For families this is a show you can watch with your children. I'd say ages 12 and up. The grandma is the person I'd go to for advice. Life skills! These are good people trying hard to make their lives work. Relationships...... you can learn from this program. (Source: www.commonsensemedia.org)

Loved this series - good, clean family show - something that is so scarce on Netflix. The family is not perfect and have their struggles, but the series puts a high value on family and healthy relationships. (Source:

Heart warming family story that's going through a lot of change. Shows that a family can live through hard times. Treat Williams is so great as the father! Hope you continue the series! (Source: )Seem to be ok. Hard to be about Chesapeake Bay when area it is shot looks nothing like Maryland. Also when we it crabs they aren't legs, but are spread all over the table covered in brown paper. It is hard being from Maryland and seeing setting out of place.

Nothing sexually inappropriate so ok for kids, but they would find it boring. I actually really like it, it’s easy to watch and pretty wholesome, APART from - embarrassing stereotypical/bigotry Irish/English nonsense. This 1920’s Hollywood approach is outdated and as someone from Ireland, I find it quite offensive.

Is Treat Williams Really Leaving Chesapeake Shores?

It would be a tragedy for Mick — an expert aviator just like Treat Williams (via Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) — to lose his life after all he's been through with his family "Chesapeake Shores." Intriguingly, signs point to the fact that producers plan to draw this particular storyline out a bit. Only two episodes remain in the short, 10-episode season of the series. In a pre-season interview with Entertainment Tonight, the cast, including Williams, teased a cliffhanger of epic proportions for the season finale. While that doesn't mean that Mick's disappearance is the cliffhanger in question, there's not much time left to set up something else that's equally jaw-dropping. Additionally, the timing of the interview teases the possibility it was filmed near the end of production on Season 5, which could, in turn, offer hope to fans that Williams will appear in the season finale. Here in Cliché Shores, you can live a quiet, sanitized life surrounded by all those hackneyed themes and characters you expect from lightweight escapist paperbacks. Scruffily handsome ex-boyfriend from your high school days? Yeah, he and his three-day beard are here. Father who wasn’t home often enough when you were a kid? He’s here, too. So is the grandma who spouts bland maxims. Practically everyone is fashion-shoot attractive, and practically everyone is white. (Source: www.nytimes.com)
