Mike Pompeo is the new Secretary of State for the United States of America, replacing Rex Tillerson. President Trump has nominated Pompeo due to his hawkish track record with the Iran nuclear deal, EU sanctioning Russia over the poisoning of former spy Sergei Skripal in the United Kingdom, and equivocating over the Confederate flag.
