Frozen 3 might seem like a sure thing after Frozen II became the highest-grossing animation EVER following its release in November 2019, but a threequel has yet to get moving at Disney.

We're still confident that we will see a third movie and given that there were six years between the first two movies, there's still plenty of time for one to arrive. So if that did happen, what do we know about a possible Frozen 3 so far?

The excellent making-of Frozen II documentary series Into the Unknown (now available to watch on Disney+) goes into the sheer level of detail that goes into creating an animation, so it's understandable that there could be such a gap.

After flashbacks in Frozen II, we could also see more of Evan Rachel Wood and Alfred Molina as Anna and Elsa's parents Iduna and Agnarr. It's why Gad feels like there will only be a third movie if there "was a reason to exist" like with the sequel. "I don't know if and when there will be a Frozen 3. That's way above my pay grade," he told PopCulture.com.
