I used to like the show until I saw the Farmhouse episode. They put an addition of two additional bedrooms off the side into an initial budget. Then they decided not to build the addition and use the existing space instead, but somehow that did not reflect on the budget, did not make it smaller. Putting new windows/doors put them 10 grand over budget when in fact it shouldn't have been since they did not build the addition. And here's what really set me off: the contractor says that for a three bedroom house with two baths you need bigger septic. What they did - they went away with one closet to make the house look like 2 bedroom! Hello! You did not remove space, you still have one bath more than you started with, and you are not rebuilding a septic???? People don't care about the formalities you cling to, if you have a bonus space that looks like a bedroom, it WILL be used as a bedroom (add a fancy wardrobe and that's it), and you will still have more people and more sewer usage. This is false. Either do not have your contractor say "it's not enough" on camera, or do things properly, otherwise it looks like a scam to me. I do not want to buy a house that looks like candy and to have septic problems a few months late

Flip or Flop Atlanta Season 3: Release Date, Hosts, Renewed or Cancelled

It would be an understatement to say that real estate has seeped into the modern reality TV business. More than in just a technical sense, much of The Real Housewives franchise and such formulaic clones about gated communities prominently focus on the pomp of the grandiose settings: hilltop villas, beach houses, boathouses – and so on. But this is barely the tip of the iceberg. With the emergence of the real estate barons as Z-listed celebs, the industry eventually latched on to television as reality TV proper: home renovation shows.
