Chandler Riggs
One part Chris Nolan, one part Stephen King. His fantasy fiction is Tolkienesque, with a gritty realism that makes the blood in your veins boil. I actually bawled my eyes out the first time I read The Dark Tower series. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s not all blood and carnage though. There’s a lot of characters to care about, and a huge cast of ordinary people.
Chandler Riggs is up and walking after being hospitalized for minor surgery — and the Walking Dead star wants no "walker" jokes. On Wednesday, the former Carl Grimes actor tweeted a photo from his hospital bed informing his more than 1.5 million followers that his surgery "went well" and he's now recovering. After speaking out against the Robinhood app for blocking hot stocks like GameStop, Riggs is out of the hospital and vowing to march on Wall Street. For Riggs, finding out Carl was being killed off the show was a shock. The young actor was planning to start college, and had recently purchased a home in Georgia, where the show is filmed, when he received the call, according to THR. While he had initially planned on attending college and filming The Walking Dead at the same time, his exit led the actor to take a gap year to pursue new career opportunities instead. Despite the shock of his departure, Riggs has landed on his feet, and the now 21 year old even has a new regular TV gig. In 2019, the young actor joined ABC's drama series A Million Little Things, which follows a group of friends grappling with the aftermath of their friend's suicide. Riggs stars as P.J., who believes a member of the group is his real birth father. (Source: www.looper.com)
