Savage have no official ties to R. Kelly, who in the past has given them money, but they have been on a crusade to expose the singer.

Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage spoke with TMZ exclusively about their daughter, telling the outlet that Joycelyn has missed out on very important family updates due to her unwavering loyalty for Kelly. Much like the past death of her paternal grandfather, the Savages says Joycelyn also hasn’t been able to be contacted directly about the passing of her maternal grandmother. “Joycelyn, we need to hear from you directly,” Jonjelyn told TMZ with hurt in her voice, continuing by adding, “we’ve always gone through third-party information, and weren’t able to hear from her directly without what I can ‘prison calls,’ where the calls are known to be scripted.” (Source: blackamericaweb.com)

Joycelyn “June” Savage, is a Resident Assistant at Queen Mary University of London. She and her brother, Timothy, were allegedly forced to go in the basement of their apartment building during their stay in Raleigh, North Carolina. They told their family that they were stopped from leaving a hundred and threatened with their life.

When the police went to Mr. Kelly’s Chicago apartment in January to check on Ms. Savage and Azriel Clary, Mr. Kelly’s other live-in girlfriend, officers reported back that the women told them they were fine and staying there voluntarily. In March, they defended Mr. Kelly on “CBS This Morning,” telling the anchor Gayle King that their parents were simply trying to squeeze the singer for money. An unidentified teenage leopard who was living in California's National Zoo for six years was removed by vets at the facility. The exotic animal who's been identified by a camera as a 14-year-old female named Joycelyn. She was found to be displaying a behavioral syndrome and was sent to the hospital for an examination. Though veterinarians and investigators said no underlying physical problems existed, the leopard was not in a good state of health.

She recently sat down with Gayle King to discuss a 2019 interview with King, where azriel and another woman defended Kelly.
