As you’re led to your seat, you’ll pass the glamorous bar area known as the Tavern at Atlas, where cocktails are shaken and musicians play. Beyond it, the vaulted main dining room has jaw-dropping art by Picasso, Chagall, and Matisse. Many say the food at Atlas single handedly reinvigorated Atlanta’s fine-dining scene. Need convincing? Start with the amazing young sprouts salad, which incorporates sunflower sprouts from a local farm. For your main dish, try the sorghum-glazed duck breast with farro, beet-strawberry puree, and hakurei turnips.
