Andrea Meza is Director of Family Detention Services at RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) in San Antonio. Immediately after law school, she was an Equal Justice Works Fellow with RAICES, coordinating and expanding pro bono assistance to refugee families detained at the Karnes County Residential Center, a civil immigration detention center, where she now directs the legal services program. After the two-year fellowship with RAICES, she was an Albert M. Sacks Clinical Teaching and Advocacy Fellow with the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinical Program in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was there for a year before returning to RAICES.
