Murray then collaborated with BMW to design an engine that fit inside the F1's space. They asked BMW's M division to construct a 6.1 L (6064cc) V12 that would power the F1 through a transverse Weismann gearbox equipped with BMW E34 synchronizers.

This engine, which weighed 36 pounds more than Murray had originally requested, was capable of producing 550 horsepower and an incredible 546 pounds of torque. Even more remarkable is its incredible acceleration - reaching 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and 100 mph in 7.7 seconds!
