The main character, Sophie, is a young girl who, on her way to school one morning decides to stop off at the town library. Where she discovers a book that claims to be the true story of an explorer of lost cities.

I tried. I really did. I listened to almost an hour and a half off this. Sometimes books have a bunch of world building info to dump on you and the going can be rough for the first couple chapters. But this was not that. (Source: www.audible.ca)
