Abbi Jacobson (born February 1, 1984) is an American comedian, writer, actress and illustrator. She co-created and co-starred in the Comedy Central series Broad City with Ilana Glazer, based on the web series of the same name.

Created by Abbi Jacobson ’06 (General Fine Arts B.F.A.) and Ilana Glazer, Broad City is an offbeat web series centered on the misadventures of two female best friends. The show developed a cult following online and received national attention from The Wall Street Journal, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The New York Times before catching the eye of Saturday Night Live and Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler. Poehler teamed up with Jacobson and Glazer to take the show to television. With Poehler on board as an executive producer, the quirky comedy is now a hit show in its fourth season on Comedy Central.

Abbi Jacobson is an actor, writer, and artist. She studied improv at UCBT-NY and went on to produce many successful shows such as CINNABONANZA!, Triple Play, and her solo show, “Welcome to Camp” which ran for 6 months in 2011. She is also known for her web-series Broad City with Ilana Glazer, and is currently in development with FX.

She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in fine arts and a minor in video. After graduating, Jacobson moved to New York City and began training at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. She was an AOL Artist and has published two coloring books, Color This Book: New York City and Color This Book: San Francisco. She was recently nominated by the Writers Guild of America for Best Comedy Series for Broad City. The third season of Broad City began airing on February 17, 2016 on Comedy Central.
