Amber Scott is an American actress, best known for playing 7-year-old Maggie Banning in the 1991 American fantasy adventure film Hook. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film met with commercial as well as critical success and received five nominations at the 64th Academy Awards. Scott received the prestigious ‘Young Artist Award’ for her performance in Hook. Apart from acting, she also contributed to the film’s soundtrack by singing a song titled When You're Alone. The song, which was written by Leslie Bricusse, went on to become quite popular. Though Scott’s performance in the film was appreciated by many, she could not establish an acting career. In fact, Hook remains to be her only feature film to date. Amber Scott has stayed away from the limelight since her debut performance in Hook.

Barrie’s 1911 novel Peter and Wendy (Peter Pan). In the movie, Scott played Maggie Smith, the daughter of Peter Banning, a successful corporate lawyer, played by Robin Williams. Scott’s performance in one of the most popular films of the 1990s received critical acclaim and was loved by the fans as well. She received ‘Young Artist Award’ for ‘Outstanding Young Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture’ along with other child actors of the film. Amber Scott was born on October 10, 1984, in the United States of America. After her high school, she went to the prestigious Trinity College (liberal arts college) in Hartford, Connecticut. While studying at Trinity College, Scott was a member of the popular Delta Psi Epsilon sorority, which is also known as ‘St. Anthony Hall.’ She graduated from Trinity College with a bachelor’s degree in 2006.
