))Zootopia CastMeet the Characters and Voices BehinEarlier this year, Disney announced Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin officially landed the roles of the two main characters, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, in its upcoming animated feature Zootopia. Except for these two characters and some general plot points, we hadn’t heard anything about the film’s story, characters, or voice cast up until now. Disney released a bunch of new stills, which feature some new and some previously announced characters alongside the actors who will bring them to life on the big screen. These characters and their descriptions give a better idea about what to expect from Zootopia and its story. (Source:Max is an animation addict from The Netherlands. Zootopia is filling up. Disney has announced the full cast of its 2016 animated feature, set in a sprawling metropolis populated by non-human mammals. Joining previously announced leads Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin will be Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Jenny Slate, and more. Oh, and Alan Tudyk will drop by for a role that references his Frozen character.
Zootopia doesn't hit theaters stateside until later this week, but you've probably seen a chunk of the film's funniest scene. The scene tested so well worldwide that Disney Animation decided to make it the focal point of some of the trailers and TV spots. Of course, I'm talking about the sequence where Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde need to visit the DMV to run a plate, i.e., the sloth scene. But what you might not know is that Frozen star Kristen Bell provides the voice of Priscilla, one of the sloths. Her entire performance can be seen in the trailer — it's all of two words. Learn how Bell got cast in this small but choice Zootopia role after the jump.

The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when rookie Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery.
