2023 nfl mock draft

The 2023 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, and with 82 college underclassmen declaring early for the draft, there will be plenty of quarterbacks to select from.

Here are our top picks for the upcoming draft. We will continue to update this list as the draft progresses.

1. Bryce Young

Young, the 2021 Heisman Trophy winner, is an impressive quarterback with phenomenal awareness and the unique ability to make 265-pound defenders miss. Additionally, Young can make plays outside the pocket as well, giving him time in short passing games or the option to quickly get downfield on a quick read.

He's been compared to Drew Brees when it comes to mental processing, as he displays an uncanny level of awareness regarding defensive rotations and blitzes. It's a rare combination of traits that could prove invaluable for any team searching for a franchise quarterback.

A wise drafter must take into account that Young won't join an offense packed with offensive line talent or pass-catching weapons, but his leadership abilities and transcendent winning potential could propel a team to new heights.

2. Will Anderson

Will Anderson, a five-star prospect from Dutchtown High School, emerged as an impressive force on Alabama's defensive line. In 2021 he led the SEC in tackles for loss and sacks, finishing second overall in both categories in program history.

He possesses the type of explosive all-around ability that coaches in today's NFL prize, making him an ideal fit for the Bears. His ability to wreak havoc on defense's interior and create openings to get to quarterback makes him a perfect pick.

Chicago desperately needs a playmaker at the back end of their defense, and Anderson fits that bill. He's an athletic edge rusher with strong hands and length to break through blocks with ease. Additionally, his upper body shock can knock blockers off their feet and open up space for him to rush the passer.

3. Jordan Addison

Addison is an outstanding big-play receiver with excellent route running skills and impressive athleticism. His hands are also impressive, making him a versatile player who can play in either the slot or outside.

Despite his small stature, he boasts the speed to be a serious threat at the next level. Plus, his quick North-South speed gives him an edge that could test most NFL CBs.

He has the potential to make an immediate impact at the next level, though he may not be a top WR1 right away. Nonetheless, his traits suggest he could develop into an excellent receiver and will be an asset in any team's passing game.

4. Breece Hall

Hall achieved legendary status during his senior year at Wichita Northwest High School in Omaha, Nebraska where he quickly became the state's all-time leading rusher with 2,082 yards and 36 touchdowns. Additionally, he earned first team All-Metro and All-State accolades.

Hall's combination of size, burst and balance through contact sets him apart from the other running backs in this draft. His 4.39-second 40 time at the Combine suggests he has enough speed to break through any line.

At the Combine, his lateral movement as well as his ability to catch passes out of the backfield were impressive. These traits make him a prime candidate for any offense using zone blocking schemes in 2022.

5. Anthony Richardson

Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson is one of the most impressive prospects in this class. He possesses exceptional speed, height and arm strength that make him an enticing prospect to watch.

He still has a lot of work to do to reach his full potential, however. His accuracy is lacking and needs improvement.

Teams that can address Richardson's inconsistencies and give him the chance to grow under a coach like Arthur Smith could find Richardson to be an incredible value in the 2023 NFL Draft.

People who know Richardson describe him as self-aware, coachable and eager to learn. His potential as a game-changing quarterback should not be underestimated; however, his inconsistencies must be addressed before his time as a top pick arrives.

6. Peter Skoronski

Peter Skoronski is an impressive tackle prospect who boasts a formidable work ethic. He also stands out for his exceptional football IQ and ability to ask questions and stay engaged with teammates.

He's a prototypical left tackle who should be able to excel at the next level and possess the necessary skillset for success in both run and pass games.

Skoronski made all but one start for Northwestern during his sophomore season and earned a 93.3 pass-blocking grade. He even held his own against Ohio State's talented edge rushers, allowing only one pressure.

Skoronski has the potential to be a franchise left tackle at the next level and should be considered one of the top five selections for the Chicago Bears. He's an ideal fit for their offense which needs an elite lineman with strong instincts and an upbeat attitude.

7. Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson is an NFL running back with the potential to make an immediate impact. The Texas product possesses the size, strength and speed needed to be a force on offense.

He possesses impressive power and vision that enable him to make big plays in the open field, such as his ability to reroute carries and see across the entire field.

The former Longhorn is expected to be one of the top running back prospects in this class and could potentially hear his name called at the end of the first round or early in the second. Any team that selects him as their starting running back would be lucky to have him on their roster as a steal.

8. Anthony Bergeron

The all-star circuit has come to an end and the NFL Combine is about to commence. Now is an ideal time for us to release our first two-round mock draft for the 2023 nfl season.

Anthony Bergeron, a top-10 prospect who garnered much praise during last week's Senior Bowl, is projected as an NFL Mock Draft Database mid-to-late second rounder with potential growth to as high as a mid-first round pick.

The Bears have a dire need for an offensive line upgrade. Paris Johnson Jr. has the size and frame to play guard or left tackle, so Chicago may be willing to consider trading up in this regard.

9. Jordan Flowers

Flowers is an explosive playmaker who has the potential to score and make long gains on every reception. His route running and quickness give him a double move advantage that few others possess.

He possesses excellent hands and is dependable when securing the ball, making him an ideal pick for the Dolphins.

His interception against Arizona State, where he starts off-man and reads a stop route perfectly, serves as an example of his technique and awareness.

The Patriots would love to take a big-bodied receiver in this draft, but the top options may have already been taken. Fortunately, there are still some talented options available that might be worth considering.

10. David Battle

The Panthers are looking for a playmaker on defense, and David Battle could be just what the doctor ordered. His size and cover ability will complement Xavier Woods in the backfield nicely.

He possesses the athleticism to play all over the field, boasting a 4.36-second 40-yard dash at the combine. If he can continue developing at this rate, he should become an impressive starter right away.

Philadelphia could use an impact player on the interior, and Breese would be an ideal fit. He's an elite athlete and big-bodied pass rusher who can play everywhere on the field, giving them plenty of versatility.
