How many seconds are in a day

The average person sleeps for about 8 hours a day. That’s 224,800 seconds. Over the course of a year, that’s an amazing 4,380,800 seconds. If you spend an hour each day watching a movie, that’s 730,952 minutes. And if you multiplied those numbers by 60, that’s 45,156,000 hours.Time is a long line. Clocks are designed to work simultaneously using intervals. That's the purpose of a clock. So if someone takes a bunch of precise clocks, they still have the same time. If not, we can not measure time and understand each other. The reason of the misunderstanding is that some clocks are broken. Consumers will suffer a loss. But all we agree that an error of a few seconds means nothing in ordinary life. Our experience confirms that fact. But if we take special situations which appear in the finance world, bank or cryptocurrency trade, the second is everything. You can lose your million USD extremely fastly. To figure out even smaller units, you can keep doing multiple conversions to smaller and smaller units. Just make sure that the units you're using are all the same. For example, there are 24 hours in each day, but not all months have the same number of days. To convert one year to seconds, you'll need to skip using months and convert to days, hours, minutes and finally seconds.

SECOND

Not trying to make you look bad lol, but there is 86,400 seconds in one day, multiplying that by 365 is 31,536,000 seconds in 1 year. We really would be millionaires by your seconds definition, after about 11.5740741 days. Sorry but your if you're saying that it would be 1 million seconds after 12 years, then your really far off, 12 years would actually be 378,432,000 seconds. No worries though, better to know the right awnser than believe something that isn't correct, plus finding out online is better than finding out in an argument with someone in person in my opinion, don't have to deal with that embarrassing moment.Time is a long line. Thanks for your comment, Matthew! The shorter time period you mention is called a sideral day, which is the time it takes the Earth to make a full rotation with respect to distant stars. However, as Earth turns also around the Sun, it has to turn a little bit more each day to find the Sun at the same place. So, in relation to the Sun, one day equals 24 hours (86,400 seconds). We're glad to have you spending your seconds WONDERing with us!The number of seconds in one year will depend on the type of calendar you use when approximating time. A Gregorian calendar year consists of 365 days and 1 day has 24 hours, each hour consists of 60 minutes and each minute has 60 seconds. To determine the number of seconds that are in one year, you have to know how many seconds are in one day, one week or one month before they can be summed up to get the overall seconds that make up a year. The Julian year calendar was introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 B.C. Although its efficiency faded over time, it is still used for astronomical calculations. One Julian year has 365.25 days. If you want to determine how many seconds are in on Julian year, you will multiply the total number of days by the total seconds in one day. This can be expressed as; 1 Julian year = 365.25 days 365.25 days = (365.25 x 86400 seconds) = 31,557,600 seconds Therefore, a single leap year in the Gregorian calendar has 31,557,600 secondsThe Sidereal year is widely used by the astronomers. One Sidereal year has 365.25636 days. We multiply the number of days in the year by the total number of seconds in one day. This can be expressed as; 1 Sidereal year = 365.256 days 365.256 days = (365.256 x 86400 seconds) =31,558,118.4 seconds Therefore, a single leap year in the Gregorian calendar has 31,558,118.4 seconds (Source: www.calculatorology.com)
