Michaela Mcmanus is the author of “Scrubbing In: On Being a Midwife, Mother, and an Artist,” and an award-winning experimental theater director. Michaela is also the founder of MichaelaMcManus.com, an online resource for women of color in the health care field.



Since then, she has had guest roles in prime time shows Castle, CSI: Miami, The Vampire Diaries, Hawaii Five-0, and other films and/or television shows. She also appeared in the music video 'Glad You Came' by The Wanted. She starred as Tara on the NBC series Awake in 2012, and as Grace Karn on Aquarius in 2015. In 2017, McManus had supporting roles in SEAL Team as Alana Hayes, and The Orville as the Krill Teleya. She appeared in the short lived NBC series The Village as Sarah Campbell in 2019.McManus married writer/producer Mike Daniels in July 2011. In December 2013, McManus announced that she was expecting their first child. The couple welcomed son Gabriel October Daniels on April 3, 2014. Their second child, Declan Griffith Daniels, was born in September 2016.

Michaela McManus is an American actress best recognized for her portrayals of Grace Karn on NBC’s drama ‘Aquarius’ and Lindsey Strauss on The WB’s ‘One Tree Hill’. A Warwick, Rhode Island native, she became interested in the show business at an early age. Following her schooling from Toll Gate High School, she graduated from Fordham University. McManus then went on to attend NYU's graduate acting program and the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) before pursuing her acting career in Los Angeles. She began her career in 2006, initially appearing in a few short films. Two years later, McManus had a major role on television when she starred in ‘One Tree Hill’. Since then, she has acted in over ten TV series along with a few films. In 2011, the actress married producer cum writer Mike Daniels. The couple has two children.
