Rainbow Road

Super Mario Bros' latest movie poster features Princess Peach zooming down Rainbow Road, the classic Mario Kart track. This image was released by the official Twitter account for the upcoming animated film.

Although we don't yet know how this will impact the plotline, we do know that Mario, Luigi and Toad will be racing on Rainbow Road - one of Mario Kart history's most challenging courses. Without any guardrails, it promises an intense yet rewarding challenge. Additionally, this course requires a special power-up in order to win: the Fire Flower.

Given its difficult nature, many Nintendo fans will be eager to witness it in action. That's why it's thrilling that the super mario bros movie will bring this beloved video game track onto the big screen for the first time ever.

Universal and Illumination have released several posters for the super mario bros movie to promote its upcoming release on April 7. One poster features Princess Peach as she speeds down Rainbow Road in the new film.

She's joined by her brother Mario, Luigi and Toad as well as several Kong characters. Each character drives their own vehicle - from Toad's over-sized truck to Donkey Kong's bike.

This latest image for the Super Mario Bros movie depicts some of Mario's most important moments throughout his illustrious career. It's a must-see for any fan of the Mario franchise.

Super Mario Bros Movie, a collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment, marks the first time we'll see the beloved video game duo on the big screen in over three decades. Produced by Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri and Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto, this film is based on the beloved series and stars an impressive cast of voices.

Fans of action-packed animated movies should definitely check it out. Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!), with a screenplay written by Matthew Fogel, this film is co-financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo and set for release on April 7, 2023.

Bowser’s Castle

This week, a brand-new poster for the Super Mario Bros movie dropped. It depicts Luigi (voiced by Charlie Day) in peril near Bowser's castle. The poster is packed with references to the franchise, such as Piranha Plants and Shy Guys.

Bowser's Castle appears as a frequent setting throughout the Mario series, first seen at the end of World 8-3 in Super Mario 64. Subsequently, Mario ventures into this castle to save Princess Toadstool from her evil twin. Additionally, it appears as World 8-4 in both Super Mario Advance and The Lost Levels games.

Mario Hoops 3-on-3 returns the castle as a basketball court, complete with various gimmicks such as Thwomps and Lava Bubbles, plus inverted gravity. Additionally, its wavy road that waves up and down can be used for tricks.

Mario Power Tennis uses the Bowser Castle Court, which differs from the Bowser Stage from previous game.

In the battle, Bowser attempts to push himself through a door on the second floor of the castle but is blocked. He then pushes Kamek through that same door without success.

This door leads to a room containing the Koopa Troop. In this scene, several different Koopa troop types can be seen; each has a portrait of Bowser above their door.

Bowser's Castle makes another appearance in Yoshi's Story, divided into four distinct areas: Mecha Castle, Lift Castle, Ghost Castle and Magma Castle. Each castle has a Bowser-like symbol at their center and is built within a lava moat rather than the earlier designs.

Bowser's Castle is the main setting for Mario is Missing! on MS-DOS and SNES, serving as a gateway to various cities throughout the real world. Additionally, it appears in Mario's Time Machine where it houses Bowser's Museum.

Donkey Kong Island

Donkey Kong Island (known as Kongo Bongo Island in the Donkey Kong Country television series and Kong Isle in Donkey Kong 64 video game) is a fictional island inhabited by the Kong family that first appears in Donkey Kong Country but appears in several games in the series. It consists of jungle, ice and snowy areas with mountain ranges extending from its top. Additionally, Donkey Kong Island is home to various animals including giant birds and snakes.

It is the home to the Kong family and serves as the central setting of the Donkey Kong series. Donkey Kong serves as their leader, offering advice to his brothers. Furthermore, he's an impressive martial artist and formidable fighter.

The island is home to an array of creatures, some more animal-like than others. It also has a diverse climate range from jungle and mines to pine forests, icy mountains or deserts. There are various caves throughout the island as well as mysterious ruins.

On the island, two major areas can be found: Cliff area with dinosaur skeletons and fossils embedded in rock; and Factory area featuring various robots. Furthermore, there is a volcano on the island which usually houses fire-based creatures like Char-Chars or jumping flames.

Donkey and Diddy Kong live in a treehouse located above an elevated cliff on the island. The game itself is an arcade side-scrolling platformer with various gameplay elements such as ground pounding and jumping moves to whimsical enemies that call out and vanish in puffs of smoke.

In the game, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong traverse various jungle levels that offer a variety of obstacles to conquer. Additionally, there are numerous "cartoony" bombs which detonate with an explosive flash after detonating.

Donkey Kong Island was one of the first locations to be invaded in the Donkey Kong series, often being targeted by various groups such as Tiki Tak Tribe in Donkey Kong Country Returns and Snowmads in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

Shy Guy

Following its successful trailer and Super Bowl ad, the team behind The Super Mario Bros Movie released two new posters featuring Mario (Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day). One depicts our energetic hero leaping through the air with his fist held high as Peach's Castle stands proudly in the background. However, another poster puts our fraternal brother in an even more perilous situation as he's captured by some Shy Guys and taken towards Bowser's castle looming over a volcano.

Luigi and his older brother Mario share a close bond, yet Luigi tends to take the lead in many of Mario's adventures. Thus it is no surprise that The Super Mario Bros Movie emphasizes Luigi more than Mario does.

Illumination Entertainment and Nintendo co-produced this film, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic from a screenplay written by Matthew Fogel. Starring Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, Sebastian Maniscalco and Kevin Michael Richardson in leading roles, this thrilling adventure is presented by Illumination Entertainment!

In the opening poster, Mario is beset with Piranha Plants and Banzai Bills as he attempts to break blocks and navigate the hazards of Mushroom Kingdom. But when he's separated from his brother for just a moment, Mario trembles with fear.

As far as the movie is concerned, this could indicate that the twins must work together more than usual in order to save their kingdom. But it could also signify they'll face more of their notoriously frightening adversaries.

Two months away from The Super Mario Bros, the team behind the film have released a brand-new poster featuring both Mario and Luigi. Both posters showcase different areas of Mushroom Kingdom in an epic style you might not expect.

The poster of The Super Mario Bros. 2 beautifully illustrates the movie's diverse environments and themes. While Mario appears to be triumphant and contented, Luigi seems anxious and overwhelmed - just like in the games. Luckily for Luigi though, he seems like a good kid so hopefully he can lend a helping hand on multiple occasions during The Super Mario Bros. 2.

Nintendo, Illumination and Universal are joining forces to bring Mario and his pals back onto the big screen. This time around, Bowser (Jack Black) is holding Luigi hostage - it's up to Mario to save him!

Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt is an American actor whose credits include numerous films and television shows. In 2014, his success as a leading man in two popular franchises -- Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World -- cemented him as a Hollywood icon.

He is best known for his role as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, he has had a successful television career, appearing regularly on Parks and Recreation since 2009.

Rae Dawn Chong discovered him in 2010, and since then he has become a well-known TV and film actor, appearing on series such as Everwood and The O.C. In addition to acting, he also sings and writes music.

The actor has been involved with entertainment since childhood. He began performing at a theater before transitioning into television acting roles.

Soon enough, Pratt gained notoriety as Andy Dwyer on NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation. After several episodes, his role as the Troller proved popular enough that he was cast as a series regular.

He portrayed Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic universe from 2014-2022. Additionally, he appeared in Disney's Jurassic World and animated TV series Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. Additionally, he is married to actress Anna Faris.

Jack Black

Jack Black has had an illustrious acting career. His most renowned roles include that of a rebellious music teacher in School of Rock and monk-turned-wrestler in Nacho Libre. Additionally, Jack starred in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, alongside appearances in Gullliver's Travels and Goosebumps.

He is an actor and comedian who has appeared in both television and movies. He stands out for his boisterous stage presence and unique facial expressions, plus he's featured in several comedic musicals.

Black was born on August 28, 1969 in Hermosa Beach, California and spent his youth growing up with his parents. Raised as a Jew, his parents divorced when he was 10, yet he visited his mother frequently throughout the years that followed.

He attended Poseidon School during his high school years, an independent school designed for those who struggle with traditional schooling. Following graduation, he continued on to UCLA but spent most of his first two years sleeping through class; eventually dropping out to pursue a career in entertainment.

After the success of Elf, Black was given various roles in other popular movies. He eventually found a niche for family-friendly projects such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its sequel Jumanji: The Next Level. Additionally, he has appeared in comedy drama Don't Worry He Won't Get Far on Foot and fantasy film The House with a Clock in Its Walls.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy is best known as Princess Peach in Illumination's upcoming Super Mario Bros movie. Additionally, she can be seen in Netflix's The Queen's Gambit.

The American-Argentinian actress made her acting debut in 2014 on the drama detective series Endeavor. Since then she has featured in a variety of acclaimed films, such as Last Night in Soho, The Witch, and The Miniaturist. Most recently she appeared alongside Ralph Fiennes and Nicholas Hoult in dark comedy The Menu.

She has long been an admirer of the video game franchise, so when she got cast as Princess Peach in its upcoming adaptation, she began researching Mario Bros to become familiar with its character.

Eventually, she became so invested in the games that she began playing them herself. She even went to arcades to hone her craft for playing her role.

The actor has a deep-seated passion for gaming, and her research into Peach led to her becoming an enthusiastic Nintendo gamer. In an interview with Modern Luxury San Diego, she expressed her devotion to the franchise - it's not hard to understand why she would be so dedicated.

Seth Rogen

More than three months after the debut of their first trailer for Super Mario Bros. movie, Nintendo and Illumination have released a second teaser featuring Chris Pratt as Mario, with Seth Rogen voice acting Donkey Kong. This clip opens in what appears to be some kind of battle arena reminiscent of what fans saw with Smash Brothers series.

Mario (voiced by Prattt) is in a precarious situation when he encounters Donkey Kong. It appears he might get knocked out of the game, but there's one pivotal moment where he punches through a yellow question mark block and transforms into Cat Mario.

Mario's transformation is an interesting addition, taking him closer to the Mario Kart games than previous appearances. We also get our first look at Bowser, the main villain of the film who is taking aim at Princess Peach and the Mushroom Kingdom with his team of star-like Lumas.

There are plenty of other references to the Mario franchise here, too, such as a brief glimpse at some iconic Super Mario Kart tracks. But it's this last scene that really gets me enthused about the upcoming animated movie.

Keegan-Michael Key

Keegan-Michael Key is one of the voice actors working on the super mario bros movie. In it, he plays Toad, the mushroom attendant from the popular Nintendo franchise. Recently he joined Kelly Clarkson Show to discuss his role in Mario movie.

Super Mario Bros movie trailer released, showing off an action-packed Mario Kart adventure! From Mario's own kart to Peach taking control, it's clear this will be the main focus of the film.

Chris Pratt, Jack Black and Anya Taylor-Joy star in the movie alongside Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike and Charles Martinet as Mario himself.

The Mario Bros movie is a collaboration between Illumination and Nintendo, set for release on April 7th, 2023. Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, it also features characters from the Super Mario games written by Matthew Fogel who previously worked on Minions movies as well as The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.

Fred Armisen

To the Movies), this animated film also features Keegan-Michael Key, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Kevin Michael Richardson and Sebastian Maniscalco as voice actors.

Chris Pratt, star of Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, was announced in 2018 as an animated film to be directed by Brad Bird. Although Pratt has been an enthusiastic fan of Mario since childhood, some viewers have taken issue with him being cast in this role.

Chris Meledandri, Illumination's CEO, stood behind the casting and encouraged fans to watch it for themselves. Additionally, he pointed out that Pratt isn't actually playing the character live-action but instead voices him as a voice actor.

Nintendo and Illumination have been working on the film for over a year, and it is set to open in theaters on April 5th. As the third animated film featuring Mario characters, fans may expect some overlap with Universal Studios Hollywood's Super Nintendo World theme park opening soon.

Sebastian Maniscalco

The super mario bros movie trailer follows Mario (Chris Pratt) on an epic journey to save his brother Luigi and the Mushroom Kingdom from evil Bowser. Along the way, Mario receives assistance from Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Toad.

Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!) directed the film, produced by Illumination and Nintendo. Matthew Fogel wrote its screenplay.
