Six Flags Over Georgia's new addition is Hurricane Harbor, a waterpark that is included with the price of admission. The addition to the park provides people with 4 new water attractions, with a 7-acre theme park expansion which will span 7 acres. The waterpark features the world's first hybrid zero-gravity slide.

WATER

To participate in the waterpark activities, you must wear lined swimsuits. We don’t allow guests to enter the water areas wearing street clothes, cut-off shorts, denim shorts or athletic clothing. Because they can damage the rides, we also do not allow swimwear with buttons, snaps, rivets or zippers. But don’t worry — if you don’t have appropriate clothing, swimsuits can be purchased at Tradewinds Gift Shop! Here are more guidelines to help you pick out the best attire for your trip to Hurricane Harbor.

"Hurricane Harbor is unlike any other water park in the region, and will quickly become a must-visit destination for all of Atlanta and the southeast region," said park president Dale Kaetzel. "Our enormous water park will create a 'getaway atmosphere', as guests are able to cool off on several one-of-a-kind water attractions and then take flight on one of our 11 world-class roller coasters, all in the same day. We expect Hurricane Harbor to have a significant economic impact to the community as it draws thousands of guests from near and far, which should positively impact future development in the area." RIDE

What could be better than a day at an amusement park riding roller coasters? How about a day that includes huge water slides too? Six Flags Over Georgia, located just east of downtown Atlanta, has the traditional thrill rides, but also includes Six Flags Over Georgia Hurricane Harbor Water Park with a 38,000 square foot wave pool that creates four foot waves in eight different patterns; three water slides that send guests through 180- and 360-degree turns either as single or double riders; a one-acre children’s water playground with six water slides and multiple water buckets that dump about 2,000 gallons of water. My nine-year-old son’s favorite, however, is Tsunami Surge, a hybrid zero-gravity slide that sends riders plunging down five stories.
