FutureStarrHoxton hotel Los Angeles
The Hoxton hotel is renowned for its powerful location, its chic perspective, and the company's vibrant, positive culture. It is the scene for Hollywood's most influential collisions. You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but our historic building was once the HQ of L.A. Railway. Now, it sits in the city’s newest centre of action — Downtown LA. From the Arts District to Little Tokyo, the neighbourhood has something for everyone with an almost endless assortment of buzzy restaurants, go-to galleries and watering holes that pack crowds as eclectic as their surroundings.By this time, hundreds of folks wished they'd picked an alternative conversation, were not walking bump out of their seat, peeing themselves in fear.
The Hoxton is a series of open house hotels with everything you need, and nothing you don't. We're inspired by the diversity and originality of the streets and scenes that surround us, born out of a singular purpose to make every neighborhood we are in a better place to be. We're located in the heart of Downtown LA with amazing views of the old theatres and stores along Broadway. The Hoxton is housed in the historic Los Angeles Transit Building, originally completed in 1922 by the Los Angeles Railway Corporation. The gorgeous Beaux Arts building has been fully restored with a rooftop bar and pool, restaurants, bars, coffee shop, meeting spaces and 174 comfy bedrooms.
When I had to travel to LA for a conference for work I was concerned about where my job was booking rooms. That concern melted away when I pulled up to the Hoxton, Downtown LA, and walked into what I can best describe as vintage charm mixed with modern tech appointments. The unlimited water and coffee for your room are definitely nice touches. Assistant Front Desk Manager, Christina Kok, probably sensed my unease when I checked in and went out of her way to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She checked on me by every day, which is rare, but something that just added to the quality of my stay. The staff at the front door and the restaurants were also very courteous and capable. Ridesharing can get you wherever you need to go that a walk can't. The 174 rooms range in size from ‘Snug’ to ‘Biggie’, but all are spacious and packed with plenty of stylish touches. The majority of the furniture is vintage and sourced within a 40-mile radius; standout pieces include beautiful rattan headboards, palm print cushions and Oaxacan-style rugs. There are Roberts radios on the bedside tables as well as a stack of books hand-picked by Hoxton friends, creative from the local community who act as ambassadors for the hotel. The Hoxton is big on zero waste, which means there are recyclable water bottles and milk cartons in the rooms, and their in-house range of bathroom products, Blank, are all refillable. Bathrooms are smartly appointed, with marble-topped sinks and zellige-tiled walls. (Source: www.telegraph.co.uk)
