Frankie Linda Lons is a retired American singer, dancer, and actress. She is the mother of American singer, Lyricist, rapper, and actress Keisha Cole, who was born in 1979. Keyshia outside her mother's family called her Frankie Chin, which referred to her Chinese heritage.
Keyshia Cole has opened up about the death of her mother, Frankie Lons, earlier this week. In an Instagram tribute to Lons on Thursday evening, Cole wrote about the shock and devastation of the loss. “This is so hard man. Can’t really even find the words,” Cole began. “I honestly don’t even know how to feel. You can never prepare for something like this… Ever!” Cole wrote that she’s been quoting Lons for weeks, because her “humor was unmatched.” “Naturally so funny, that’s what I loved about your personality,” Cole continued. “We all did.” In addition to thanking her and her mom’s fans and supporters. Cole also noted that it was Lons’s greatest wish to have all of [her] children in one place. Cole concluded her tribute by promising to fulfill that wish for Lons. “Even through our differences …. Frankie Lons went from being a struggling, broke artist to becoming a prosperous professional musician.
“Every time my mom relapse [sic], it breaks my heart more than it’s already been broken,” Cole had written in an Instagram post in August 2018. “I am hoping if any of you are dealing with a family member who’s battling with drug addiction. And you are learning how to cope with the struggle of it all. And all the pain it brings to see a loved one constantly relapsing.” (Source: pagesix.com)
Frankie was born seventeen years ago and has never known as much as she wanted. Born to a single mother, she felt as if she had no choice but to struggle. Frankie underwent a traumatic experience which left her struggling to overcome her pain. In a moment of vulnerability she begin to wrote, and it became a coping mechanism for her. In the two years since, she has written three novels, two of which were published.
