Atlantic fish company boston

You can’t get seafood between Boston and New York City, so it may come as a surprise to learn that almost half the weekly fish imported to these two cities comes from the same trawler company located out of Montreal, Canada. This "Atlantic fish company" is actually Boston Harbor Trawlers, a Canadian company that doesn’t even sell to retailers in either of the U.S. cities.

FISH

: If you thought Atlantic Fish Company was more of a tourist trap, think again. Locals in the know flock here as well for some of the city's best (and freshest) seafood dishes. This upscale Back Bay restaurant features classic raw bar staples along with appetizers like lobster ravioli with shiitake mushrooms in a basil cream sauce. Pair a glass of Pinot Grigio with a cup of sea bass chowder or fish stew before moving on to a generous portion of tuna tartare. While lobster (prepared fra diavolo style, boiled, or tossed lightly with mayo for a fresh lobster roll) and crab dishes have their own section on the menu, specialties abound with fried captain's platters, pan-seared sea bass and sautéed swordfish piccata. Meat lovers can nosh on a ten-ounce filet mignon, 14-ounce New York strip, or a "carpetbagger" with fried oysters and shallot sauce. Round it all off with a heaping slice of peppermint stick ice cream pie with rich chocolate ganache.

Atlantic Fish has been a favorite of both locals and tourists alike, offering classics like award-winning New England Clam Chowder and Maine Lobster to more adventurous items such as our signature New England Lobster Feast ( 2 lb. Steamed lobster served with clam chowder, mussels, steamers, corn on the cob, and new potatoes). The understated and timeless decor of the restaurant immediately draws the attention of those who enter. The dining room reminds one of a classic cruising vessel, complete with detailed woodwork and murals reflecting the spirit of the sea. Tailored to intimate dining with cozy booths throughout.
