The Tennessee Future Stars Football all-star tryouts, held in Nashville, TN, on Thursday, November 27, at the Cool Springs Community Center, will have a list of sports and skills to choose from, including football, soccer, baseball, softball and flag football.

Each participant will then have the opportunity to try out to be selected to attend a 3 Day camp and cheer at the Kentucky Future Stars All-star football game and activities. Participants will try out by performing the materials/cheers focused on during the tryout clinic. Each participant will begin by spiriting onto the try out floor. Any running or standing tumbling will be performed after the cheer performance. Running or standing tumbling is optional and not required.

It was the spring of 7th grade, and a young and naive Jackson Lampley was training to become a Tennessee Future Star. The Tennessee Future Stars is an all star football team for 7th graders, and there is also one for 8th graders. After trying out for the seventh grade team in the 6th grade, and not making it. 13 year old Jackson Lampley was determined to make the 7th grade team. I was so determined like Rocky Balboa in Rocky VI (the best movie of the series), you could 've probably made a pretty epic training montage for me. I started running up and down the massive hill that I have for a backyard, and I also bought a rope agility ladder to improve my footwork. As the years passed I felt like life was getting better and better, everything started to go my way. My first year of high school my track squad won the state championship and I joined the football team. Darry always came to my games and I could hear him on the other side of the field yelling “Go get them Pony!” I took over Darry 's spot as fullback and ended the season with over ten touchdowns. My school ethic was even better than my football and track skills.

What was most impressive was his determination related to learning to run the ball and conquer a game he had never played at any level prior to the start of his adventure. With the NFL draft just hours away, word out of San Francisco is that new Head Coach Chip Kelly in anxious to see if Hayne can make a big step forward in his second year. Even while he was coaching in Philadelphia, he was aware of Hayne 's fascinating story, telling reporters "He (Jarryd Hayne) certainly has a skill set that is intriguing.” Aside from again making the squad, Hayne hopes to continue learning to run the ball like a NFL running back as opposed to a rugby player.
