Sarah Lancaster had a turbulent childhood, one she thought had left her feeling afraid of experiencing anything new. In her early twenties, Lancaster started hosting dinner parties for friends, slowly pushing herself out of her comfort zone. She now helps people overcome fear, fear of change, fear of success, fear of rejection, and fear of failure, through the confidence to not only pursuit their passions, but to live bravely.

Lancaster has appeared on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Dawson's Creek, That '70s Show, Scrubs, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She also landed two recurring roles: on The WB series Everwood as Ephram's love interest Madison Kellner; and on David E. Kelley's FOX series Boston Public. In 2005 she starred in the TV movie Living With the Enemy. Most notably, she appeared as Ellie Bartowski Woodcomb on the NBC series Chuck from 2007 to 2012. Lancaster has also worked as a jealous girlfriend-turned-serial killer in the movie Lovers Lane, and as the blackjack dealer, Veronica Harold, on CBS's short-lived Dr. Vegas.

Born in Overland Park, Kansas, Sarah moved to Mission Viejo, California, when she was 10 years old. In 1994, she secured her first role, as a series regular on Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993). She then gained attention for her recurring role as "Madison Kellner" on the critically-acclaimed Warner Bros. series, Everwood (2002). She went on to star in Dr. Vegas (2004), for CBS from 2004-2006. Followed by ABC's What About Brian (2006), from 2006-2007. Sarah is perhaps best known for her lovable portrayal of "Ellie Bartowski" on NBC's long-running series, Chuck (2007). In 2014, Lancaster can be seen, alongside Robert Downey Jr., in The Judge (2014), for Warner Bros. Lancaster resides in Los Angeles with her husband, attorney Matt Jacobs, and their son, Oliver Jacobs.

Lancaster was born in Overland Park, Kansas, where she grew up with her younger brother, Daniel. Her mother, Barbara, was a homemaker and her father, Michael, was in real estate. It was his job that led the family to Mission Viejo, California when Sarah was ten years old. Soon after the move to Southern California, she began taking acting classes and immediately landed a talent agent. After a few months of commuting from Orange County to Los Angeles for auditions, she secured her first professional series regular role, starring as "Rachel" on Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993).
