Brian Ennals & Infinity Knives – King Cobra

Eventually, he found his way into a relationship with fellow Baltimore rapper Infinity Knives and teamed up for 2020’s Dear Sudan and 2021’s bleak post-George Floyd manifesto Rhino XXL, but King Cobra represents a new chapter of the Baltimore duo’s creative partnership.

While the duo may seem like a natural fit for hip hop experimentalism, their collaborations often break down musical lines. Tanzania-born Infinity Knives (Tariq Ravelomanana) and Baltimore-based Ennals pushed each other outside their comfort zones with their first joint LP, 2020’s Dear Sudan and 2021’s brutal Rhino XXL, but the new record is an even more potent expression of ferocity and joy.
