Meagan Good's maternal instincts kicked in when she saw a woman giving a baby a bath. "She was kind of scrubbing her with a washcloth and then just put her face down in the dishwater," the actress said. "She was scaring me".

Good

In 2003, a major year for Good, she landed roles in the action-drama Biker Boyz and the romantic-comedy Deliver Us from Eva, which helped her transition from child to adult actress. She also appeared as the character Vanessa for one season of My Wife and Kids, before being replaced by another actor.

In 2008, Good appeared in the horror film One Missed Call as an ill-fated college student, Shelley Baum. She appeared as an angry trophy wife in the Mike Myers comedy The Love Guru, and in the latter half of the year, she was one of the victims/gameplayers in Saw V. She starred in 2009's The Unborn with Gary Oldman and Odette Yustman. (Source: en.wikipedia.org)

Meagan

A gorgeous, gifted performer, Meagan Good was able to gracefully make the difficult transition from child and teen star to adult working actress. Born Aug. 8, 1981 in Panorama City, CA, Meagan Monique Good made her film debut in "Friday" (1995), but achieved her Image Award-nominated breakthrough in the spellbinding "Eve's Bayou" (1997) as a sexually charged teenager who may or may not have been molested by her father (Samuel L. Jackson). Good went on to land a series regular role on the kid-friendly sitcom "Cousin Skeeter" (Nickelodeon, 1998-2001) and recurred on such shows as "The Famous Jett Jackson" (Disney Channel, 1998-2001), "Raising Dad" (The WB, 2001-02) and "My Wife and Kids" (ABC, 2001-05). She played a schoolgirl spy in "D.E.B.S." (2004), showed off her dancing skills in "You Got Served" (2004), "Roll Bounce" (2005) and "Stomp the Yard" (2007), and impressed as femme fatales in the high school-set noir "Brick" (2005) and in the action flick "Waist Deep" (2006). While Good scored hits with roles in "Saw V" (2008) and the comedy "Jumping the Broom" (2011), she also appeared in the less-than-successful horror flop "One Missed Call" (2008) and Mike Myers' big-budget misfire "The Love Guru" (2008). Happily, the actress rebounded with a fun turn in the ensemble romantic comedy "Think Like a Man" (2012), recurred on "Californication" (Showtime, 2007-14), and booked the starring role on her own series, "Deception" (NBC, 2012-13), playing a detective investigating the murder of a wealthy friend.

Harlem follows Good, Grace Byers, Jerrie Johnson, and Shoniqua Shandai as four women who live in the titular NYC neighborhood, and explores the romantic and professional bumps in the road that come with their 30s. "I haven't really played a character like this yet," says Good, whose decades of acting credits include everything from Eve's Bayou to Brick, and Think Like a Man to Shazam!. She adds that her own 30s included a lot of "trying to break the misconception that 'Meagan Good is just this.'" (Source: ew.com)
