Five Daughters Bakery Atlanta

I’ve always loved eating treats from bakeries. I remember walking home from school when I was a kid to smell the freshly baked bread coming out of the ovens. As I got older I couldn’t bake the way my mom did, but I still wanted to try my hand at it. But I didn’t have a perfect solution.

Daughters Bakery

Love five daughters bakery so much! I've been to the one at ponce a couple times. But I never pass up an opportunity to get one of their delicious donuts. This time, I got the maple donut and the maple quinnamon roll. The roll was delicious! Basically a croissant/donut/cinnamon roll all in one deliciously wrapped pastry. The maple was so tasty and just the right amount of cinnamon mixed in. The maple donut was fabulous as always!

Isaac: There are several reasons. First, we use only the best ingredients, which cost more. We buy organic and locally sourced products when possible, like our eggs. All our ingredients are non-GMO, we don’t use any artificial sweeteners or soy, and we always use grape seed oil for frying. Second, our doughnuts are more labor intensive. It takes four days to make a 100 Layer Doughnut, while most traditional doughnuts take about three hours to make. They also weigh more than most. Most of our doughnuts, like the Chocolate Sea Salt doughnut, weigh as much as eight Krispy Kreme doughnuts. (Source: www.atlantamagazine.com)

Overall, I have had a positive experience working at the bakery. My co-workers/managers bring a lot of joy and encouragement. I feel supported at my job, and am fully aware of my job responsibilities. Communication has gotten better, and the managers are receptive to open discussions about concerns. Pay increases happen often and tips are great! It can definitely be overwhelming at times due to influxes of people buying donuts (i.e. weekends), and it can be tiring, but still a lot of fun!

I am on my third cycle of working for Five Daughters Bakery and I keep coming back because of the great people and the great pay. I think there is something better out there, but I keep coming back. Each time I've been welcomed back with open arms. We are given a great pay rate including tip shares along with FREE DONUTS!!!! The management is always available with listening ears. The hardest part is overnight, but once you get acclimated it becomes easier. They care not only for me, but my families well being. I really enjoy the environment and the energy here.
