grew up in Detroit, and he attended a number of local high school games. During his junior year at Old Redford High, he met freshman guard Rocket Watts. Watts told reporters that he was influenced by Slay during his freshman year.

While playing for the Detroit Lions, Slay developed a strained relationship with head coach Matt Patricia. When Patricia was fired, he became embroiled in a rift with his former team.

Golden Tate

If you're a Detroit Lions fan, you're probably very disappointed that Golden Tate is no longer a part of the team. He was a great receiver for the team, but he also brought mixed signals to the locker room.

The Detroit Lions have been without their top wide receiver since the 2020 season. They have traded him and a third-round pick for a nose tackle. It's a tough move for a franchise, but management is realistic.

Golden Tate is a 5'10" 197-pound receiver who can play inside and outside. But his best position is the slot. A big reason why Tate was so valuable in Detroit was because he was able to turn screen passes into huge gains.

As a result, he was able to lead the Lions in receptions and receiving yards every year of his four-and-a-half seasons in Detroit. And he's been a part of one Pro Bowl.

After signing a five-year, $31 million contract in 2014, Tate was able to make the most of his time in Detroit. He was the most reliable receiver on the team and was an integral part of Matthew Stafford's success.

However, his stats dipped in 2018, when he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. Luckily, he made up for it by catching six touchdowns in the playoffs.

Homecoming game

There's no question that the Detroit Lions are a force to be reckoned with. This year, they are the top team in the NFL and their fans have been lauded on a global scale.

They've gotten a lot of attention from ESPN, HBO and other major sports outlets. The team's recent wins have helped boost their perceptions, as the Lions have a strong winning streak. A win over the Buccaneers on Sunday would be a big help for the team's playoff hopes.

The team has announced that it's going to pull out all the stops to get its fans hyped for the game. Fans will be treated to a few things, including a Barry Sanders bobblehead, a grey rally towel and a special ticket offer.

Other noteworthy items include the "Detroit Lions Official Mobile App". The app is a must-have for longtime and newer fans alike. It includes pre-game and in-game coverage, video-on-demand clips of player interviews, interactive stadium maps and more. You can even play augmented reality games to take you inside Ford Field.

While the app's most impressive feature is its ability to track game stats, there are also many other interesting features.

Defeat of the Giants

If you were a Detroit Lions fan in 1934, you may remember the New York Giants. The Giants played against the Lions in the NFL championship game. However, that game did not end well.

The Giants lost to the resurgent San Francisco 49ers. They also lost wide receivers Dwayne Harris and Brandon Marshall during the week five loss to Los Angeles Chargers.

Despite that, they are still in the NFC playoff picture. The Giants need to get healthy and make some key corrections. Until then, they will likely have to wait for the next Thanksgiving Day game.

A team with a 5-7 record has never won three games in a row. It is the longest streak in the league since 1983. This could spell trouble for the Giants.

The team was expected to have a tough time against the Detroit Lions, especially with running back Saquon Barkley injured. Still, the Lions showed why they have been on the rise under new head coach Dan Campbell.

The team showed that they can win in the red zone and on the ground. Running back Jamaal Williams led the charge with two touchdowns. But the Lions also showed off their defensive and special-teams prowess.

Defeat of the Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys made a statement in the second half of their game against the Detroit Lions. They scored two touchdowns in under three minutes. And they held the Lions to just six points. That's why they came away with a 26-7 victory.

In the first half, the offense was a mess. There were five turnovers, including two interceptions. Dak Prescott threw an incomplete pass on the opening play. He completed 24 of 39 passes for 284 yards and one touchdown.

Dallas' first three-and-out in the game was a result of the Lions' defense forcing a punt. After two punts, the Cowboys moved the ball with relative ease.

A few minutes later, Dallas scored on an Ezekiel Elliott rushing touchdown. Then, in the fourth quarter, Dez Bryant and Tony Romo connected for a 50-yard score.

The Lions had their moments, but they couldn't get it done against the Cowboys. Both teams had some big mistakes in the first half, but it was Detroit's defense that kept the game close.

Despite Dak Prescott's rustiness, he had a strong second half. After his first interception, the Cowboys were able to score a touchdown.

After a Trevon Diggs interception, the Cowboys drove down the field with an 82-yard drive. Their longest drive this season.

How Many Detroit Lions Are in the Hall of Fame?

how many detroit lions are in the hall of fame

How many Detroit Lions are in the Hall of Fame? Some of the most famous names are Calvin Johnson, Curley Culp, Lem Barney, and Frank Gatski. Read on to learn more.

Dick "Night Train" Lane

Dick "Night Train" Lane was a Hall of Fame defensive back. He was also known for being a ferocious tackler. In his fourteen-year career, he recorded 68 interceptions.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1974. He also was selected for the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time team.

The nickname Night Train originated from a popular song by Buddy Morrow. According to Lane, he initially did not like the name, because it "criticises his ethnicity". But eventually, he came to enjoy it.

He became a fan favorite during the 1960 season. His tackling style and pass snatching abilities helped him earn First Team All-Pro honors.

When he was a rookie with the Rams in 1952, he set the rookie record for interceptions. This record still stands today. Even after the increase in the number of games played in the National Football League, it still stands as the all-time single-season record.

Dick "Night Train" Lane had a very eventful life. He married three times. One wife was a jazz singer, Dinah Washington. After her death, Lane remarried. A few years later, he divorced.

Lane was a member of the Lions' Ring of Honor. It was during this time that he became known for his infamous tackling style.

Lem Barney, a former NFL player, has been recognized as one of the greatest defenders in the history of the Detroit Lions. He is also a member of the Professional Football Hall of Fame.

Lem Barney was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on September 8, 1945. He started playing football at a very young age, starting at quarterback for his high school team. Later, he shifted to secondary positions and played for Jackson State University.

After graduation, Barney joined the Detroit Lions, where he remained for eleven seasons. During his time with the team, he was a key member of their return game, and was also a punter.

His versatility earned him seven Pro Bowl selections. In addition, he received the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. By the end of his career, he had 56 interceptions, more than 1,000 yards in fumble recoveries, and three defensive touchdowns.

At the start of his rookie season, he had an interception in the first game and returned it to the home zone. This was a highlight for the Lions. Then, he had 15 more interceptions the following year.

In 1970, the Lions made the playoffs for the first time in eight years. They finished the regular season with a 10-4 record in the Central Division. However, they lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Divisional Round.

Curley Culp

Curley Culp is a former defensive tackle in the NFL. The seven-time All-Pro left the field after the 1981 season, having spent 14 years with teams including Houston, Kansas City, and Detroit. His best season came in 1975, when he finished with a 10-4 record and was named to the first team All-Pro. He was also selected to the AFL's All-Defensive Team.

After his playing career, Culp worked as a farm laborer. In the summers, he traveled to farms in California to load watermelons on trucks.

In addition to his football career, Curley Culp also excelled at wrestling. He won the national heavyweight title at Arizona State in 1967. He also won back-to-back Arizona state high school wrestling championships in 1963 and 1964.

Curley Culp was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl IV team in 1969. He was one of the best nose tackles in the league. He also was an important part of the Chiefs' defense in their first Super Bowl win in 1970.

Curley Culp started 68 games for the Chiefs during the 1968-1974 seasons. In 1975, he earned the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year award, the Newspaper Enterprise Association's Player of the Year, and was an All-Pro.

Frank Gatski

If you look at the National Football League's Hall of Fame, you might not see a lot of players listed as offensive linemen. But the Detroit Lions' Frank Gatski is one of those names. As a center, he was the anchor man of the offense. During his professional career, he was a consistent player who never missed a practice or game.

When Gatski entered the NFL in 1945, the Browns were a fledgling team that had never won a championship. They had a 12-2 regular season record in 1946. Then, they advanced to the playoffs in every year except 1947.

But the Browns missed the playoffs in 1956, and then the team's star, Otto Graham, retired. This left the team with only one starting center on their roster. So, Gatski, who had already been on the roster as a rookie, was given the job.

Gatski's performance on the offensive line made the Browns more successful. They reached the playoffs in the next five seasons, and won four straight league titles.

After his playing career, Gatski became head coach for the West Virginia Industrial School for Boys. He coached at the school until its closure in 1982. In addition, he spent some time as a scout for the Boston Patriots and the Cleveland Browns.

Ollie Matson

Matson made a huge impact in the integration of American sports in the 1950s. He was an all-around athlete who starred in both college and professional football. His speed, agility, and elusiveness set him apart from other ball carriers.

He rushed for over 5,000 yards in his NFL career. In his first season, he was named to the Pro Bowl. A year later, he led the NCAA in rushing with 3,166 yards. During his career, he also caught 23 touchdowns.

Matson earned six Pro Bowl selections and was elected to six All-Pro teams. He was a member of the National Football Foundation's College Hall of Fame. He retired from the NFL in 1966.

Matson was born on May 1, 1930 in Trinity, Texas. He moved to San Francisco with his mother, Gertrude, when he was a teenager. When he was a student at City College of San Francisco, he starred in both football and track. He led the university's team to an undefeated season. At age 18, he competed in the 400 m race at the Final Trials.

After graduation, Matson transferred to the University of San Francisco. During his time there, he set school records for rushing, receptions, and total offense.

Calvin Johnson

When Calvin Johnson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 8, he joined Gayle Sayers and Jim Brown. But while Johnson's induction was a landmark event, his relationship with the Detroit Lions has been anything but.

The former wide receiver was named to six Pro Bowls, was the franchise's all-time leading receiver with 11,619 yards, and holds the NFL's record for consecutive 100-yard receiving games. That's a pretty big accomplishment, especially for a player whose only other postseason appearances were for the Lions' AFC Central rivals, the Packers.

He caught at least 67 passes in eight of those seasons. His 1,964 receiving yards in 2012 remains the NFL's single-season receiving yard record.

Johnson has a long, storied grudge with the Lions. His final season included knee issues, a number of injuries, and a number of games in which he was unable to catch a pass.

Despite his success, he still has not had any sort of meaningful conversation with the Lions since his retirement in 2016. It's a bit baffling. And there's no reason to believe that the two sides will ever repair their rift.

Fortunately for the Lions, there's one person they can turn to for help.

John Henry Johnson was an American football player who played for the Detroit Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Oilers, Calgary Stampeders, and Ottawa Raiders. He was a fullback and halfback, and was named an All-Pro four times.

Johnson attended Arizona State University. He was chosen by the Steelers in the second round of the 1953 NFL draft. His nickname was "The Million Dollar Man" because of his rushing production in the 49ers' "Million Dollar Backfield."

Johnson was traded to the Detroit Lions in 1957. The Lions won the title in 1957. They lost both the playoff games, but Johnson was an important part of the Lions' success.

He also was a two-time 1,000 yard rusher with the Steelers. In 1960, Johnson added 213 carries for 787 yards.

As a rookie, he was named the CFL Most Valuable Player. When he retired in 1964, he had 6,803 rushing yards and 48 touchdowns.

He was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987. He was named to the HOF All-1960s Team. After his career, he was ranked fourth on the all-time rushing list.

Johnson was a dynamic playmaker on the Lions' 1957 championship team. Buddy Parker, the coach, praised him as an excellent blocker.

COVID-19 symptoms while attending a game

There are certain precautions that must be taken in order to reduce the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus while attending a game. The virus is transmitted by contact with respiratory droplets.

If you have a fever and are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, you should call your health care provider. You can also contact your local emergency room. Symptoms include difficulty awakening from sleep, shortness of breath, bluish discoloration of fingertips and lips, and chest pain.

Depending on the severity of the infection, it is important to stay home and avoid contact with others. You may also need to limit your activities, including sports. In some cases, you may need to stay home for a few days. However, this is not always necessary.

During high transmission times, it is especially important to wear a mask to reduce the spread of germs. Masks are available for purchase at the stadium. Also, be sure to wash your hands frequently. Using hand sanitizer is also recommended.

If you do develop symptoms, isolate yourself until you are cleared by your physician. Symptoms can be mild, but can sometimes cause permanent organ damage. For more information on symptoms and treatments, visit the CDC.

People who have not been vaccinated should avoid outdoor gatherings and swimming beaches. Additionally, large crowds can increase the chance of transmission. It is important to wear a mask and maintain a social distance.

Vaccination can help reduce the chances of getting a severe illness, but if you are not fully vaccinated, you can still catch COVID. To avoid this, opt out of pregame gatherings. Instead, plan smaller get-togethers with family and friends.

If you suspect you have COVID-19, you should notify your supervisor or residence hall advisor. You should also notify your close contacts. A Close Contact is someone who was within six feet of you for a cumulative total of 15 minutes within the last two days.

If you are a student, you can ask your Community Advisor to request a COVID-19 test. These tests are free and are conducted by the University's Monitoring and Assessment Program.

How Many Patriots Died in the Revolutionary War?

how many patriots died in the revolutionary war

If you are wondering how many patriots died in the revolutionary war, you have come to the right place. This article will cover a lot of different topics, from major battles, to Loyalist prisoners, to the Pennsylvania Continentals mutiny.

Major battles

The American Revolution was an 18th century war between the British Empire and 13 colonies of North America. Its main goal was to establish a self-governing nation with independence from Britain. Several major battles were fought during the war.

One of the first major battles of the war was the Battle of Lexington. This was a confrontation between angry resident militia and British forces. It resulted in the capture of the rebels' arsenals.

Another major action was the Battle of Long Island. There were 40,000 soldiers on the battlefield. More than 2200 men were lost.

A smaller battle that was a significant action was the Battle of Brooklyn. There were more than 8,000 prisoners of war and 132 Americans were killed.

Finally, the Battle of Yorktown was the most important battle of the American Revolution. It was a sweeping victory for the Patriots that ultimately convinced France to join the war as an ally.

The British Empire was the world's military superpower. However, tensions between its citizens and the residents of thirteen American colonies had reached a boiling point.

The war began with the Declaration of Independence, a document issued by an assembly of colonial statesmen announcing their decision to break with the British Empire. In response, the British Parliament passed legislation authorizing peace negotiations.

Major battles of the American Revolution included the Battle of Saratoga, the Battle of Bunker Hill, and the Battle of Cowpens. They also included several sieges.

British casualties

The American Revolutionary War had many British casualties. Some estimates place the total at around 24,000 men. This includes battlefield deaths, as well as those who were taken prisoner. It also includes men who remain missing.

At the start of the war, Britain had a number of advantages. They had a large naval fleet, professional military forces, and ample financial resources. Despite these advantages, however, Loyalist support posed numerous restrictions on the British's ability to win the war.

In addition, spies were used extensively by both sides. Spies risked their lives to gather information and pass it on. Throughout the war, the British had a shortage of manpower. Aside from the British regulars, the British hired German mercenaries called "Hessians" for combat.

By 1775, the British had around 30,000 soldiers. Of these, 36,000 were fighting. However, these were not enough to occupy all the colonies. As a result, Britain had to deploy troops in several theaters.

At the first major battle of the war, Bunker Hill, the British were defeated. There were about 140 colonists killed and 226 soldiers. But the battle was considered one of the bloodiest in the American Revolutionary War.

Another important victory of the war was the Battle of Princeton. After the defeat of the British at Bunker Hill, the British retreated toward Boston. But before they could reach the city, they were attacked. Their forces were surrounded and captured.

Loyalist prisoners

The American Revolution was a war that pitted colonial Patriots against the British Empire. These Patriots were also known as the "Congress Men" or the "Whigs".

This was a global conflict that included battles in Europe and North America. Several European powers contributed to the cause, including France and the Netherlands. In addition, American Patriots were aided by the Native American tribes.

During the War, more than 24,000 men lost their lives. Of these, some 8,000 died while in active military service and a further 17,000 were wounded or died from disease.

By the time the conflict ended, some 100,000 Americans had departed for the British colonies in the West Indies. Moreover, many potentially neutral colonists were driven into the ranks of the Revolutionaries by the war.

A number of other events took place during the war, including the Boston Tea Party. It led to the Coercive Acts, which were designed to restore imperial authority in Massachusetts.

As a result, the government sent a large naval force to New York City. There, it was defeated by the Continental Army. Many of the British soldiers surrendered.

The Battle of Saratoga was a major setback for the British. Some 6,200 soldiers were forced to surrender. They had lost more than half their troops in the fighting.

The Battle of Kings Mountain was another major victory for the Revolutionaries. They had repelled the Loyalists.

Prussian officer turned American patriot, Baron von Steuben

Friedrich Wilhelm Baron von Steuben was a Prussian officer of German descent who was an important European contributor to the American Revolutionary War. He helped turn the Continental Army into a professional fighting force.

Von Steuben had the advantage of being fluent in both French and German, but he could not speak English. His knowledge of military drill led to the publication of his "Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the Troops of the United States."

Von Steuben was commissioned by Congress in 1778 as a major general. His training manual was translated into English and became an official guide for the United States Army.

After the war, von Steuben settled in New York City. Although he did not receive any military pay for his service, he was given a pension of $2,500.

In addition to his work as a military leader, von Steuben also served as Inspector General of the Continental Army. He supervised Washington's army while they were encamped at Valley Forge in Pennsylvania during the winter of 1777-1778.

At Valley Forge, Steuben trained Washington's troops in the art of bayonet charging and bayonet usage. This proved to be essential in the climactic battle of Stony Point.

After the American Revolution, von Steuben served as a supply officer for General Nathanael Greene. However, he was dismissed from the army after the war, when Frederick the Great drastically cut military spending.

Pennsylvania Continentals mutiny

In the late autumn of 1780, the Pennsylvania Line of the Continental Army faced a number of issues, including a sluggish economy and shortages of ammunition. As a result, soldiers began mutinizing. This mutiny would prove to be the biggest uprising in the army's history.

Despite the fact that the Pennsylvania Continentals mutinied in the nick of time, it didn't stop there. A group of officers attempted to turn the mutiny into a British victory. Some of these officers were wounded in the melee.

In the ensuing months, officers harassed sergeants and privates for breaching discipline. At least two soldiers were killed. One man was killed by accident while another was murdered in a melee.

However, this was not the only mutiny that occurred during the Revolutionary War. The most important was the New Jersey Line Mutiny. It occurred between 20 and 25 January.

During this mutiny, two British agents were captured. They were executed. Two men were shot, and a few more died. Ultimately, a Congressional committee decided to send officers to Philadelphia to investigate the mutiny.

Another mutiny would eventually force Congress to move out of Philadelphia. The following year, General "Mad Anthony" Wayne mutinied again. Eventually, the mutiny was settled and the line resumed normal operations.

The mutiny was a symptom of the growing class conflict in the Continental Army. Many of the participating mutineers were recruited by the state government. The government was also responsible for paying soldiers.

First Continental Congress and the Westminster Massacre

The American Revolutionary War was a war between the United States and Great Britain. It took place in North America and Europe, encompassing both land and naval battles.

Although the majority of the fighting occurred in the north, there were battles fought in the Caribbean. During the war, a large number of patriots died. There are estimates that as many as 25,000 Americans died, while active in the military. Another estimate has a number as high as 50,000.

The American Revolutionary War began in 1775. The first major action involved a group of local militiamen who clashed with British soldiers at Lexington and Concord, N.C., on April 19, 1775. The battles were a launching pad for a series of battles that would take place throughout the Revolutionary War.

Despite the fact that the Patriots' war was a struggle to gain independence from Britain, they were able to receive assistance from a larger coalition of European Powers. They were aided by the Hessian troops from several German principalities, and by Native American tribes.

Several of the European Powers, including the United Netherlands and Spain, also joined in the war. Their financial support was critical in helping the Americans win the war.

After the American Revolutionary War, Britain signed peace treaties with France and Spain. These treaties ended the war, but resentments continued to flare up in the west.

The First Continental Congress organized a protest against the Intolerable Acts, a series of British colonial policy measures. George Washington was commissioned as the commander in chief of the Continental Army.

Who Has Been on the Patriots the Longest?

who has been on the patriots the longest

In the NFL, the Patriots have had a number of great quarterbacks, but who has been on the team the longest? Some of these names include Roethlisberger, Jones, Brown, Chung, Slater and Zappe. There are many other names that have made an impact on the Patriots, but these are some of the most well-known players that have played in the league.

Slater

Having been in the NFL for a decade, Matthew Slater has carved out a niche for himself as a special teamer. He has made a name for himself as an inspirational leader both on and off the field, and is widely regarded as the most decorated special teams player in the NFL.

Although Matthew Slater has never played a full season, he has played in 173 career games for the Patriots. In fact, he has played in a larger number of games than any other Patriots player. So, it's no surprise that he has earned an impressive PFF grade.

As a defensive back, Slater is credited with being one of the best at gauging team mood, and it seems that this trait is still prevalent. It's not uncommon to see a veteran player, like Slater, taking part in the team's pregame captain's meetings. During the AFC Championship game, Slater won a crucial coin toss that helped his team win overtime.

For a brief period, Matthew Slater was the go-to guy in the locker room. After a few years, he was eventually weaned off non-special teams duties. However, he has reclaimed his role as the team's gunner on punt coverage units.

Slater also has earned the honor of being the longest-tenured active player on the Patriots roster. He will pass Bruce Armstrong and Julius Adams on the list.

Roethlisberger

For almost 18 years, Ben Roethlisberger has been the signal caller for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's earned two Super Bowl trophies, a franchise-record 165 regular season victories and a spot as the top quarterback in the NFL.

Despite his success, however, Roethlisberger has had a few hiccups. The Steelers are in the AFC North and have a mediocre record against the Patriots. Moreover, the Pats have won at least 20 games and have won more than half their games in the past year.

During the 2006 season, Roethlisberger was injured in his team's first game against the Raiders. The following week, he missed the game against the Buccaneers, as well.

However, despite these recent setbacks, Roethlisberger has been the leader of the Steelers. He led them to three Super Bowl appearances in six seasons. He's also won two AFC Championship Games and three MVP awards.

This year, he's on track to become the third quarterback in NFL history to win two Super Bowls and lead his team to the playoffs in each of his first two seasons. That's one more accomplishment than the legendary signal caller Dan Marino.

In his career, Roethlisberger has a 90.5 overall grade against the Patriots. His best game against the Pats was in 2004.

When the Pats and the Steelers met in the Super Bowl, the rivalry was at a fever pitch. After a thrilling game, which the Patriots won, it was believed that the Patriots were the superior team.

Chung

Patrick Chung is one of the most valuable players on the New England Patriots. He played a key role in helping the defense win three Super Bowls.

Chung was a second-round draft pick in 2009. After a short stint with the Philadelphia Eagles, he returned to the Patriots for the 2014 season. While he had a couple of memorable games, he was also plagued by injury. During his time in Philadelphia, Chung had five missed games and a shoulder injury in early December.

The Patriots were able to make up for Chung's absence with a two-year contract extension. With this new deal, the safety will take home $1.1 million in base salary in 2020 and $800,000 in per-game roster bonuses.

Chung is a solid investment for the Patriots in his second tenure. He has a great track record in special teams and a good set of hands in the backfield.

Although Chung hasn't been the best player on the field, his contributions have been invaluable. He's a great runner and has proven to be a good defender around the line of scrimmage.

His health has been an issue, but he's still a great example of what it means to be a Patriot. He's played in every playoff game for the Pats for the past decade.

When asked to name the best part of his tenure with the Patriots, Chung said it was his teammates. They praised his leadership.

Jones

Until last Sunday, Jones had appeared in all 88 of the Patriots' games, tied for the longest streak in the NFL. Bill Belichick has never speculated on how much longer the star guard will be on the field.

Jones is expected to miss at least a couple more games after suffering a high ankle sprain against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also isn't sure how long he will be on the shelf. However, the Patriots have shown that they can play with an empty pocket.

The offensive line struggled to protect Jones in the first half. But, in the second, they held up. When the Patriots went to a rushing attack, the front five was able to neutralize pass-rushers. It also helped Jones complete six of seven passes 10 yards or more beyond the line of scrimmage.

There were also two penalties for holding. But Jones, who had been called for "dirty play" by Brian Burns, didn't seem to let the criticism get to him. In fact, he made a point of letting the officials know he was playing well.

A key defensive play came when Jones drew a safety away from Henry. Later, the Patriots were able to find the end zone with another touchdown on a scramble.

The Patriots are still working to establish themselves under new head coach Matt Patricia. And while the offense is putting together some chunk plays, it isn't exactly showing the kind of identity the team needs to make it successful.

Zappe

The Patriots could have been destined to linger in last place in the AFC East. They've been playing catch-up since early in the season. But the Patriots are a team on the rise, and the offense is starting to show some life.

They're averaging 27.7 points a game. That's up from the 20.8 that the Patriots averaged over their first four games. So far, the defense has given up 15 points in their last two games.

Despite that, the Patriots are still in last place in the AFC East. But with Zappe in the mix, they're picking up steam. And they're showing that they have some young quarterbacks on their roster.

Bailey Michael Zappe was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft. He came into the league as an underdog, and he's proving to be a major player. In his first three games, he's already passed for 781 yards, tossed a touchdown, and has only had three interceptions.

In Week 4, he led the Patriots to their first overtime win in almost two years. His touchdown pass to Jakobi Meyers drew a huge reaction at Gillette Stadium.

After that, he tossed a pair of touchdowns in the next two games. The first was a two-yard pass to Tyquan Thornton. It was the first time a rookie has made a touchdown pass to a rookie in nearly 30 years.

Brown

Probably no player in the NFL has been on the Patriots longer than wide receiver Antonio Brown. Not since Julius Adams has a player had as long a tenure on the team. Fortunately for the Patriots, Brown has proven to be a very valuable asset.

Although he is no longer on the roster, he may still be available. In fact, the Patriots could be looking to sign him as a free agent.

As an NFL player, Brown's career has seen some ups and downs. But his ability to get open is undeniable. Whether you're talking about the pass or the run, Brown can line up anywhere on the field. During the Super Bowl, Brown proved to be a valuable member of the special teams. He made an impact with a 55-yard punt return in the first game of the season and pitched a lateral to Antwan Harris in the final drive.

The Patriots are always on the lookout for talent, especially at the wideout position. They've signed some of the more polarizing players in the league to low-risk deals. Those who have managed to stick around have helped the Pats claim six Super Bowl titles.

One of the biggest questions facing the Patriots is whether they can reclaim the $9 million split signing bonus. This could mean more money in the bank for the Patriots.

There's also a potential lawsuit. According to a new report, a woman has alleged that Brown exposed himself to her while working on a mural in his home. She also accused the wideout of making a series of unwanted sexual advances.
