If you’re looking to write fast, test your speed by writing one word for 8 seconds. If you’re able to string multiple words together without stopping, you’re writing fast. But if it takes more than 3 seconds, you’re writing slower than your goal. The more words you can string together quickly, the faster you write.

2 Fast 2 Furious was released worldwide by Universal Pictures on June 6, 2003. The film grossed over $235 million worldwide, becoming the 17th highest-grossing film of 2003, and the then-highest grossing film in the franchise. The film, however, has received mixed to negative reviews, praising Walker's performance and Singleton's direction, but criticized the sudden change of the theme from the installment's first film.Plans for a sequel to The Fast and the Furious were developed immediately following that film's box office success.

Because of the incredible response to The Fast and the Furious, we knew we had struck a chord with young audiences. I believe we had tapped into a culture—the very urban world of street racing. It really resonated with our fans, who continued to support the film when it hit the streets on DVD and video—I mean, it really just exploded again, allowing even more people a chance to take the ride. We knew they were ready for another film, but only if we delivered one with the same authenticity and edge as the first. Well, we've done just that.
