Frank Woods

Frank is an easier and more rewarding personality than any I have ever come across. I find that his way of thinking has greatly influenced my thinking in recent years. More specifically, the thoughts on military school I share in this preface.

Three years after stopping Perseus's plan, one of his agents, Vikhor "Stitch" Kuzmin, organizes a raid on CIA Safehouse E9 in Berlin, in an attempt to lure Adler out. On January 20, 1984, Adler assembles a squad comprising of Woods, Zeyna Ossou and Wyatt "Bulldozer" Jones to infiltrate the Pines Mall in New Jersey. Upon discovering a cache of Nova-6, the squad is ambushed by Stitch and his men, who successfully capture Adler, while the rest manage to escape.

In 1981, Woods is tasked with eliminating Iranian terrorist leaders Arash Kadivar and Qasim Javadi by President Ronald Reagan, and works with Mason and Russell Adler. Kadivar revealed to the group of the resurgence of "Perseus", a Soviet spy who Adler was tasked with stopping for decades, and believed was dead. After the operation, Woods was briefed by Hudson about "Perseus", and President Reagan gave Adler the order to form a team to stop the Soviet spy and his network. Woods and Mason become members of Adler's team alongside CIA agents Lawrence Sims and Eleazar "Lazar" Azoulay, MI6 agent Helen Park, and new operative who is code named "Bell". Woods and Mason were sent to Kiev to deal with a situation while Adler and his team went to Germany to capture/eliminate Russian mafia boss Anton Volkov. (Source: hero.fandom.com)

In Call of Duty: Black Ops II, he is mostly seen as an NPC, although he is playable in the level "Suffer With Me", and several missions in Call of Duty: Black Ops: Declassified. Throughout Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Woods appears as a narrator for several campaign missions, past and present. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, he's one of the four Archetypes brought back to life, possibly because of the efforts of Project Blackout. Throughout the game's Specialist HQ mode, he instructs Specialists with their various equipment and special weapons.

Woods became available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone on August 26th, 2020 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as an operator for the Demon Dogs for players who pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. He is also an unlockable operator in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and is usable in Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone as a NATO Operator, requiring 15 5-kill streaks in Multiplayer.
